The interaction of chemoattractant receptors and $G{\alpha}_{16}$ was studied to provide the molecular basis to elucidate the interaction of chemoattractant receptors with $G{\alpha}_{16}$ subunit, thereby possibly contributing to finding novel targets for designing new type of G protein antagonists with anti-inflammatory effects. Experiments were performed to characterize the $G{\alpha}_{16}$ subunit domains responsible for efficient coupling to chemoattractant receptors. Thus, a series of chimeric $G{\alpha}_{11}G{\alpha}_{16}$ and $G{\alpha}_{16}G{\alpha}_{11}$ cDNA constructs were expressed, and the ability of chimeric proteins to mediate C5a, IL-8, and fMLP-induced release of inositol phosphate in transfected Cos-7 cells was tested. The results showed that short stretches of residues 154 to residue 167 and from residue 174 to residue 195 of $G{\alpha}_{16}$ contribute to efficient coupling to the C5a receptor. On the other hand, a stretch of amino acid residues 220-240 of $G{\alpha}_{16}$ that is necessary for interacting with C5a receptor did not play any role in the interaction with IL-8 receptor. However, a stretch from residue 155 to residue 195 of $G{\alpha}_{16}$ was found to be crucial for efficient coupling to IL-8 receptor in concert with C-terminal 30 amino acid residues of this ${\alpha}$ subunit. Coupling profiles of a variety of chimeras, composed of $G{\alpha}_{11}G{\alpha}_{16}$ to fMLP receptor indicate that the C-terminal 30 amino acids are most critical for the coupling of $G{\alpha}_{16}$ to fMLP receptor. Taken together, $G{\alpha}_{16}$ subunit recruits multiple and distinctive coupling regions, depending on the type of receptors, to interact.

이 논문에서는 CS-Semistratifiable 공간보다 더 일반화된 공간 Cn-Semistratifiable을 정의 하며 그에 따른 여러가지 성질들을 조사하였다. 위상 공간(X, $\tau$)에 대하여 $\alpha$$\times$$\tau$에서 X의 폐집합족으로의 함수 S가 존재하여 다음 조건들을 만족할 때 공간X는 Cn-Semistratifiable over $\alpha$라 정의한다. a) 임의의 개집합 U에 대하여 U=U{S($\beta$, U) : $\beta$<$\alpha$} b) U, V가 X의 개집합이고 U⊂CV이면 모든 $\beta$<$\alpha$에 대하여 S($\beta$, V)⊂S($\beta$, V)이다. c) 만약 ${\gamma}$<$\beta$<$\alpha$ 이라면 임의의 개집합 U에 대하여 S(${\gamma}$, U)⊂S($\beta$, U)이다. d) X의 수렴하는 net $X_{\beta}$$\longrightarrow$X와 X를 품는 임의의 개집합 U에 대하여 적당한 $\beta$<$\alpha$가 존재하여 X$\in$S($\beta$. U)이고 { $X_{\beta}$}는 S($\beta$, U)안에 eventual하게 들어간다. 위의 정의에 의하여 다음과 같은 성질들이 증명되었다. 1 . Strstifiable over $\alpha$$\longrightarrow$cn-semistratifiable over$\longrightarrow$semistratifiable over $\alpha$ 2, 어떤 공간이 cn-Semistratifiable over $\alpha$이기 위한 필요충분 조건은 그것이 linearly cushioned cn-pairnet를 갖는 것이다. 3. cn-semistratifiable over $\alpha$의 부분공간 역시 cn-semistratifiabie over $\alpha$ 하다. 4. on-semistratifiable over $\alpha$의 유한개의 적공간 역시 cn-semistratifiabie over $\alpha$한다. 5. 폐 cn-semistratifiable over $\alpha$ 부분공간들의 합공간 역시 on-semistrbtifiable over $\alpha$ 하다. 6. 폐연속 net-cevering 함수에 의하여 cn-semistratifiable over $\alpha$ 성질이 보존된다.

