  • The recent research investigates the generalization of Bessel function in different forms as its usefulness in various fields of applied sciences. In this paper, we introduce a new modified form of k-Bessel functions called the generalized modified k-Bessel functions and established some of its properties.

  • Let p be a prime and $f(z)=\Sigma_{n}a(n)q^n$ be a weakly holomorphic modular function for ${\Gamma}^*_0(p)$ with a(0) = 0. We use Bruinier and Funke's work to find the generating series of modular traces of f(z) as Jacobi forms.

  • A new proof of the well-known identity involved in the Beta function B(p, q) is given by using the theory of hypergeometric series and a brief history of Gamma function is also provided. The method here is shown to be able to apply to evaluate some definite integrals.

  • In this paper, we define a new subclass of k-uniformly starlike functions of order γ (0 ≤ γ < 1) by using certain generalized q-integral operator. We explore geometric interpretation of the functions in this class by connecting it with conic domains. We also investigate q-sufficient coefficient condition, q-Fekete-Szegö inequalities, q-Bieberbach-De Branges type coefficient estimates and radius problem for functions in this class. We conclude this paper by introducing an analogous subclass of k-uniformly convex functions of order γ by using the generalized q-integral operator. We omit the results for this new class because they can be directly translated from the corresponding results of our main class.

  • Fox [2] presented an interesting identity for $_pF_q$ which is expressed in terms of a finite summation of $_pF_q$'s whose involved numerator and denominator parameters are different from those in the starting one. Moreover Fox [2] found a very interesting and general summation formula for $_3F_2(1/2)$ as a special case of his above-mentioned general identity with the help of Kummer's second summation theorem for $_2F_1(1/2)$. Here, in this paper, we show how two general summation formulas for $$_3F_2\[\array{\hspace{110}{\alpha},{\beta},{\gamma};\\{\alpha}-m,\;\frac{1}{2}({\beta}+{\gamma}+i+1);}\;{\frac{1}{2}}\]$$, m being a nonnegative integer and i any integer, can be easily established by suitably specializing the above-mentioned Fox's general identity with, here, the aid of generalizations of Kummer's second summation theorem for $_2F_1(1/2)$ obtained recently by Rakha and Rathie [7]. Several known results are also seen to be certain special cases of our main identities.

  • The veritable pursuit of this exegesis is to exhibit integrals affined with the Bessel-Struve kernel function, which are explicitly inscribed in terms of generalized (Wright) hypergeometric function and also the product of generalized (Wright) hypergeometric function with sum of two confluent hypergeometric functions. Somewhat integrals involving exponential functions, modified Bessel functions and Struve functions of order zero and one are also obtained as special cases of our chief results.

  • The study of the identities of symmetry for the Bernoulli polynomials arises from the study of Gauss's multiplication formula for the gamma function. There are many works in this direction. In the sense of p-adic analysis, the q-Bernoulli polynomials are natural extensions of the Bernoulli and Apostol-Bernoulli polynomials (see the introduction of this paper). By using the N-fold iterated Volkenborn integral, we derive serval identities of symmetry related to the q-extension power sums and the higher order q-Bernoulli polynomials. Many previous results are special cases of the results presented in this paper, including Tuenter's classical results on the symmetry relation between the power sum polynomials and the Bernoulli numbers in [A symmetry of power sum polynomials and Bernoulli numbers, Amer. Math. Monthly 108 (2001), no. 3, 258-261] and D. S. Kim's eight basic identities of symmetry in three variables related to the q-analogue power sums and the q-Bernoulli polynomials in [Identities of symmetry for q-Bernoulli polynomials, Comput. Math. Appl. 60 (2010), no. 8, 2350-2359].

  • A remarkably large number of integrals involving a product of certain combinations of Bessel functions of several kinds as well as Bessel functions, themselves, have been investigated by many authors. Motivated the works of both Garg and Mittal and Ali, very recently, Choi and Agarwal gave two interesting unified integrals involving the Bessel function of the first kind $J_{\nu}(z)$. In the present sequel to the aforementioned investigations and some of the earlier works listed in the reference, we present two generalized integral formulas involving a product of Bessel functions of the first kind, which are expressed in terms of the generalized Lauricella series due to Srivastava and Daoust. Some interesting special cases and (potential) usefulness of our main results are also considered and remarked, respectively.

  • On the positive real number, we obtain the Hyers-Ulam stability and a stability in the sense of R. Ger for the generalized beta function g(x+p,y+q) = ${\varphi}(x,y)g(x,y)$ in the following settings: $$\mid$g(x+p,y+q)-{\varphi}(x,y)g(x,y)$\mid${\leq}{\delta}$ and $$\mid$\frac{g(x+p,y+q)}{\varphi(x,y)g(x,y)}-1$\mid${\leq}{\psi}(x,y). As a consequence we obtain stability theorems for the gamma functional equation and the beta functional equation.
