In order to test their level of attention, Frankfurter Aufmerksamkeits-Inventar(FAIR) Attention Test is implemented and Conners' Comprehensive Teacher's Rating Scale(CTRS-10) are used on the week before and after music activities. Also videotaping is used so as to analyze how correctly they do their task and how the correctness is changed period by period and to evaluate how often for ten minutes they make an eye contact with their teacher. The conclusions of this study are as follows: Firstly, the organized music activities have a positive affection on improving the attention of three middle school students who have learning disabilities. Fair Attention Test shows that they can do their task with more accuracy than in the previous period. Secondly, three students of this study improved their attention and made an eye contact more often than before this study, which is revealed through the analysis of the pre and post test results evaluated by CTRS-10. Our research team has developed diagnosis papers which diagnose reading ability of students, reading materials and guidance of reading method which are proper for reading ability and various appreciation expression activities in the leveled reading supporting system applying the multimedia techniques, which is developed as a previous research for reading education that considers the reading ability and level of elementary school students. However some difficulties have been raised in activities after reading proper for level because we suggested them all the same regardless of level though we proposed the reading methods and reading materials by level, We tried to develop the leveled activities post-reading applying multimedia techniques which are proper for reading ability of students and exam the effects of leveled reading supporting system considering the subordinate goal of 7th Korean curriculum of elementary school and the ICT standard of the Education Ministry on this thesis for promoting an interest in reading of students. The leveled activities after reading which are applying multimedia techniques could be guided and applied on the web, and helped develop the reading ability and self-leading learning ability by raising the interest and concern of students in the activities after reading because the multimedia elements, instead of existing text, were added to the expression.

Study subjects were 20 4-year old children at D Child-care Center in Anyang City, Gyeonggi-do. The experiment group conducted storytelling-used drawing activities, whereas the control group carried out drawing activities after viewing famous paintings and hearing fairy tales. Study findings are as follows: First, young children in the experiment group who carried out storytelling-used drawing activities presented significantly higher improvement in creativity than children in the control group did. Regarding the sub-variables of creativity, the score of the experiment group was higher in sensitivity, originality and flexibility than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant. Second, young children in the experiment group who carried out storytelling-used drawing activities presented significantly higher improvement in linguistic expressiveness than children in the control group did. Regarding the sub-variables of linguistic expressiveness, the score of the experiment group was higher in the area of 'story development after seeing paintings' and 'connected story development after seeing paintings' than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant. In conclusion, the significance of this study seems to be in that it verified storytelling-used drawing activities have positive effects on young children's improvement of creativity and linguistic expressiveness, and confirmed storytelling-used drawing activities are an effective technique to improve young children's creativity and linguistic expressiveness.
Interactive Media Art has been developed a lot in digital age. Especially, the audience try to make interactions by accessing the world of art as one of main interacting figures, while they used to be totally separated from the art in traditional art. Also, it is one of exclusive features distinguished from the other art genres. In this thesis, the intercommunication process of interactive media art is classified and compared with Merleau-Ponty's corporeity phenomenology theories. Merleau-Ponty's corporeity phenomenology insists integrated perception through body against the western intelligence philosophy focusing on binomial reasons. Merleau-Ponty's corporeity phenomenology, which suggested the new perception way towards the art, is analyzed in this thesis by comparing it with detailed factors of Intercommunication process of Interactive Media Art. The Intercommunication process of Media Art is classified into , , , , . Additionally, they are studied and compared with the concept of , , , , out of Ponty's corporeity phenomenology theories. Therefore, it is concluded clearly that corporeity, synesthesia, poly sensation and spaciality drawn from Intercommunication process of Media Art have something in common with Ponty's corporeity phenomenology theories rather than the other art genre or minimalism art styles. Furthermore, a new direction of study upon modern Interactive Media Art is suggested.
This study investigated how people who became blind midway through life used music and how these uses differed according to individual factors. Sixty-one late-blind adults aged 40 to 60 years attending six welfare centers for the blind in Seoul and Gyeonggi region participated in this research. Participants were asked to complete a 25-question survey in Braille on music utilization and preference, as well as the purpose of music utilization. The response rate was 87.1%. The results were as follows. First, with regard to listening preference, they reported preferring to listen to upbeat popular music on the radio when resting at home. They liked to sing along to lyrics reminiscent of personal memories. String instruments were preferred when playing an instrument. With regard to the reason for using music, inducing mood change was found to be the biggest reason, followed by seeking enjoyment, comfort, sense of achievement, and sense of belonging. Third, for people with adventitious visual impairments, individual factors, such as gender, level of disability, and period without eyesight, did not reveal any significant differences. Last, participants were found to obtain a higher sense of belonging through music compared to those having low vision. Regarding time without eyesight, it appeared that the shorter the period, the higher the sense of belonging participants had from utilizing music, and vice versa. This study provides fundamental information for organizing an effective music program that can meet the needs and demands of people with adventitious visual impairments.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between self-perceived benefits from singing and the quality of life of older adults aged 75 years and older. A total of 231 older adults participated in this study with 141 of them living alone and 90 of them living with others. Each participant was instructed to complete the investigator-constructed questionnaire and the Quality of Life scale. The questionnaire consisted of 49 items on demographic information, involvement in leisure activities and singing-related experiences, and perceived benefits from singing. The results showed that the amount of involvement in leisure activities and the measured quality of life were found to differ between the two subgroups of older adults living with and without others. The number of older adults who had singing-related experiences was also differed between the groups. A positive correlation was found between the amount of self-perceived benefit from singing and quality of life. These results indicate that self-perceived benefits from singing could be an important factor for the quality of life of older adults. This study supports the potential benefits of incorporating singing as an active leisure activity into interventions for older adults, expanding the research that has been extensively based on listening-based interventions. Also, it presents clinical implications for how singing interventions and programs could be designed and suggested to support this population to better cope with their life issues and enhance the quality of life.
