This study presents literature research on solitude and mental health in psychology as one of the problems in modern society. Solitude has been understood as a psychologically diverse concept. In psychology, solitude has been understood in a variety of ways: as a pathological phenomenon, a source of conflict in childhood, an expression of maladjustment, and a factor influencing current experiences. Solitude is an objective state of being alone without social interaction, while loneliness and privacy are subjective concepts, with loneliness indicating a need for the presence of others. On the contrary, the religious solitary is a solitary being before God. Isolation and sensory restriction, which humans voluntarily choose, is a cure for loneliness. Also, solitude is associated with positive well-being and healthy adaptability. Humans need to have inner freedom by turning loneliness into solitude. This suggests that loneliness can be overcome through solitude, and that positive thinking can overcome negativity, loneliness, and depression.

The purpose of this study was to investigate biologists' brain activation patterns during the generation of scientific questions on biological phenomena. Eight right-handed healthy biologists volunteered to be participants in the present study. The question-generation tasks were presented in a block design. The BOLD signals of the biologists' brain were measured by 3.0T fMRI system and data were analyzed using Statistical Parametric Mapping (SPM2). According to our results, the left inferior and middle frontal gyri, the medial prefrontal cortex, the bilateral hippocampus, the occipito-parietal route, the fusiform gyrus, and the cerebellum were activated significantly during the generation of scientific questions. Therefore, we suggested that generating scientific question is associated with analyzing observed situations, using verbal strategy, retrieving episodic memories for comparisons, and feeling cognitive conflicts.
This case used MI techniques that give an imagery experience to depressed client's mental resource, and that makes in to verbalism. Also those images are supportive level therapy examples that apply to positive variation. MI is simple word of 'Music and Imagery' with one of psychology cure called GIM(Guided Imagery and Music). It makes client can through to the inner world and search, confront, discern and solve with suitable music. Supportive Level MI is only used from safety level music. Introduction of private session can associate specification feeling, subject, word or image. And those images are guide to positive experience. The First session step of MI program is a prelude that makes concrete goal like first interview. The Second step is a transition that can concretely express about client's story. The third step is induction and music listening. And it helps to associate imagery more easily by used tension relaxation. Also it can search and associate about various imagery from the music. The last step is process that process drawing imagery, talking about personal imagery experience in common with therapist that bring the power by expansion the positive experience. Client A case targets rapport forming(empathy, understanding and support), searching positive recourse(child hood, family), client's emotion and positive support. Music must be used simple tone, repetition melody, steady rhythm and organized by harmony music of what therapist and client's preference. The client used defense mechanism and couldn't control emotion by depression in 1 & 2 sessions. But the result was client A could experience about support and understanding after 3 sessions. After session 4 the client had stable, changed to positive emotion from the negative emotion and found her spontaneous. Therefore, at the session 6, the client recognized that she will have step of positive time at the future. About client B, she established rapport forming(empathy, understanding and support) and searching issues and positive recognition(child hood, family), expression and insight(present, future). The music was comfortable, organizational at the session 1 & 2, but after session 3, its development was getting bigger and the main melody changed variation with high and low of tune. Also it used the classic and romantic music. The client avoids bad personal relations to religious relationship. But at the session 1 & 2, client had supportive experience and empathy because of her favorite, supportive music. After session 3, client B recognized and face to face the present issue. But she had avoidance and face to face of ambivalence. The client B had a experience about emotion change according depression and face to face client's issues After session 4. At the session 5 & 6, client tried to have will power of healthy life and fairly attitude, train mental power and solution attitude in the future. On this wise, MI program had actuality and clients' issues solution more than GIM program. MI can solute the issue by client's based issue without approach to unconsciousness like GIM. Especially it can use variety music and listening time is shorter than GIM and structuralize. Also can express client's emotion very well. So it can use corrective and complement MI program to children, adolescent and adult.
Nursing students experience ethical conflicts that lead to moral distress and moral sensitivity in clinical practice. Most nursing students have some difficulty in speaking up when faced with morally challenging situations. Hence, increasing moral courage of these students is important to improve the quality of practice, and carry out nursing responsibilities. However, research on the moral distress, moral sensitivity, and moral courage of nursing students has not been reported in South Korea. The purposes of this study were to (a) identify the levels of moral distress, moral sensitivity, and moral courage of nursing students and (b) examine the influence of moral distress and moral sensitivity on moral courage. Data were collected through a survey using self-reported questionnaires sent to senior nursing students at two nursing colleges in Seoul and Gyeonggido. A total of 138 senior nursing students participated in the survey. The data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 23 program by Pearson's correlation coefficients and multiple regression analysis. The mean scores of the moral distress thermometer, moral distress, moral sensitivity, and moral courage were $3.53{\pm}2.18$, $57.33{\pm}43.35$, $134.98{\pm}13.98$, and $56.33{\pm}12.75$, respectively. The significant factors influencing moral courage were the moral distress thermometer and patient-centered nursing, which was a subcomponent of moral sensitivity. The explanatory power of the model was 5%. This study confirms that nursing students, like nurses, experience moral distress. It is therefore important to create organizational environments that support the moral courage of nursing students.
Vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR) is a compensatory response of the extraocular muscles generated by vestibular signals to stabilize images on the retina during head/body movements. It has been reported that mismatches between retinal and vestibular information, which cause motion sickness or cybersickness, modify VOR. To investigate the characteristic changes of VOR in subjects experiencing cybersickness, we developed a low-cost, multi-purpose VOR measurement system using LabVIEW and Arduino. To test the applicability of the system, we performed two experiments. In Experiment 1, horizontal and vertical VORs of four participants were measured using a vestibular autorotation task. In Experiment 2, eight participants were exposed to a virtual navigation to measure changes of VORs as an index of cybersickness. We observed significantly greater head rotations and eye movements while the participants were exposed to the virtual navigation than to a static image. The results suggest that the present system can help understand the psychophysiological mechanisms of cybersickness symptoms.

