Let D be an integral domain with quotient field K, A a nonempty set of height-one maximal t-ideals of D, F$({\Lambda})={I{\subseteq}D|I$ is an ideal of D such that $I{\subseteq}P$ for all $P{\in}A}$, and $D_F({\Lambda})={x{\in}K|xA{\subseteq}D$ for some $A{\in}F({\Lambda})}$. In this paper, we prove that if each $P{\in}A$ is the radical of a finite type v-ideal (resp., a principal ideal), then $D_{F({\Lambda})}$ is a weakly Krull domain (resp., generalized weakly factorial domain) if and only if the intersection $D_{F({\Lambda})}={\cap}_{P{\in}A}D_P$ has finite character, if and only if $F({\Lambda})$ is a t-splitting set of ideals, if and only if $F({\Lambda})$ is v-finite.

Purpose: To suggest ideas that promote sexual health and useful in planning sex education programs for middle school students. Method: This study surveyed 661 middle school students from three schools in Seoul and Chunchon. Result: The average degree of sexual knowledge was 31.5, while attitude was 32.5. There were statistically significant differences in sexual knowledge in relation to: coeducational environment (t=-5.776, p=.000), grade (F=36.351, p=.000), father's age (t=-2.510, p=.012), mother's age (t=-2.146, p=.032), economical status (F=3.264, p=.039), source of sexual knowledge (F=8.484, p=.000), the degree of interest in the opposite sex (F=16.871, p=.000), sexual discussions with parents (t=3.556, p=.000), sexual discussions with teachers (t=2.847, p=.005), and sex education (t=2.148, p=.032). Likewise, stastically significant differences in sexual attitudes were linked to: coeducational environment (t=-7.646, p=.000), subject's grade (F=32.743, p=.000), parental marriage status (t=2.338, p=.020), mother's age (t=-2.048, p=.041), source of sexual knowledge (F=6.917, p=.000), the degree of interest in the opposite sex (F=15.559, p=.000), sexual discussions with parents (t=3.908, p=.000), and sexual discussions with teachers (t=2.946, p=.003). The students level of sexual knowledge and attitude was significantly correlated (r=.686, p=.000). Conclusion: This study indicates a variety of systematic sexual education programs are needed for middle school student at home and school.

Assume $H_i : R_+ \times R_+ \to R_+ (i = 1, 2)$ are monotonically increasing (in both variables), homogeneous mapping for which $H_1(tu, tv) = t^p(H_1(u, v) (p > 0)$ and $H_2(u, v)^{t^q} (q \leq 1)$ hold for $t, u, v \geq 0$. Using an idea from the paper of Baker, Lawrence and Zorzitto [2], the superstability problems of the functional inequalities $\Vert f(x+y) - f(x)f(y) \Vert \leq H_i (\Vert x \Vert, \Vert y \Vert)$ shall be investigated.

We consider the nonlinear nonautonomous differential system $$(1) x' = f(t,x), x(t_0) = x_0,$$ where $f \in C(R^+ \times R^n, R^n)$ and $R^+ = [0, \infty}$. We assume that the Jacobian matrix $f_x = \partail f/\partial x$ exists and is continuous on $R^+ \times R^n$ and that $f(t,0) \equiv 0$. The symbol $$\mid$\cdot$\mid$$ denotes arbitary norm in $R^n$.

Let f be a transcendental meromorphic function in the complex plane $\mathbb{C}$, and a be a nonzero constant. We give a quantitative estimate of the characteristic function T(r, f) in terms of $N(r,1/(f^2(f^{\prime})^n-a))$, which states as following inequality, for positive integers $n{\geq}2$, $$T(r,f){\leq}\(3+{\frac{6}{n-1}}\)N\(r,{\frac{1}{af^2(f^{\prime})^n-1}}\)+S(r,f)$$.

The purpose of this paper is to describe some characterizations on rational and f-rational extensions of modules, to determine the forms of f-rational extensions of given f-torsion free module for a left exact radical t and investigate the maximal t-rational extensions of modules.

We characterize the additive operators preserving rank-additivity on symmetry matrix spaces. Let $S_{n}(F)$ be the space of all $n\;\times\;n$ symmetry matrices over a field F with 2, $3\;\in\;F^{*}$, then T is an additive injective operator preserving rank-additivity on $S_{n}(F)$ if and only if there exists an invertible matrix $U\;\in\;M_n(F)$ and an injective field homomorphism $\phi$ of F to itself such that $T(X)\;=\;cUX{\phi}U^{T},\;\forallX\;=\;(x_{ij)\;\in\;S_n(F)$ where $c\;\in;F^{*},\;X^{\phi}\;=\;(\phi(x_{ij}))$. As applications, we determine the additive operators preserving minus-order on $S_{n}(F)$ over the field F.

효모균 타이로실-tRNA 합성효소(Sc YRS)와 엠버 멈춤코돈을 인식하는 대장균 시작tRNA 변이체(fMam $tRNA_{CUA}$)쌍은 대장균에서 단백질 생합성시 원하는 특정 위치에 비천연아미노산을 도입하는데 활용된다. Sc YRS/fMam $tRNA_{CUA}$쌍의 엠버써프레션 활성을 높이기 위해 fMam $tRNA_{CUA}$의 첫번째 안티코돈 염기를 인식하는 Sc YRS의 320번, 321번 아미노산 잔기를 암호화하는 염기서열을 무작위로 돌연변이시킨 라이브러리를 제작하였다. 엠버써프레션에 의한 클로람페니콜 저항성을 이용해 라이브러리를 탐색하여 활성이 향상된 2개의 돌연변이주를 선별하였다. 이들의 클로람페니콜 저항성 성장의 $IC_{50}$값은 야생형 YRS보다 1.7~2.3배 높았으며, in vivo 엠버써프레션 활성을 비교한 결과 3~6.5배의 활성 증가가 나타났다. 높은 활성을 보인 mYRS-3 (P320A/D321A) 단백질의 fMam $tRNA_{CUA}$에 대한 in vitro aminoacylation kinetics 분석은 야생형보다 약 7배 높은 효소활성을 보였으며, 이는 주로 기질인 fMam $tRNA_{CUA}$에 대한 결합 친화도가 증가하여 나타났다. 이런 접근법을 이용하여 다양한 종류의 비천연 아미노산 도입에 활용되는 aminoacyl-tRNA 합성효소의 엠버써프레션 활성을 높임으로써 엠버 멈춤코돈을 이용한 비천연 아미노산 도입 효율성을 높일 수 있을 것이다.

단간 Japonica품종들의 semi-dwarf(d-t) gene에 대한 allelism을 검토하기 위해 semi-dwarf gene을 가진 wx817을 검정친으로 7개의 Japonica품종들을 교배하여 그 F$_1$, F$_2$ 및 F$_3$의 간장분리를 조사한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 검정친 wx817과 7개 Japonica품종들간의 조합 F$_2$에서는 mode를 중심으로 정규분포 하였다. 2. F$_2$의 단간군. 중간군, 장간군에서 선발된 F$_3$계통은 선발 당시의 간장을 중심으로 정규분포를 나타내었다. 3. 조합에 따라서 F$_3$계통의 간장변이의 폭이 F$_2$집단에 비하여 다소 차이가 있었으나 분리양상은 모든 조합에서 동일하였다. 4. 이상의 결과로 볼 때 공시된 7개 Japonica품종들의 간장을 지배하는 주동유전子는 semi-dwarf(d-t) gene과 동일함을 알 수 있었고 품종에 따라 서로 다른 미동유전자가 작용하는 것으로 추정된다.
