A Study on The Effect of Perceived Value and Innovation Resistance Factors on Adoption Intention of Artificial Intelligence Platform: Focused on Drug Discovery Fields (인공지능(AI) 플랫폼의 지각된 가치 및 혁신저항 요인이 수용의도에 미치는 영향: 신약 연구 분야를 중심으로)

  • The pharmaceutical industry is experiencing a productivity crisis with a low probability of success despite a long period of time and enormous cost. As a strategy to solve the productivity crisis, the use cases of Artificial Intelligence(AI) and Bigdata are increasing worldwide and tangible results are coming out. However, domestic pharmaceutical companies are taking a wait-and-see attitude to adopt AI platform for drug research. This study proposed a research model that combines the Value-based Adoption Model and the Innovation Resistance Model to empirically study the effect of value perception and resistance factors on adopting AI Platform. As a result of empirical verification, usefulness, knowledge richness, complexity, and algorithmic opacity were found to have a significant effect on perceived values. And, usefulness, knowledge richness, algorithmic opacity, trialability, technology support infrastructure were found to have a significant effect on the innovation resistance.

  • Unlike existing social platforms that seek openness, an audio-based social platform is characterized by its limitations. This study uses the Value-Based Acceptance Model(VAM) to analyze the role that such limitations play in the user's acceptance of audio-based social media. In this study, restrictive properties are defined as access-limitation, communication-limitation, and content-limitation. This study aims to analyze the effect of each variable on the perceived value and usage of audio-based social media. The hypothesis test was conducted based on the survey responses total of 207 users and potential users. The results was analyzed that three limiting variables affect perceived benefit factors, usefulness and playfulness, and the user's acceptance intention. This study is significant in that it presents a model based on the VAM and provides guidance for new forms of social media growth.

고령자들이 웰스테크(디지털 자산관리) 자문·일임서비스 사용의도에 영향을 미치는 특성 및 요인에 대한 연구

  • 최근 고령화로 인한 수명연장은 노후생활비용 부담의 가중을 통해 고령자들의 노후파산 가능성을 높이는 핵심 위협요인이 되고 있기 때문에 이를 위한 사적자산의 안정적, 장기적인 관리와 증식이 필수적이다. 자산관리 자문/일임 서비스를 이용하는 것은 이를 해결할 수 있는 좋은 대안이지만 과거에는 서비스 이용가능 대상이 대형 금융기관을 거래하는 거액자산가들로 국한되어 있었다. 그런데 최근 기술혁신과 더불어 플랫폼을 기반으로 하는 웰스테크(디지털 자산관리) 서비스가 빠른 속도로 대중화되고 있어, 이를 활용하면 보다 많은 고령자들이 자산관리에 대한 부담을 경감할 수 있을 것으로 예상된다. 본 연구에서는 이런 이유로 최근 주목받는 웰스테크(디지털 자산관리) 자문/일임 서비스에 대한 고령자들의 사용의도에 영향을 미치는 특성 및 요인들을 파악하고자 한다. 이를 위해 기술수용이론 중 소비자가 얻는 혜택과 희생을 모두 고려하는 '가치기반수용모델(Value Based Model)'을 기본 모형으로 하되 웰스테크(디지털 자산관리) 자문/일임서비스의 특성을 고려하여 '가격효용성'을 혜택 요인에 추가하였다. 또한 고령자의 특성을 고려하여 희생 요인에 '인지된 위험'을, 별도의 요인으로 '사회적 영향'을 각각 추가하였다. 예상되는 연구결과로는 지각된 혜택에 해당하는 유용성, 즐거움, 가격효용성은 모두 인지된 가치에 유의한 (+)의 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상되는 반면, 지각된 희생에 해당하는 기술성과 인지된 위험은 모두 인지된 가치에 유의한 (-)의 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상된다. 또한 추가변수인 사회적 영향은 인지된 가치에 유의한 (+)의 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상된다.

