The Evaluation of Mechanical properties on the Changes of Microstructure for Titanium Alloy (Ti-6Al-4V) (티타늄 합금(Ti-6Al-4V)의 조직변화에 따른 기계적 특성 평가)

  • The characteristics of mechanical behavior were estimated for Ti-6Al-4V alloy with four kinds of microstructure prepared with heat treatments. For this study, impact test, tensile test and fatigue crack growth test were performed, and then compared mechanical properties on the four microstructures. Furthermore, for quantitative evaluation, fractal dimensions of crack pass were obtained using the box counting method. The main results obtained are summarized as follows. (1) The microstructures exhibited equiaxed microstructure, bimodal-microstructure and lamellar microstructure by heat treatment. (2) The impact absorbed energy and elongation is superior in the bimodal-microstructure, and the hardness and tensile strength are superior in the lamellar microstructure. (3) The fatigue crack growth rate is similar to all microstructures in the low ${\Delta}K$ region. The fatigue crack growth rate of equiaxed microstructure is fastest, and that of lamellar microstructure is lowest in the high ${\Delta}K$ region. (4) The fractal dimension D of lamellar microstructure is higher then that of the equiaxed microstructure and bimodal microstructure.

Comparison of Micronulcleus Induction of Cigarette Smoke Condensate in Various Cell Lines (세포주에 따른 담배연기응축물의 소핵생성 비교)

  • Although tobacco smoke has been known to have genotoxicity as well as cytotoxicity, the sensitivity of the cell lines used against cigarette smoke is poorly understood. The objective of this study was to evaluate and compare the genotoxicity of several cell lines, which are routinely used in the in vitro assays, with cigarette smoke condensate(CSC) of Kentucky Reference Cigarette 1R4F. In the micronucleus(MN) induction assays, murine(CHO-K1, V79, BALB/c 3T3) cell lines and human(MCF-7, A549) ones were used. As a result, the CSC exhibited cytotoxicity with a concentration-dependent response in all cell lines. EC$_{50}$ of CSC in CHO-K1, V79, BALB/c 3T3, MCF-7 and A549 were 140, 125, 100, 116 and 109 $\mu\textrm{g}$/mL, respectively. On the other hand, the spontaneous micronucleated cell(MNC) frequency was stable and reproducible in every cell lines tested in this study. The dose-response of various cell lines to the induction of MN by CSC was estimated using linear regression analysis. CSC(0~100 $\mu\textrm{g}$/mL) caused a dose-dependent MN induction in CHO-K1, V79, BALB/c 3T3 and MCF-7 cell lines. Putting together all the data obtained and linear regression analysis of the data, we concluded that V79 cells are more susceptible to the accurate assessment of CSC-induced MN than the others.s.

Bandgap Voltage Reference Circuit Design Technology Suitable for Driving Large OLED Display Panel (대형 OLED 디스플레이 패널 구동에 적합한 밴드갭 레퍼런스 회로 설계 및 결과)

  • In this paper, a CMOS bandgap voltage reference that is not sensitive to changes in the external environment is presented. Large OLED display panels need high supply voltage. MOSFET devices with high voltage are sensitive to the output voltage due to the channel length modulation effect. The self-cascode circuit was applied to the bandgap reference circuit. Simulation results show that the maximum output voltage change of the basic circuit is 77mV when the supply voltage is changed from 10.5V to 13.5V, but the proposed circuit change is improved to 0.0422mV. The improved circuit has a low temperature coefficient of $9.1ppm/^{\circ}C$ when changing the temperature from $-40^{\circ}C$ to $140^{\circ}C$. Therefore, the proposed circuit can be used as a reference voltage source for circuits that require a high supply voltage.

  • 에폭시 레진이 경화될 때 이들의 기계적 성질의 변화는 지금까지 주로 실험과 실험식에 의하여 구하여졌다. 근간에 이들의 변화를 이론적으로 구하기 위한 구성방정식이 본 발표자에 의하여 발표되었으나 실험데이터와 구성방정식 상호간의 정량적 관계가 정립되지는 못하였다. 본 연구 에서는 세 종류의 시료, 즉 Epon 815/V140, Epon 820/Z와 DER 332가 경화될 때 이들의 기계적 성질을 구성방정식을 사용하여 구하여 초음파 방법으로 측정된 실험 결과와 비교검토함으로써 에폭시 레진의 경화에 따른 기계적 성질들의 대부분을 제안된 구성 방정식으로 구할 수 있음을 보였다.

