  • This study compares the educational effect using real equipment, virtual reality, and video to improve the educational and training effect of the army and verifies which method of education is excellent. The Army has made a lot of efforts to realize the actual training environment, however, it is increasingly difficult to provide the actual training environment because of 1) restrictions on securing training sites and urbanization, 2) deepening conflicts with the people, and 3) difficulties in acquiring defense budget. To resolve these issues, the use of virtual reality(VR) has the advantage to experience actual battlefield indirectly and could save budget by training in a virtual battlefield environment. In particular, in the case of dangerous or expensive weapons systems, is further required. Hence this paper studies how effective virtual reality is compared to the actual weapons system. virtual reality(VR) education is less effective than actual equipment education, but it is higher than video education. Based on this research result, it will be used as a basic data for the analysis of educational effects based in virtual reality(VR).

  • In order to be able to interact with the user to experience it as if it were real in virtual reality contents, input/output devices that make them feel the five senses of humans are required . In virtual reality (VR), devices that stimulate sight and hearing are the most representative. For a more realistic experience, suits and gloves that stimulate the sense of touch have recently been released, but there are not many cases applied to actual contents due to the limitation of device . In this paper, we analyze a virtual reality glove that can detect hand movement and touch in a virtual world. Based on the analysis, we propose an algorithm that can sense the intensity of collision with a VR object by tactile sense by improving the UI/UX using the vibration of the feedback method used in the existing virtual reality glove. In addition, the system implemented by the algorithm is applied to an actual case.

  • Participants in the virtual environment will have an immersive and memorable perceived experience through interacting with virtual objects. Recently, commercial virtual reality technologies have released simple and cost-effective smartphone-based head-mounted displays (HMD) and high-quality wide field-of-view (FOV) HMDs. However, due to the vergence-accommodation conflict structure of HMD and the learned cognition mechanism in real, side effects such as dizziness and nausea remain challenging to overcome. This study focuses on consistent size perception among various cognitive difference factors, which are essential for interaction with virtual objects. We verified whether the visual angle, which affects the size perception of an object in real, is also the main factor in the virtual environment. Our experiments derived the relation between the visual angle and the environmental components, shadow, and grid, which help perceive a virtual object. As a result of the regression analysis, we presented that in the small FOV HMD environment, the visual angle affects size perception, and the relation between the shadow and the grid is statistically significant.

  • The outbreak of the Covid 19 increased the interest on the 'Virtual Tourism. In this research the key word related to "Virtual Tourism" was collected through the search engine and was analyzed through the data mining method such as Log-odds ratio, Frequency, and network analysis. It is clear that the information and communication dependency increased in the field of "Virtual Tourism" after Covid 19 and also the trend have changed from "securement of the contents diversity" to "project related to economic recovery." Since the demands for the "Virtual Reality" such as metaverse is increasing, there should be an economic and circular structure in which the government establishing a related policy and the funding plan based on the research, local government and the private companies planning and producing discriminate contents focusing on AISAS(Attension, Interest, Search, Action, Share) aand the research institutions and universities developing, applying, assessing and commercializing the technology.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine how the characteristics of virtual influencer, which are rapidly emerging in recent years, affect consumers. To this end, the change in information accecptance intention was examined using the perceived attractiveness and social distance of consumers toward virtual influencers as independent variables. I found the more attractive consumers feel about virtual influencer and the closer they perceive social distance, the higher the intention to accept information. However, when virtual influencer was perceived as attractive, there was no difference in information acceptance intention according to social distance. On the other side, even if the virtual influencer was perceived as less attractive, the information acceptance intention was higher when the social distance was perceived as close than when it was not. Based on these results, I provided implications for the marketing strategy of virtual influencers.

  • It has been known that the tool characteristics embedded in physical tools and virtual tools act with different underlying mechanisms in a user's knowledge acquisition and conceptual understanding. This overview study examines the learning process through the use of physical and virtual tools from the perspective of conceptual frameworks, affordability that tools present, and the depth of cognitive engagement that occurs in the process of learning concepts through various learning activities. Based on the conceptual frameworks, the results of previous comparative studies were reinterpreted. It was found that what mattered for learning is the amount of new information that a tool provides and the different level of cognitive engagement that students use through various learning activities. Finally, the implications to be considered when teachers use physical and virtual tools to help students better understand various concepts are discussed.

  • Recently, VR/AR(virtual reality/augmented reality) contents have actively increased, and various services related to VR/AR allow users to experience remote places. Also, Metaverse technologies based on VR/AR generally used to provide content in virtual spaces. In this paper, we present a technique for synthesizing virtual humans after capturing a 360-degree panorama of a remote environment, and analyze the remote environment to identify the location where it can be captured without error, and apply a method of synthesizing virtual humans. According to this paper, it is possible to provide various captured spaces such as industrial plants, medical facilities, and schools as remote communication media.

  • In The increasing use of computers and high-speed Internet network has greatly influenced education, causing a veering away from the typical and traditional way of delivering instruction. Specifically, the various kinds of Web-based multimedia technology, the interactive activities on the Internet, and satellite broadcasting technology are accelerating the emergence of a virtual-lectures-based educational model, which transcends time and space. Such virtual lectures make it possible for the entire teaching-learning process to be done in a virtual learning environment, thus giving rise to problem regarding learning guidance, feedback, and appraisal. In this paper, we propose a system for attendance appraisal for learner participation degree based virtual lecture, an appraisal element in virtual learning environments. This appraisal model can set the elements of virtual learning environments in such a way as to reflect in the attendance appraisal of the opened virtual learning environment information regarding the learner's participation in class. In addition, this model motivates the learners to actively participate in the virtual learning environment and to support instructors by accomplishing the activities that are needed for attendance appraisal.

  • Backed by the fourth industrial revolution as the background of the research, VR, AR and MR have increased interest and wireless Oculus Quest is releasing, creating hardware recall and continuing virtual reality devices, and game software develop or service VR games using such devices. As a result, it is expected that VR game markets will continue to grow in the future. For this purpose, we understand the technical factors of presence and immersion that appear in virtual reality games and should be able to apply them when we produce VR games. Through the process, we analyzed elements of VR game concept, immersion, and presence and analyzed three games that were commercialized. As a suggestion, we need to take into account presence and immersion characteristics when developing and experiencing virtual reality games in the future.

  • With the growth of blockchain and cryptocurrency-related markets, cryptocurrency exchanges are growing as a new industry. However, as the legal and regulatory definitions of cryptocurrencies are still in progress, unlike existing industrial groups, they are not under the supervision of regulatory agencies. As a result, users (i.e., cryptocurrency investors) have suffered two types of damage that could occur from hacking and other accidents on the exchanges. One type of the damage is the loss of assets caused by the extortion of personal information or account and the other is the damage from users who might be involved in external frauds. Both are analyzed in comparison with existing operators whose functions are like the exchanges. The results of this study show that membership (KYC: Know Your Client), log-in, and additional authentication in transactions are on the similar level to those of the operators while the fraud detection system (FDS) and anti-money laundering (AML) of fiat currencies and cryptocurrencies need rapid improvement.