Bacillus circulans F-2 $\alpha$-amylase에 의한 각종 oligosaccharide의 분해산물을 조사하고, Bacillus circulans F-2 $\alpha$-amylase, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens $\alpha$-amylase, Rhizopus niveus glucoamylase에 의한 각종 생전분의 분해율을 비교 검토한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 공시 oligosaccharide중 Bacillus circuians F-2 $\alpha$-amylase는 maltose와 maltotriose를 분해시키지 못하였으나 meltotetraose이상의 oligosaccharide는 분해시켰다. maltotetraose, maltopentaose, maltoheraose, maltoheptaose, maltooctaose중 maltotetraose의 분해가 가장 미약하였다. 2. soluble starch, amylopectin, amylose, oyster glycogen중 oyster glycogen의 분해율이 약간 낮았다. 3. corn starch의 분해율은 진탕반응이 정치반응보다 높았으나 potato starch에 대하여는 효소의 종류에 따라 일정치 않았다. 4. corn, rice, arrowroot, high amylose corn, banana, sago, yam, potato starch에 대하여 Bacillus circulans F-2 $\alpha$-amylase가 Bacillus amyloquefaciems $\alpha$-amylase, Rhizopus niveus glucoamylase보다 월등하게 높은 분해율을 나타내었다.

The notion of generalized (regular) (${\alpha},\;{\beta}$)-derivations of a BCI-algebra is introduced, some useful examples are discussed, and related properties are investigated. The condition for a generalized (${\alpha},\;{\beta}$)-derivation to be regular is provided. The concepts of a generalized F-invariant (${\alpha},\;{\beta}$)-derivation and ${\alpha}$-ideal are introduced, and their relations are discussed. Moreover, some results on regular generalized (${\alpha},\;{\beta}$)-derivations are proved.

Rhizopus nigricans produces 11.alpha.-hydroxyprogesternoe with a unidentified byproduct, which is hardly separated. Results of chromatography, IR and NMR spectroscopy identified the byproduct to be 11.alpha.-hydroxy-allopregnane-3,20-dione. R. nigricans was found to transform progesternoe into a monoform intermediate, 11.alpha.-hydroxyprogesterone, from which 11.alpha.-hydroxy-allopregnane-3,20-dione and 6.betha., 11.alpha. - dihydroxyprogesterone were formed respectively by 5.alpha.-reduction and 6.betha.-hydroxylation.

In this paper we study the Weyl spectrum of weight $\alpha, \omega_\alpha(T)$, of an operator T acting on an infinite dimensional Hilbert space. Main results are as follows. Firstly, we show that the Weyll spectrum of weight $\alpha$ of a polynomially $\alpha$-compact operator is finite, and that similarity preserves polynomial $\alpha$-compactness and the $\alpha$-Weyl's theorem both. Secondly, we give a sufficient condition for an operator to be the sum of an unitary and a $\alpha$-compact operators.

${\alpha}$,${\alpha}$-Dibromovalerophenone and ${\alpha}$,${\alpha}$-dichlorovalerophenone were prepared and their photochemical behaviors were investigated. The former gives C-Br cleavage products and the latter gives mainly the Yang photocyclization products upon irradiation. The reactivity of the chlorine substituted ketone turned out to be quite different from that of ${\alpha}$,${\alpha}$-difluorovalerophenone which gives both the cyclization and elimination products from the 1,4-biradical intermediate.

In this paper, we present a method for vehicle tracking systems using $\alpha$-$\beta$ filter based on fuzzy logic. The $\alpha$-$\beta$ filter estimates the future target positions using fixed $\alpha$.$\beta$ coefficients. We utilize the fuzzy logic to make $\alpha$ and $\beta$ coefficients very with the position. Comparisons of tracking performance made for three different schemes: the $\alpha$-$\beta$ filter, $\alpha$-$\beta$filter using fuzzy logic, and the kalman filter.

We introduce the concepts of weak smooth ${\alpha}$-closure and weak smooth ${\alpha}$-interior of a fuzzy set and obtain some of their structural properties. We also introduce the concepts of several types of quasi-smooth ${\alpha}$- compactness in terms of the concepts of weak smooth ${\alpha}$-closure and weak smooth ${\alpha}$-interior of a fuzzy set and investigate some of their properties.
