비선형 와류격자법을 이용한 작은 종횡비 날개의 고받음각 및 지면효과 후류 특성 분석 (Wake Characteristics of High Angle of Attack and Ground Effect for Low Aspect Ratio Wings using NLVLM)

  • For the analysis of lifting surface at high angle of attack, a Nonlinear Vortex Lattice Method(NLVLM) was used. The NLVLM is intented to compute the interactions between lifting surfaces and separated vertical flow. The lifting surfaces are represented by a lattice of discrete vortex rings. And wakes are represented by families of non-lintersecting, semi-infinite vortex line segments. The image method also used to analyze the ground effect. It is found that vortex lines separated from lifting surfaces represent the separated flows successfully. Although the present method is applied for the rectangular wing and delta wing, extensions can be possible for the arbitrary lifting surfaces. The Present results show good agreement with experimental data.

  • In this paper, we first classify the possible configurations of fibrations which are not semi-stable on extremal elliptic K3 surfaces. Then we give a complete list of extremal elliptic K3 surfaces whose singular fibers are all not of type $I_n$.

  • Effect of boron in GaAs have been investigated by photo induced current transient spectroscopy(PICTS). The starting material was undoped liquid encapsulated Czochralski(LEC) semi insulating GaAs and boron ion implantation at 150keV energy was conducted with dose of 10$\^$12/ and 10$\^$13/ions/cm$\^$2/. In ion implanted samples, the peaks related arsenic vacancy(V$\_$As/) were decreased but complex lattice defect was increased with annealing temperature. U band was observed at ion implanted(10$\^$13/ ions/cm$\^$2/) and thermally treated(550.deg. C) sample. More negative peak was detected after annealing at temperature between 600 and 700.deg. C. The measurement of dark current showed that the formation of B$\_$GA/-V$\_$As/, complex defect and complex lattice defect by ion implantation were a reasonable explanation for the decrease in dark current.

격자구조로 배열된 실린더에 의한 음파감쇠 (Sound Attenuation by Cylinders Arranged in a Lattice)

  • Sound attenuation of periodically arranged cylindrical rods is studied numerically and experimentally. Cross section of the cylinder is circular and arrays are in a square lattice. Cylinders are made of steel, and consist of five groups with different diameters from 27.2 mm to 48 mm. Each group has 5 rows, while number of cylinders in a row varies from 17 to 31. The area filling fraction is about 60~61 %, which leads to the stop bandgap(2.9 kHz ~ 8.4 kHz). Sound attenuation is computed using two-dimensional BEM, and measurement is done by using a speaker and microphones in a semi-anechoic room. Comparison of the results by BEM and experiment shows that attenuation spectra are qualitatively in agreement, although experiment gives higher attenuations than BEM. After results by BEM are scaled up in accordance with cylinder diameter, it is observed that attenuation curves are in good agreement, which confirms that analysis by BEM is done correctly. It is also found that the measured bandgaps are shifted toward lower frequency by 0.5 kHz ~ 1.2 kHz, when compared to the predictions obtained from infinitely repeated two-dimensional cylinder arrays.

Synthesis, Optical and Electrical Studies of Nonlinear Optical Crystal: L-Arginine Semi-oxalate

  • L-Arginine semi-oxalate (LASO) single crystal has been grown by solution growth technique at room temperature. The crystal structure and lattice parameters were determined for the grown crystal by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. Photoluminescence studies confirm the violet fluorescence emission peak at 395 nm. Optical constants like band gap, refractive index, reflectance, extinction coefficient and electric susceptibility were determined from UV-VIS-NIR spectrum. The dielectric constant, dielectric loss and ac conductivity of the compound were calculated at different temperatures and frequencies to analyze the electrical properties. The solid state parameters such as plasma energy, Penn gap, Fermi energy and polarizability were calculated to analyze second harmonic generation (SHG). Nonlinear optical property was discussed to confirm the SHG efficiency of the grown crystal.

SiO2 첨가가 AIN 세라믹스의 고온 비저항에 미치는 영향 (Effects of SiO2 on the High Temperature Resistivities of AIN Ceramics)

  • The effects of $SiO_2$ impurity on the high temperature resistivities of AIN ceramics have been investigated. When $SiO_2$ was added into 1 wt% $Y_2O_3$-doped AIN, DC resistivities have decreased and electrode polarizations disappeared. Impedance spectroscopy showed two semi-circles at $600^{\circ}C$, which were attributed to grain and grain boundary, respectively. $SiO_2$ doping had more significant effects on the grain resistivity than grain boundary resistivity, implying that doped Si acted as a donor in AIN lattice. In addition, voltage dependency of DC resistivity was observed, which might be related to dependency of size of grain boundary semi-circle on the bias voltage in impedance spectroscopy.

A Completion of Semi-simple MV-algebra

  • The notion of MV-algebra was introduced by C.C. Chang in 1958 to provide an algebraic proof of the completeness of Lukasiewicz axioms for infinite valued logic. These algebras appear in the literature under different names: Bricks, Wajsberg algebra, CN-algebra, bounded commutative BCK-algebras, etc. The purpose of this paper is to give a topological lattice completion of semisimple MV-algebras. To this end, we characterize the complete atomic center MV-algebras and semisimple algebras as subalgebras of a cube. Then we define the $\delta$-completion of semisimple MV-algebra and construct the $\delta$-completion. We also study some important properties and extension properties of $\delta$-completion.

Valence State of the Sm Metal

  • Valence state of the Sm metal is investigated using the total energy linearized muffin-tin orbital (LMTO) band method for the observed Sm-type crystal structure. We have considered both the relativistic and the semi-relativistic description of 4f-core electrons. We have found that, in the paramagnetic phase of bulk Sm, the trivalent valence state is more stable at the observed lattice constant than the divalent valence state.

나선와류를 이용한 프로펠러 추력계산과 풍동 시험 연구 (The Calculation of Propeller Thrust using Semi-infinite Helical Vortices and a Wind tunnel Test)

  • 본 연구에서는 프로펠러의 형상 및 환경 요소의 영향에 따른 추력값을 빠르게 계산할 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하였다. 여기서 유도 요소를 계산하기 위해서, 카와다에 의해 소개된 준-무한 나선와류 모델을 이용하였다. 본 code의 구조는 Wrench의 프로펠러 양력선 이론에 기초하여 제작되었으며, 프로펠러의 추력, 파워 및 효율 등의 공력값을 계산할 수 있다. 1차적인 프로그램의 신뢰성 있는 검증을 위해 NACA 보고서의 시험 결과와 비교 및 검증을 시행하였다. 2차적인 프로그램의 검증을 위해서는, 프로펠러 회전속도와 전진 속도에 변화를 주면서 아음속 풍동 시험을 수행하였다.
