  • Let $(\Omega, F, P)$ be a probability space with F a $\sigma$-algebra of subsets of the measure space $\Omega$ and P a probability measure on $\Omega$. Suppose $a > 0$ and let $(F_t)_{t \in [0,a]}$ be an increasing family of sub-$\sigma$-algebras of F. If $r > 0$, let $J = [-r,0]$ and $C(J, R^n)$ the Banach space of all continuous paths $\gamma : J \to R^n$ with the sup-norm $\Vert \gamma \Vert = sup_{s \in J}$\mid$\gamma(s)$\mid$$ where $$\mid$\cdot$\mid$$ denotes the Euclidean norm on $R^n$. Let E,F be separable real Banach spaces and L(E,F) be the Banach space of all continuous linear maps $T : E \to F$.

  • We present the results of astrometric observations using water masers around a semi-regular variable star R Crt. The observations were carried out for two years with the Korean VLBI Network (KVN). The absolute positions of the water masers from R Crt are successfully obtained at 10 epochs in total. By tracking the positions of the water maser emission, we directly measured the annual parallax and distance of R Crt. The measured distance to R Crt enables us to estimate the actual 3D velocity of water masers around R Crt. Our research suggests the possibility of performing astrometric studies with the KVN. As a next step, we are going to enhance the astrometric accuracy by observing SiO masers.

  • The normalized line profiles of VV Cep have been calculated by integrating the equation of transfer. The Sobolev theory was adopted and the wind velocity distribution was assumed to be V(r) = V$\infty(1-R_c/r)^{1/2}$. The peaks of the line profiles for the phase 0.06 and 0.80 appear at near half maximum and zero velocity surface of the wind, respectively.

  • For a ring R with 1, the higher K-theory of Quillen is defined by the higher homotopy groups of the plus construction of the general linear group of R. On the other hand, the Volodin K-theory is defined by the higher homotopy groups of the Volodin space. In this paper we show that these two K-theories are equivalent. We show that the Volodin space is a homotopy fiber of the acyclic map from BGL(R) to its plus construction.

  • It is proved that if for each n, $1\leqp_n\leq2 \;and \;the(p_n, p’_n)$ Clarkson inequality holds in each Banach space X$_{n}$ then the (t, t’) Clarkson inequality holds in ($\sum^\infty_{n=1}\; X_n)_r, \;the \ell^r-sum \;of\; X_n’s,\; where\; 1\leqr<\infty,\; t=min{p, r, r’} \;and \;p = \;inf{p_n}.$ The (p, p’) Clarkson inequality is preserved by quotient maps and a new proof of a Takahashi-Kato theorem stating that the (p, p’) Clarkson inequality holds in a Banach space X if and only if it holds in its dual space $X_*$ is given.n.

  • The deformation spaces of the six orientable 3-dimensional flat Riemannian manifolds are studies. It is proved that the Teichmuller spaces are homeomorphic to the Euclidean spaces. To state more precisely, let $\Phi$ denote the holonomy group of the manifold. Then the Teichmuller space is homeomorphic to (1) ${\mathbb{R}}^6\;if\;\Phi$ is trivial, (2) ${\mathbb{R}}^4\;if\;\Phi$ is cyclic with order two, (3) ${\mathbb{R}}^2\;if\;\Phi$ is cyclic of order 3, 4 or 6, and (4) ${\mathbb{R}}^3\;if\;\Phi\;\cong\;{\mathbb{Z}_2}\;\times\;{\mathbb{Z}_2}$.

  • Define $\bar{g}{\upsilon, \omega) = -\upsilon_1\omega_1 + \cdots + \upsilon_n\omega_n$ for $\upsilon, \omega in R^n$. $R^n$ together with this metric is called the Lorentzian n-space, denoted by $L^n$, and $R^n$ together with the Euclidean metric is called the Euclidean n-space, denoted by $E^n$. A Lorentzian surface in $L^n$ means an orientable connected 2-dimensional Lorentzian submanifold of $L^n$ equipped with the induced Lorentzian metrix g from $\bar{g}$.

  • Let $C^r[0,t]$ be the function space of the vector-valued continuous paths $x:[0,t]{\rightarrow}\mathbb{R}^r$ and define $X_t:C^r[0,t]{\rightarrow}\mathbb{R}^{(n+1)r}$ and $Y_t:C^r[0,t]{\rightarrow}\mathbb{R}^{nr}$ by $X_t(x)=(x(t_0),\;x(t_1),\;{\cdots},\;x(t_{n-1}),\;x(t_n))$ and $Y_t(x)=(x(t_0),\;x(t_1),\;{\cdots},\;x(t_{n-1}))$, respectively, where $0=t_0$ < $t_1$ < ${\cdots}$ < $t_n=t$. In the present paper, using two simple formulas for the conditional expectations over $C^r[0,t]$ with the conditioning functions $X_t$ and $Y_t$, we establish evaluation formulas for the analogue of the conditional analytic Fourier-Feynman transform for the function of the form $${\exp}\{{\int_o}^t{\theta}(s,\;x(s))\;d{\eta}(s)\}{\psi}(x(t)),\;x{\in}C^r[0,t]$$ where ${\eta}$ is a complex Borel measure on [0, t] and both ${\theta}(s,{\cdot})$ and ${\psi}$ are the Fourier-Stieltjes transforms of the complex Borel measures on $\mathbb{R}^r$.