A Study on Intention to Use Personal Cloud Services: Focusing on Value Comparison (개인용 클라우드 서비스 사용 의도 연구: 가치 비교를 중심으로)

  • Cloud computing technology is expanding its services to individual consumers through storage and applications. This study aims to compare the predisposing factors that affect the perceived value and the intention to use between users who have used or experienced services and those who have never experienced services from the perspective of benefit and sacrifice based on the value-based acceptance model. The results showed that the sacrifice factor (perceived cost) had a significant effect on perceived value and perceived value had a significant effect on intention to use, but showed a difference in perceived benefit. Perceived usefulness, ubiquity, and network effects had significant impact for experienced users' perceived value, but for inexperienced users, ubiquity did not have significant impact. In addition, usefulness was the most significant factor for experienced users while network effect was the same for inexperienced users. The results of this study suggest that consumers' intention to use personal cloud service is evaluated as a benefit and sacrifice point and a new attempt to re-examine the role of previous experience.

A Multi-dimensional Structure for User Resistance with the Determinants of Innovative Product Use on Virtual Reality (가상현실 환경에서의 다차원적 혁신저항 구조와 혁신 제품 사용의 결정요소)

  • Motion-sensing interface enhances the sense of reality of user experience in virtual reality context. This study analyzes the innovation resistance and adoption structure for Leap Motion, which provides a motion-sensing function, primarily considering the theory of perceived risk. Previous research regarding innovation resistance and adoption mainly addressed the resultant aspects of perceived risk, or the impact of perceived value on the adoption intention. This study synthetically reviews previous studies from a multi-dimensional view considering both resistance- and adoption-perspective. To do so, we identified important antecedents that affect perceived risk and value, and we analyzed the compound dynamics of perceived risk and value towards innovation resistance. As a result, we found that the antecedents included in the existent acceptance models from adoption-perspective can help reduce the level of perceived risk, and that higher perceived value leads to lower innovation resistance. Additionally, trialability can rather foster the perceived risk.

A Study on the Determinants of Blockchain-oriented Supply Chain Management (SCM) Services (블록체인 기반 공급사슬관리 서비스 활용의 결정요인 연구)

  • Recently, as competition in the market evolves from the competition among companies to the competition among their supply chains, companies are struggling to enhance their supply chain management (hereinafter SCM). In particular, as blockchain technology with various technical advantages is combined with SCM, a lot of domestic manufacturing and distribution companies are considering the adoption of blockchain-oriented SCM (BOSCM) services today. Thus, it is an important academic topic to examine the factors affecting the use of blockchain-oriented SCM. However, most prior studies on blockchain and SCMs have designed their research models based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) or the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), which are suitable for explaining individual's acceptance of information technology rather than companies'. Under this background, this study presents a novel model of blockchain-oriented SCM acceptance model based on the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework to consider companies as the unit of analysis. In addition, Value-based Adoption Model (VAM) is applied to the research model in order to consider the benefits and the sacrifices caused by a new information system comprehensively. To validate the proposed research model, a survey of 126 companies were collected. Among them, by applying PLS-SEM (Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling) with data of 122 companies, the research model was verified. As a result, 'business innovation', 'tracking and tracing', 'security enhancement' and 'cost' from technology viewpoint are found to significantly affect 'perceived value', which in turn affects 'intention to use blockchain-oriented SCM'. Also, 'organization readiness' is found to affect 'intention to use' with statistical significance. However, it is found that 'complexity' and 'regulation environment' have little impact on 'perceived value' and 'intention to use', respectively. It is expected that the findings of this study contribute to preparing practical and policy alternatives for facilitating blockchain-oriented SCM adoption in Korean firms.