The purpose of this study is to develop an inquiry-based argumentation task for use in science teachers' professional development by providing them with the substantial experience of argumentation. To do so, the study has developed an argumentation task by utilizing the experiment on the Charles' Law of gas and revised by applying to eight teachers three times. We have revised the questions by analyzing three issues that have been revealed throughout this process in ways that facilitated teachers' argumentation. The effects of revision have been confirmed by the improvements in teachers' argumentation pattern. Three issues have been identified in developing argumentation tasks for science teachers' professional development and they are as follows: determining the openness of the structure of a question, achieving cognitive conflict and convergence of opinions at the same time, and ways of utilizing various evidence. As the task has been revised in ways that enabled scientific approach to the inquiry topic and facilitated the convergence of various opinions, the participants' argumentation patterns have improved both quantitatively and qualitatively. Meanwhile, the inclusion of an actual experiment has not influence their argumentation, while the observation of experimental data has been used as the core evidence according to the character of the problem. Based on the study's result, we suggest practical implications for developing argumentation tasks for science teachers in more varying contexts.

Objectives : This study was intended to compare coping style, family support, and parenting behavior between adolescent groups with different levels of perceived stress. Methods : A total of 795 high school students participated in this study. First, they were tested on the Perceived Stress Scale and then were separated into two groups depending on the level of perceived stress. Both groups completed the Scale for the Coping Style, the Family Environment Scale (relationship subscale) and Parenting Behavior Inventory. Results : The high stress group had significantly higher scores on all their coping scores than the low stress group. Also, the high stress group had significantly higher family conflict scores, lower family cohesiveness scores and lower expression scores than the low stress group. The high stress group experienced negative parenting behavior from both parents more often than the low stress group. In the adolescents with low family cohesiveness and expression, the use of active behavioral coping was decreased, if the higher stressful events occurred. The use of avoidant coping by these adolescents increased when there were higher levels of stress in their environment. Conclusion : Low family support directly reduced the usage of active behavioral coping and increased the use of avoidant coping strategy through the mediation of high stress condition.
In this study, we analyzed the written and drawn explanations of thirty elementary school pre-service teachers in order to examine their perception on the seasonal length of day and night. The main findings are as follows: First, pre-service teachers used the most common term in the description of the texts, such as meridian altitude, axis of rotation, and revolution, and there were more misconceptions in the drawn explanation than in the written explanation. Second, by analyzing the pre-service teachers' perceptions by combining written and drawn explanations, it is possible to detect scientific errors that the distance between the Earth and the Sun is closer when the axis of rotation is tilted in relation to the revolution and seasonal changes due to changes in the orbital radius of the Earth. In addition, there have been types of explanations such as seasonally changing meridian altitudes related to the rotation of the Earth but no change in the location of the Sun. Based on the results of the analysis, we discussed the lack of experience in constructing an explanatory system of specific phenomena using scientific knowledge, lack of observational experiences about natural phenomena, and lack of exposure to other explanatory systems that cause cognitive conflicts. We hope that it will be concrete and practical help to improve the understanding of pre-service teachers in the science domain of primary teacher training program.

In this study, we categorized the subjective recognition of 20's young generation about virtual currency into a few meaningful types and analyzed the characteristics of each type using the Qmethodology. For the Qpopulation, we selected a total of 337 samples which were derived from the Internet search, in-depth interviews, and literature survey, chose the final 51 Qstatements, and performed the Q-classification for the 40 P samples of 20's, including university students. Then, we analyzed the results using the PC-QUANL program. From the analysis, we found meaningful differences between each recognition type, and, after classifying the recognition types into four, we named each of them as 'investment-vehicle' type, 'future-technology' type, 'kind of gambling-like plays' type, and 'foamy faddishness' type. We hope that this research result can contribute to follow-up research and social discussion as base materials.
Recently, alarmed by the frequent international terrorism or safety accidents, the host countries of world sports events are focusing on security activities for the sake of the participants, facilities, events and competitions. They are alarmed because in case any happenings like international terrorism or safety accident, the contest itself can be criticized to be a failure as much as the international reliability of the host nation may well crash. We can see that any failure in coping with terrorism or safety matters can lead to a nation-wise crisis in the case of Indonesia where the October 12th of 2002 terrorist bomb attack in Bali damaged the image of the nation followed by the similar case in Philippine (Oct. 20th, 2002) where the same terrorist attack dramatically scared away the tourists to the nation. Korea is scheduled to hold the World Championship in Athletics in Daegu Metropolitan City in 2011. Also, it is slated to host various world sports events such as Yeosu International Exposition and Incheon Asian Games. In these contexts, this study analyzes counter-terrorism cases related with the recent international sports events that have been organized in a variety of manners in the era of globalization. This study aims to show alternatives for the safety management in these events. In other words, it is focusing on giving directions to the safety policies of the nation -which may become the future hub of north-east Asia and the world - for more perfect guard and defense, and counter-terrorism activities in all the conferences, sports events and international festivals where any private defense and guard companies are allowed to cooperate with the police force or public security agencies.
