According to Norman McLaren, a Canadian animator, "Animation is not art of moving pictures but art of drawn motions". As he puts it, animation performs the role of magic that turns static to dynamic. Particularly, the space of animation, which is generated through merger of several layers, creates distinctive space that is not to be found in other art genres. Also, the motion of animation, which, unlike live action in film, can be limitlessly created according to a director's subjective domain, has a more autonomous existence. In this paper, I study the space and motion in animation grounded in a director's subjective domain, based on the works by Tabaimo, the Japanese animator director and modern artist. She made an independent use of color sense and perspective that maximized a flat surface, which contributed to creating a new world that doesn't exist in reality. Motion created in such a space is more relative than universal. Therefore, Tabaimo's animation has made aggressive use of a device that gives more originality to the director's themed world, while audience can participate in the strange but new world.

This study investigated how appropriate the classification methods based on conventional spectral characteristics are for high resolution imagery. A supervised classification mixing parametric and non-parametric rules, a method in which fuzzy theory is applied to such classification, and an unsupervised method were performed and compared to each other for accuracy. In addition, comparing the result screen-digitized through interpretation to the classification result using spectral characteristics, this study analyzed the conformity of both methods. Although the supervised classification to which fuzzy theory was applied showed the best performance, the application of conventional classification techniques to high resolution imagery had some limitations due to there being too much information unnecessary to classification, shadows, and a lack of spectral information. Consequently, more advanced techniques including integration with other advanced remote sensing technologies, such as lidar, and application of filtering or template techniques, are required to classify land cover/use or to extract useful information from high resolution imagery.

With the help of computer graphics technologies, the visual effects techniques using these technologies replaced most of special effects techniques which had been used for early films. For these changes, directors and visual effects creators make an effect in a scene through their mutual agreement in contemporary films. However, they undergo a lot of trial-and-error while making a visual effects scene because they cannot perfectly communicate their ideas due to the director's narrative language, and also because of the visual effect creator's language of computer graphics technology. This research suggests the design of a visual effects data retrieval system for efficient communication between directors and visual effects creators. This application provides the means to search a database analyzing visual effects scenes extracted from 14 remarkable movies in visual effect history by narrative and visual effects technique. They can search visual effects scenes using this application. also, this data can foster communication with directors and creators so they can make an efficient production pipeline.

Classical film narrative fails to reflect the increasing complexity of modern society. In this era of film narrative crisis Hirokazu Koreeda presents a new solution. The director puts an emphasis on neutral valuation over subject matter rather than empathy of audiences which leads to a biased point of view. Thus Hirokazu Koreeda choose space over story as a critical narrative enabler. Two qualitatively opposite spaces are presented and the boundary space of the two are set as a main background where the valuation over the spaces waves up and down. Audiences who get accustomed to a one-sided value judgement led by storytelling can be neutralized by pendulum movement of valuation. The specific methods of using space as a main tool of value neutralization have changed through the director's filmography. Space had been thoroughly designed through the storyboard in early works. Later the director let audiences experience the spaces to evoke a sense of place.

The purpose of this study is to explore the Canadian Film Director Sophie Deraspe's . Director Sophie Deraspe adapted a Greek Sophocles's novel to the Film in a modern way. For this study, adopt two research methodologies which are 'Author-structuralism' and 'culture studies', and explore traits of esthetics, narrative, subject and context meaning by analyzing . This study concludes that Firstly director Sophie Deraspe is a 'Quebecious writer-director' who represents cultural identity of contemporary Qubec, Secondly, express immigrants in Qubec using Greek Sophocles's novel tragedy as an allegory in narrative, Thirdly, enhances the dramatic effect in esthetics using virtual mise-en-scene as insert, fantasy, SNS, etc. And lastly, can confirm re-territorializing the cultural identity from the distinct characteristics of regional past tradition to the universal hybridity discours in subject. Therefore, Sophie Deraspe's is a work that symbolizes a new trend of 'New Quebec Cinema' in Canada.

In some documentary films, there are interviews, but in some other ones, there aren't any. As for the documentaries with interviews, the director uses talking heads to suggest their own arguments and to have audience agree. It is evident that interviews play a key role since they lead the story of a human-related documentary. Some directors prefer interviews where directors' questions and interviewees' answers are both heard. On the other hand, there a re directors who carry out the story just by using the answers from the interviewees. Then, it becomes crucial that we understand both of these styles and have new perspectives when watching documentary films. Ethics has always been considered one of the most important factors in documentaries and since they are believed to be "true," the influence documentaries have on the society is enormous. However, possibilities of exaggerating or manipulating the "truth" always exist. Therefore, it is important for the audience to identify the intentions of the director. As a matter of fact, there have been countless researches being done, but it is difficult to find studies that discuss the ways interviews are used in documentary films. The two different styles mentioned above do have huge differences in terms of directing methods. Thus, taking a look at differences from diverse angles will help us better understand the essentials of documentary films. This study will take examples from the interviews in Michael Moore's (2002), (2007) and observe how the flow of interviews can change when the voice of the director gets involved. There will also be a close examination of interviews in Kim Ilran and Hong Ji Yoo's (2011), and (2005) directed by Jim Butterworth, Aeron Lubarsky, and Lisa Sleeth, as well as Sebastian Junger and Tim Hetherington's (2010). By a careful review, use of dissolve, cross-cutting, and flashback will be analyzed to show how different editing techniques have an impact on subjective views of the director.