군자리더십측정을 위한 문항개발연구

  • 리더의 리더십이 팀 또는 조직의 효과성에 기여하기 위해서는 리더의 영향력을 구성원들이 수용하고 목표달성을 위해 노력하도록 구성원들을 동기부여시켜야 한다. 그런데, 리더의 영향력을 수용하고 추종하는데 구성원들간에 공유되어 있는 리더에 대한 표상에 리더가 일치하여야 한다. 이상적 리더에 대한 공유된 표상에는 그 사회문화에서 지배적인 가치규범이 중요한 역할을 하게 된다. 본 연구는 이러한 가치의 역할이 중요하다는 인식에 착안하여 한국인의 사고와 행동방식에 지대한 영향을 미쳐온 전통적인 유교적 가치에서 가정하고 있는 이상적인 인간상으로서의 군자를 현대 경영조직상황하에서 리더십의 관점에서 살펴볼 것을 제안한다. 이를 위해 사서(四書)-논어, 맹자, 중용, 대학에서 제시된 군자의 성격 또는 행동적 특징들을 내용분석하여 리더십 구조를 정의내리고 이를 측정할 수 있는 설문문장을 개발하였다. 그 결과, 군자리더십은 자기계발(思學), 인간존중(忠恕), 예절중시(禮), 공정함(義), 사람 관리의 5개 요인구조를 가지고 있음을 발견하였다. 추후 연구에서는 개발된 설문문항의 신뢰성과 타당성을 검증하고, 본 연구에서 개발한 군자리더십이 실제 경영조직에서 경영자의 리더십효과성을 잘 설명해주는 변별력 있는 개념인지 검증하는 노력이 필요하다. 이는 서양의 보편적으로 효과적인 리더십 유형, 예를 들면, 변혁적 리더십 유형과 같은 경쟁모형의 도입을 통해 보다 더욱 생동감 있는 측정이 가능할 것이다. 아울러 유교적 가치와 현대적 가치로 대변되는 합리성에 기반한 서구의 가치가 군자리더십과 어떤 관계를 가지고 있는 지 살펴 볼 필요가 있다.

  • This study utilizes the theoretical framework of Extended Technology Acceptance Model to understand the governmental factors that affect the people's intention to use AI services. With the result of the analysis, as the expected impact of AI on fields related to effectiveness and accountability becomes higher, the intention of using AI service also got higher. In addition, the easier usability of e-government, the more active disclosure of their personal information, and the higher expectations for a hyper-connected society, their intention to use AI services became higher as well.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a comprehensive research model that can explain potential customers' intentions to adopt and use VPA(Virtual Personal Assistants) devices. This study proposes and validates a new theoretical model that extends the perceived value theory. Partial least squares analysis is employed to test the research model and corresponding hypotheses on data collected from 313 survey samples. Perceived value, perceived usefulness, perceived enjoyment are important factors affecting the adoption of VPA devices. To increase potential users' intention to use, VPA device manufacturers should not only focus on developing utilitarian functions but also fun features based on open development echo-system. This study is the important empirical attempt to examine user acceptance of VPA devices, as most of the prior literature has concerned analysis of usage patterns or technical features.

Factors Affecting Adoption Intention of Autonomous Vehicle (자율주행 자동차 사용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • This study is an empirical analysis regarding what kind of factors affect the intention to use autonomous vehicles. For the empirical analysis the research model was derived from value-based adoption model base and integrated some aspects that only autonomous vehicles have. At default variables of VAM are usefulness, enjoyment, technicality, perceived cost, some autonomous vehicle related variables were added, and those are convenience, safety, security, social influence. A survey was done in order to empirically analyze with this research model, and 216 valid survey answers were chosen to analyze. Empirical analysis was done by structural equation using AMOS24. The result of empirical analysis were as follows. Variables usefulness, enjoyment, safety, security had a significant positive effect on perceived value. Technicality and perceived cost had a significant negative effect of perceived value. In addition, security and social influence had no significant effect on perceived value. Furthermore, perceived value had significant positive effect on intention to use. Among the variables that came out to be significantly positive, the most influencing variable was safety, followed by convenience, perceived cost, enjoyment, usefulness and then technicality. In addition, the analysis of mediating effect of perceived value shows that usefulness, enjoyment, convenience, safety, technicality, perceived cost had mediating role towards intention to use. However, security and social influence had no siginificant mediating effect towards intention to use. Considering all these research results this study has provided theoretical and practical implications to researchers on the intention to use autonomous vehicles.
