In this paper we study the algebraic structure of ℤ_pℤ_p[u]/k>-cyclic codes, where u^k = 0 and p is a prime. A ℤ_pℤ_p[u]/k>-linear code of length (r + s) is an R_k-submodule of ℤ^r_p × R^s_k with respect to a suitable scalar multiplication, where R_k = ℤ_p[u]/k>. Such a code can also be viewed as an R_k-submodule of ℤ_p[x]/r - 1> × R_k[x]/s - 1>. A new Gray map has been defined on ℤ_p[u]/k>. We have considered two cases for studying the algebraic structure of ℤ_pℤ_p[u]/k>-cyclic codes, and determined the generator polynomials and minimal spanning sets of these codes in both the cases. In the first case, we have considered (r, p) = 1 and (s, p) ≠ 1, and in the second case we consider (r, p) = 1 and (s, p) = 1. We have established the MacWilliams identity for complete weight enumerators of ℤ_pℤ_p[u]/k>-linear codes. Examples have been given to construct ℤ_pℤ_p[u]/k>-cyclic codes, through which we get codes over ℤ_p using the Gray map. Some optimal p-ary codes have been obtained in this way. An example has also been given to illustrate the use of MacWilliams identity.

이 연구는 u-City의 성공적 조성을 위해 u-서비스 공급자 측면과 수요자 측면의 요구를 충족할 수 있는 u-서비스 우선순위 선정에 관한 체계적 연구의 필요성에서 시작되었다. u-서비스 우선순위 모형개발을 위해 선행 연구를 토대로 수요자와 공급자의 서비스 결정 요인을 탐색적으로 도출하고, 전문가와의 브레인스토밍을 통해 u-서비스 결정의 확정적 요인을 도출하였다. 도출된 요인들을 계층분석(AHP)모형으로 설정하고, 1차 전문가 설문조사를 통해 요인별 가중치와 우선순위를 도출함으로써 공급자와 수요자를 고려한 u-서비스 우선순위 선정 모형을 제시하였다. 개발된 모형을 바탕으로 2차 전문가 설문조사를 통해 u-지역정보화에서 제시한 대구지역의 특화서비스를 평가하였다. 평가 결과 대구지역은 지역물류 지원서비스, 시각장애인 길안내 서비스, u-텔레매틱스 서비스가 상위권을 차지한 반면, u-지역정보화에서 제시한 안전방재지원서비스와 산업특화거리 등의 서비스는 중위권을 차지하고 있어 공급자 위주의 u-서비스 선정과는 차별성을 보였다. 개발된 u-서비스 우선순위선정 모형은 u-서비스 제공 및 사용의도에 기반한 모형으로 u-서비스 우선순위 선정을 체계적으로 지원할 수 있어 향후 성공적 u-City 조성에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

이 연구는 U-도서관 서비스의 운영 실태를 조사하여 U-도서관 서비스에 대한 사서들의 인식이 어떤 차이가 있는지를 살펴보고 U-도서관 서비스가 합리적으로 운영되기 위한 개선방안을 제시하는 데 있다. 연구대상은 문화체육관광부의 지원을 받아 U-도서관 서비스를 시행한 전국의 10개 지자체를 선정하여, 사서들의 인구통계학적 요인과 U-도서관 서비스 운영의 차이점인 업무독립성 유무, U-도서관 서비스 운영주체인 사서들의 고용형태 차이에 따라 U-도서관 서비스에 대한 사서들의 인식에 어떤 차이가 있는지를 측정하였다. 이를 위해 통합적 연구방법(설문조사, 방문조사, 전화 인터뷰)을 사용하였다.

The SpoU family of proteins catalyzes the methylation of transfer RNAs (tRNAs) and ribosomal RNAs (rRNAs). We characterized a putative tRNA/rRNA methyltransferase, VaSpoU1 of the SpoU family, from Viscum album (mistletoe). VaSpoU1 and other plant SpoU1s exhibit motifs of the SpoU methylase domain that are conserved with bacterial and yeast SpoU methyltransferases. VaSpoU1 transcripts were detected in the leaves and stems of V. album. VaSpoU1-GFP fusion proteins localized to both chloroplasts and mitochondria in Arabidopsis protoplasts. Sequence analysis similarly predicted that the plant SpoU1 proteins would localize to chloroplasts and mitochondria. Interestingly, mitochondrial localization of VaSpoU1 was inhibited by the deletion of a putative N-terminal presequence in Arabidopsis protoplasts. Therefore, VaSpoU1 may be involved in tRNA and/or rRNA methylation in both chloroplasts and mitochondria.

Based on an expanded mixed finite element method, we consider the semidiscrete approximations of the solution u of the quasilinear pseudo-parabolic equation defined on ${\Omega}{\subset}R^d$, $1{\leq}d{\leq}3$. We construct the semidiscrete approximations of ${\nabla}u$ and $a(u){\nabla}u+b(u){\nabla}u_t$ as well as u and prove the existence of the semidiscrete approximations. And also we prove the optimal convergence of ${\nabla}u$ and $a(u){\nabla}u+b(u){\nabla}u_t$ as well as u in $L^2$ normed space.

In this article, we will study designing city-type U-Booth and summarize designing point of U-Booth in terms of the specific place. At last, we want to say about the role of U-Booth in U-city. We show the existence of the positive solution for the system of the following nonlinear wave equations with Dirichlet boundary conditions $$u_{tt}-u_{xx}+av^+=s{\phi}_{00}+f$$, $$v_{tt}-v_{xx}+bu^+=t{\phi}_{00}+g$$, $$u({\pm}\frac{\pi}{2},t)=v({\pm}\frac{\pi}{2},t)=0$$, where $u_+=max\{u,0\}$, s, $t{\in}R$, ${\phi}_{00}$ is the eigenfunction corresponding to the positive eigenvalue ${\lambda}_{00}=1$ of the eigenvalue problem $u_{tt}-u_{xx}={\lambda}_{mn}u$ with $u({\pm}\frac{\pi}{2},t)=0$, $u(x,t+{\pi})=u(x,t)=u(-x,t)=u(x,-t)$ and f, g are ${\pi}$-periodic, even in x and t and bounded functions in $[-\frac{\pi}{2},\frac{\pi}{2}]{\times}[-\frac{\pi}{2},\frac{\pi}{2}]$ with $\int_{-\frac{\pi}{2}}^{\frac{\pi}{2}}f{\phi}_{00}=\int_{-\frac{\pi}{2}}^{\frac{\pi}{2}}g{\phi}_{00}=0$.

This paper presents some characterizations of the Weibull distribution by the independence of record values. We prove that $X{\sim}Weibull(1,{\alpha})$, ${\alpha}>0$ if and only if $\frac{X_{U(n+1)}}{X_{U(n+1)}-X_{U(n)}}$ and $X_{U(n+1)}$ for $n{\geq}1$ are independent. We show that $X{\sim}Weibull(1,{\alpha})$, ${\alpha}>0$ if and only if $\frac{X_{U(n+1)}}{X_{U(n+1)}-X_{U(n)}}$ and $X_{U(n+1)}$ for $n{\geq}1$ are independent. And we establish that $X{\sim}Weibull(1,{\alpha})$, ${\alpha}>0$ if and only if $\frac{X_{U(n+1)}+X_{U(n)}}{X_{U(n+1)}-X_{U(n)}}$ and $X_{U(n+1)}$ for $n{\geq}1$ are independent.
