This paper presents summary results of direct interview survey of Korean industrial customers conducted to evaluate the direct and short duration interruption costs resulting from local random electrical supply interruptions. The cost is evaluated using the questionnaires authors designed, which are mainly on the experience or preparatory actions consumers Predicted they would take. Economic evaluation of reliability that traditionally takes into account duration and frequency of interruption does not accurately reflect the lost value or economic impacts of industrial customer, especially large size, caused by any kind of interruption. So, to imply the substantial difference in costs incurred by different customer group, the authors apply the international standards, i.e. IEC, IEEE, to the analysis on the interruption costs.

Mistletoe lectin I(ML I)에 대한 간단하고 빠른 용액상 효소결합 분석법을 렉틴의 당 특이성을 이용하여 개발하였다. ML I에 특이성을 가지고 있는 D-galactose를 사용하였으며, 용액상 분석법의 효소로는 malate dehydrogenase(MDH)를 사용하였다. 분석신호물질로 사용되는 MDH-galactose 접합체는 isothiocyanate 방법을 통해 합성하였으며, 이 접합제는 thiourea 결합을 하고 있다. ML I의 존재하에, ML I은 D-galactole와의 특이 인식결합을 통해 MDH-galartose 접합체의 활동도를 억제한다. 그러므로, 존재하는 ML I의 농도는 MDH-galactose 접합제의 촉매활동도의 억제도에 비례하게 된다. 따라서, 본 용액상 효소결합 분석법을 통하여 ${\mu}g/mL$ 수준의 ML I의 측정이 분석 시간 10분 이내에 가능하였다.

배 경 : cTnI는 심근손상의 특이 표시자로서 급성관상동맥 질환에서 높은 증가는 나쁜 예후와 상관이 있다. cTnI의 증가는 여러 가지 비심장성 중증질환에서도 관찰할 수 있다. 연구자 등은 비순환기계 중환자의 예후인자로서 cTnI의 유용성을 조사하였다. 대상 및 방법 : 2003년 1월부터 2004년 7월까지 경상대학교 병원내과계 중환자실에 급성 관상동맥 증후군 이외의 중증 질환으로 입원한 215명의 환자(남:142명, 여:73명, 평균 나이:$63{\pm}2$세)를 대상으로 하였다. 환자들은 중환자실 입원 24시간 이내에 SAPS II와 SOFA점수를 산출하였고 혈청 cTnI를 측정하였다. cTnI 양성군(${\geq}0.1{\mu}g/L$)과 음성군($<0.1{\mu}g/L$) 환자의 중환자실 제 10병일째와 30병일째 사망률을 비교하였다. cTnI 양성군에서 중환자실 제 10병일째와 30병일째에 혈청 cTnI의 평균수치를 비교하였다. cTnI 양성군에서 혈청 cTnI 수치와 SAPS II와 SOFA점수와의 상관관계를 조사하였다. 결 과 : 1) cTnI양성군 환자는 120명(56%)이었고 음성군환자는 95명(44%)였다. 2) 중환자실 제 10병일째와30병일째의 사망률은 cTnI 양성군(29%, 41%)이 음성군(12%, 21%)보다 유의하게 높았다(p<0.01). 3) cTnI 양성군에서 중환자실제10병일째와 30병일째의 cTnI 평균 수치는 비생존군($4.5{\pm}9.2{\mu}g/L$, $3.5{\pm}7.9{\mu}g/L$)이 생존군($1.8{\pm}3.6{\mu}g/L$, $2.0{\pm}3.9{\mu}g/L$)보다 유의하게 높았다(p<0.05). 4) cTnI 양성군에서 cTnI 수치는 SAPS II 점수(r=0.24, p<0.001)와 SOFA 점수(r=0.30, p<0.001)와 유의한 상관관계가 있었다. 결 론 : 혈청 cTnI는 비순환기계 중환자의 유용한 예후인자가 될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

The generalized Hyers-Ulam stability problems of the mixed type functional equation $$f\({\sum_{i=1}^{4}xi\)+\sum_{1{\leq}i<j{\leq}4}f(x_i+x_j)=\sum_{i=1}^{4}f(x_i)+\sum_{1{\leq}i<j<k{\leq}4}f(x_i+X_j+x_k)$$ is treated under the approximately even(or odd) condition and the behavior of the quadratic mappings and the additive mappings is investigated.

The DNA Topoisomerase I (DNA Topo I) inhibitory effect of ten isolated compounds (1.10) from the leaf and stem of Vitis amurensis were examined. Among them, amurensin G (5) and r-2-viniferin (7) showed high potent inhibitory activity against DNA Topo I. DNA Topo I, an important target for anticancer drugs, can cause DNA breaks and play a key role during cell proliferation, transcription and repair. Thus, the results suggest that the selected compounds (5 and 7) from Vitis amurensis have a possibility as DNA Topo I-targeting anticancer agents.

This paper deals with an I/O simulator design for performance evaluation of reactor protection systems in nuclear power plants. The I/O simulator provides input signals for the reactor protection system, and acquires output signals from the initiation circuits. The simulator is based on VMEbus system, and all VMEbus boards are developed within the country.

Let ${Y_i;-\infty<i<\infty}$ be a doubly infinite sequence of identically distributed and $\phi$-mixing random variables with zero means and finite variances and ${a_i;-\infty<i<\infty}$ an absolutely summable sequence of real numbers. In this paper, we prove the complete moment convergence of ${{\sum}_{k=1}^{n}\;{\sum}_{i=-\infty}^{\infty}\;a_{i+k}Y_i/n^{1/p};n\geq1}$ under some suitable conditions.

The transient photocurrent in amorphous silicon radiation detectors (n-i-n and forward biased p-i-n) were analyzed. The transient photocurrents in these devices could be modeled using multiple trap levels in the forbidden gap. Using this model the rise and decay shapes of the photocurrents could be fitted. The decaying photocurrent shapes of the p-i-n and n-i-n devices after a short duration of light pulse showed a similar behavior at low dark current density levels, but at higher dark current density levels the photocurrent of the p-i-n diode decayed faster than that of the n-i-n, which could be explained by the decreased electron lifetimes in the forward biased p-i-n diode at high dark current densities. The transient photoconductive gain behaviors in the amorphous silicon radiation detectors are discussed in terms of device configuration, dark current density and time scale.

BLDC Motor has many advantages for control. This paper presents to perform constant speed against disturbance during operation. BLDC motor control used I-P algorithm to have fast response, reliable stability and robust response. In this paper I-P algorithm applied to 50W BLDC Motor According to results, I-P algorithm characteristics is confirmed.