The role of venture CEO and their intrinsic capabilities on organizational performance can be determined by the level of resource synchronization initiated by the focal managers. Despite the important role of venture CEOs, a systematic lack of in-depth theoretical and empirical studies on ruminating the relationship between the effects of a CEO's capabilities and organizational performance depending on the level of resource synchronization exist for the rationale of investigation. To supplement the limitations of previous studies, this research empirically analyzes the role of managers specifically synchronizing organizational resources that affect organizational performance in the professional sports industry. Based on the entrepreneurship theory and resource-based view (RBV), this research conceptualizes the roles of venture CEO and basketball head coach in the professional sports industry as very similar in terms of organizational structure and performance mechanism embedding entrepreneurial characteristics necessary for managing organizational resources. In this research, we hypothesized (1) organizational resource synchronization will mediate the positive relationship between the ability of professional basketball head coach and organizational performance and (2) the indirect effect of the professional basketball head coach's capabilities on organizational performance mediated by resource synchronization will be moderated by the capabilities of players. To test these hypotheses, we utilized the PROCESS macro model 58 with the empirical data of 9 seasons (2013~2014-2021~2022) of 30 National Basketball Association (NBA) and 10 Korean Basketball League (KBL) teams. The statistical results showed that (1) resource synchronization mediates the positive relationship between professional basketball head coach capabilities and organizational performance and (2) the capabilities of players moderated the indirect effects of the abilities of head coaches on team performance via resource synchronization. This paper contributes to both academic and practical domains of entrepreneurship by empirically testing the research model through objective professional sports data.

최근 들어 인터넷사업자들이 웹상에서 제공하는 새로운 서비스가 각국의 개인정보보호 법제에 저촉되는 사례가 늘고 있다 인터넷사업자들이 국경을 넘어 정보를 수집하고 이를 가공처리, 저장하는 과정에서 본인의 동의를 얻지 않거나 개인정보를 익명처리하지 않은 것이 주로 문제가 되고 있다. 본고는 국제적으로 서비스를 하고 있는 대형 인터넷사업자가 프라이버시 침해 혐의를 받고 있는 사례를 알아보고, 무엇이 문제가 되는지 쟁점을 검토하였다. 특히 현지 감독당국이 글로벌 인터넷사업자의 위법사실을 적발하였더라도 해당 사업자가 대리인이나 분신 도구를 통하여 행동한 사실이 없으면 본사에 제게를 가할 수 없는 실정이다. 사이버공간에서는 실제 위반행위자가 없더라도 중대한 개인정보를 침해하는 결과를 가져온다면 영화 <아바타>에서와 같은 해결방법을 모색해볼 수 있다. 아바타는 독자적인 사고나 판단능력이 전혀 없지만, 나비족이 사는 낙원이 지구인에 의하여 파괴될 수 있는 상황에서 아바타와 이를 조종하는 사람들이 한 몸이 되어 나비족과 힘을 합쳐 아름다운 낙원을 지켜낸다. 즉, 인터넷사업자가 국내 실재하지 않더라도 그의 활동결과로 볼 수 있는 침해행위가 발생하고, 그 결과 회복할 수 없는 피해가 발생할 우려가 있으며, 본인과 아바타를 한 몸으로 볼 수 있다면 아바타를 통해 위법행위를 저지른 본사의 책임자를 처벌할 수 있어야 한다. 만일 그 책임자를 특정할 수 없더라도 그의 감독책임이 있는 본사 법인에 책임을 물을 수 있다고 본다. 만일 법원에서 이러한 '아바타 이론'을 수용한다면 국내에서도 외국 본사에 벌금을 과하는 등 처벌이 가능할 것이다. 다만, 해당 인터넷사업자의 반발도 만만치 않을 것이므로 주요국 개인정보 감독기구는 수사정보를 교환하는 등 국제적으로 긴밀한 협조체제를 갖출 필요가 있다.

배경 및 목적: 이 연구의 목적은 OECD "더 나은 삶의 지수 2015"에서 34개 국가 중 29위로 평가된 한국인의 주관적 건강(subjective well-being)과 치료적 지지(therapeutic support) 관계에서 장소애착(place attachment)의 매개 효과를 탐색하였다. 방법: 비확률 표본추출 방법을 사용하여 서울 시민들 중 헬스클럽 이용자를 대상으로 설문지 조사를 실시하였으며, 구조방정식 모형분석을 통해 가설을 검증하였다. 결과: 분석 결과 치료적 감독(therapeutic oversight )만이 주관적 건강에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다(B = .281, p < .05). 장소애착의 매개효과를 통해서 검증한 결과 치료적 감독 뿐만 아니라 치료적 증언(therapeutic testimonial)에 대해서도 유의하게 검증되었다(치료적 감독 간접 효과 = .155, p < .05, 치료적 증언 간접 효과 = .175, p < .05). 결론: 연구결과 주관적 건강에 영향을 미치는 것으로 장소애착의 매개효과가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 서로를 돌보며 회원들 간의 업적을 축하 할 수 있는 장소를 기반으로 한 건강 프로그램을 실행한다면 사회 구성원들의 주관적 건강 향상에 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

I analysis Alfonso Cuaron's comparing it with Charles Dickens' the original novel and David Lean's . In order to evaluate film which is based on classic novel, formal difference between film and novel, people's preference in those days and director's interpretations should be considered besides how the film follow the original novel faithfully. Regarding to these valuation basis, David Lean's film is true to the original novel and same time successful to add director's interpretation by using Mise en secne in it. Alfonso Cuaron is also succeed in filming well-made, people-like work by modifying the original novel with the convention of melo-drama genre and by using modern film form without breaking Hollywood classic film grammar.