  • A pulse generator of one stage magnetic pulse compression modulator was simulated by electromagnetic transients program (EMTP). The pulse generator was expected to generate ${\sim}80kV$ peak voltage, ${\sim}140ns$ pulse width and about $70{\sim}75%$ energy delivery efficiency from initial charge capacitor $(0.2{\mu}F)$ to dummy load $(25{\Omega})$. From this simulation, the scheme of pulse circuit could be estimated as a practically reasonable design.

Comparison of Bone Volume Measurements Using Conventional Single and Dual Energy Computed Tomography (전산화단층영상검사에서 단일에너지와 이중에너지를 이용한 뼈 부피측정의 비교)

  • The study examines changes in calcium volume on born by comparing two figures; one is measured by dual energy computed tomography(DECT) followed by applying variation in monochromatic energy selection(keV), material decomposition(MD), and material suppressed iodine(MSI) analysis, and the other is measured by conventional single source computed tomography(CSCT). For this study, based on CSCT images taken by using human mimicked phantom, 70, 100, 140 keV and MSI, MD material calcium weighting(MCW) and MD material iodine weighting(MIW) of DECT were applied respectively. Then calculated calcium volume was converted to Agatston score for comparison. Volume of human mimicked phantom was in inverse proportion to keV. The volume decreased while keV increased(p<0.05). The most similar DECT volumes were reconstructed at 70 keV, the difference was showed $35.8{\pm}12.2$ for rib, femur ($16.1{\pm}24.1$), pelvis($13.7{\pm}18.8$), and spine($179.0{\pm}61.8$). However, the volume of MSI was down for each organ; the volume of rib was 5.55%, femur(76.34%), pelvis(55.16%) and spine(87.58%). The volume of MSI decreased 55.9% for rib, femur(80.7%), pelvis(69.6%) and spine(54.2%) while MD MIW reduced for rib(83.51%), femur(87.68%), pelvis(86.64%), and spine(82.62%). With the results, the study found that outcomes were affected by the method which examiners employed. When using DECT, calcium volume of born dropped with keV increased. It also found that the most similar DECT images were reconstructed at 70 keV. The results of experiments implied that the users of MSI and MD should be cautious of errors as there are big differences in scores between those two methods.

Vacuum Ultraviolet Emission Characteristics on High Xenon Mole Fraction at Low Pressure in AC-PDP (AC-PDP에서 저압의 높은 Xe함량 방전기체의 진공자외선 발광특성)

  • Nowadays, many research groups try to achieve the high Xe mole fraction discharge gas for high efficiency in AC-PDPs. However, the high Xe mole fraction discharge gas causes the high discharge voltage, which is a serious problem in AC-PDP's for high efficiency. In this study, the discharge gas with high Xe mole fraction and the low pressures has been applied and it's discharge voltage and vacuum ultraviolet emission characteristics have also been measured. It is shown that the discharge voltage is 354V and 389V at Ne+Xe (15%) with 400 Torr and Ne+Xe (30%) with 200 Torr, respectively. Their vacuum ultraviolet emission characteristics have similar characteristics to each other, in which their wavelengths are ranged from 140 nm to 200 nm. It is found in this experiment that the luminous efficiency for the discharge gas of Ne+Xe (30%) with 200 Torr is drastically increased by about 30%.

  • A new CMOS buffer removing short-circuit power consumption is proposed. The gate-driving signal of the pull-up(pull-down) transistor at the output is controlled by delayed internal signal to get tri-state output momentarily by shunting off the path of the short-circuit current. The SPICE simulation results verified the operation of the proposed buffer and showed the enhancement of the power-delay product at 3.3V supply voltage about 42% comparing to the conventional tapered CMOS buffer(1).

  • 이 논문에서는, 홀드-업 보상 기법을 통해 넓은 입력 범위에서 최적 설계가 가능한 비대칭 하프-브리지 컨버터를 제안한다. 제안된 회로가 갖는 주된 장점은 기존의 회로 동작에 어떠한 변화도 주지 않은 채, 넓은 입력 전압 범위에서도 최적 설계가 가능하게 하는 것이다. 기존의 비대칭 하프-브리지 컨버터는 입력 전압이 가장 낮은 홀드-업 시 설계가 되어, 정상 동작 시 비대칭 동작에 의한 단점을 갖는 반면, 제안 된 컨버터는 홀드-업 시 추가적인 전압 이득을 통해 출력 전압을 제어하기 때문에 홀드-업 동작 시 넓은 입력 전압 범위에 관계없이 컨버터의 최적 설계가 가능하다. 또한 기존의 방법들에 비해, 정상 동작 시에 추가 소자에 의한 손실이 발생하지 않아, 전 범위에서 고효율을 달성하였다. 250-410V 입력, 45V/3.3A 출력의 컨버터를 통해 제안 된 회로의 동작을 검증하였다.
