Robust $H_{\infty}$ Control for Bilinear Systems with Parameter Uncertainties via output Feedback

  • This paper focuses on robust $H_{\infty}$ control for bilinear systems with time-varying parameter uncertainties and exogenous disturbance via output feedback. $H_{\infty}$ control is achieved via separation into a $H_{\infty}$ state feedback control problem and a $H_{\infty}$ state estimation problem. The suitable robust stabilizing output feedback control law can be constructed in term of approximated solution to x-dependent Riccati equation using successive approximation technique. Also, the $H_{\infty}$ filter gain can be constructed in term of solution to algebraic Riccati equation. The output feedback control robustly stabilizes the plant and guarantees a robust $H_{\infty}$ performance for the closed-loop systems in the face of parameter uncertainties and exogenous disturbance.

Fast Envelope Estimation Technique for Monitoring Voltage Fluctuations

  • Voltage quality problems such as voltage sag, swell, flicker, undervoltage, and overvoltage have been of great concern for both utilities and customers over the last decade. In this paper, a new approach based on the $H_{\infty}$ algorithm to monitor voltage disturbances is presented. The key idea of this approach is to estimate the amplitude of the fundamental component of distorted and noisy voltage waveform instantaneously, and then the information can be extracted from the estimated envelope to identify and classify different voltage related power quality problems. The $H_{\infty}$ algorithm is characterized by a fast tracking, unlike that of existing techniques. The $H_{\infty}$ algorithm outperforms the Kalman Filter (KF) by its fast convergence and robust tracking performance against non-Gaussian noise. The paper investigates the effects of various types of noise on the performance of the $H_{\infty}$ algorithm. Digital simulation results confirm the validity and accuracy of the proposed method. The proposed $H_{\infty}$ algorithm is examined by tracking the flicker produced by a resistance welder simulated in the PSCAD/EMTDC package.

상태 궤환을 이용한 H 반복 제어 시스템 설계 (Design of H Repetitive Control Systems using State Feedback)

  • Repetitive control is a specialized control scheme to track and/or attenuate a periodic reference trajectory and/or disturbance. Most researches about repetitive control have been performed in the frequency domain. Recently, several approaches to deal with repetitive control systems in the state space are developed by representing a q filter as a state-space equation. This paper presents a design method of a repetitive control system in the state space to satisfy $H_{\infty}$ performance. The overall system is composed of a plant, a repetitive controller, and a state-feedback controller, which can be converted to a standard form used in $H_{\infty}$ control. A LMI (Linear Matrix Inequality)-based stability condition is derived for fixed state-feedback gains. Under a given q filter, another LMI condition is derived to improve $H_{\infty}$ performance and is employed to find state-feedback gains by solving an optimization problem. Finally, to verify the feasibility of the proposed method, a numerical example is demonstrated.

  • In the industrial motor drive system, a shaft torsional vibration is often generated when a motor and a load are connected with a flexible shaft. This paper treats the vibration suppression control of such a system. In this paper, two-degree-of-freedom(TDOF) control of the two-mass resonant system using the $H_{\infty}$ filter is proposed. TDOF control method satisfies the command following property and the internal stability at the same. The $H_{\infty}$ filter is robust in noise and disturbance. Simulation results show the validity of the proposed control method.

  • In this paper, we consider $H^{\infty}$ optimal Kalman filter problems for linear weakly coupled stochastic systems. We introduce a decomposition for the systems of the Hamiltonian form, which plays an important role of exclusion of ill-condition by ${\varepsilon}$-effect and the parallel computation possibility. It is shown that the algebraic Riccati equation of the weakly coupled $H^{\infty}$ optimal Kalman filter problem is decoupled into completely independent reduced-order, well-defined, two suboptimal Kalman filters.

  • 칼만/위너 필터 같은 기존의 음성향상 알고리즘은 잡음의 선험적 지식을 요구하고, 음성신호와 추정신호의 오차분산을 최소화하는데 중점을 두었다. 따라서, 잡음에 대한 통계적 추정에 오류가 있을 경우 결과에 악영향을 미칠 수 있다. 그러나 $H_\infty$ 필터는 잡음에 대한 어떠한 가정이나 선험적 지식을 요구하지 않는다. $H_\infty$ 필터는 최소상계(Upper Bound Least)를 적용하여 추정된 모든 신호들로부터 최소 에러 신호를 갖는 최상의 추정신호를 찾아내므로 칼만/위너 필터보다 잡음의 변화에 강인하다. 본 논문에서는 학습 신호로부터 은닉 마코프 모델의 파리미터를 추정한 후, 오염된 신호를 고정된 개수의 $H_\infty$ 필터를 통과시켜 각 출력에 가중된 합으로 향상된 음성 신호를 구한다. 음성의 통계적 특성을 이용하여 모델 파라미터를 추정하는 은닉 마코프 모델과 잡음의 변화에 강인한 $H_\infty$ 알고리즘을 사용해서, 다중 $H_\infty$필터에 의한 강인한 음성향상 방법을 제안하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는, $H_{\infty}-LTR$ 설계의 새로운 접근방법을 제시한다. 제시된 방법은 제어입력의 크기 및 회복오차의 적절한 가중을 조절할 수 있는 설계도구를 제공한다. 1단계에서, 요구되는 성능사양에 만족하도록 루프를 정형하기 위하여 Kalman 필터를 설계하고, 설계된 Kalman 필터는 플랜트의 전달함수와 함께 목표전달함수(target transfor function)로 사용된다. 2단계에서는 목표전달함수로 회복을 위하여 감도함수를 가중함수로 상요한 준 최적 $H_{\infty}_LTR$을 설계한다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 LQG/LTR, $H_{\infty}-LTR$ 방법의 경과를 비교함으로써 제시된 $H_{\}-LTR$의 우수성을 보인다.

  • 본 논문은 시간지연을 갖는 퍼지 시스템에 대한 보장 비용과 H/sub ∞/ 외란감쇄 성능을 갖는 퍼지 필터링 문제를 다룬다. 본 연구는 외란감쇄에 대한 확장 L₂ 노옴 제한조건과 LQ 비용함수의 성능 상한치 제한조건을 만족하는 필터링 설계 방법이다. Lyapunov 함수를 이용하여 필터의 존재성에 대한 충분조건을 유도하고 선형행렬부등식(LMI: linear matrix inequality)으로 나타낸다. 필터 설계는 LMI 해를 구함으로써 바로 구할 수 있다. 제안한 방법의 설계 과정을 설명하기 위한 시뮬레이션 예제를 또한 나타낸다.

  • A H$_{\infty}$ control techniques with roll eccentricity filter is proposed to alleviate the effect of entry thickness variation and roll eccentricity occurred in rolling stand itself of tandem cold mills. A robust controller to the disturbances is designed using H$_{\infty}$ control techniques, which can reflect the input direction of disturbances and knowledge of disturbance spectrum in the frequency domain. And, non-standard H$_{\infty}$ control problem caused by selection of weight function having poles on j.omega. axis is discussed. The evaluation for the resultant controller composed by H$_{\infty}$ synthesis is done through computer simulations. The effectiveness of the proposed method is compared to those of the conventional LQ synthesis method and a feedforward controller against roll eccentricity, which was already studied.ied.

Precise Positioning $H_\infty$ Control Considering Resonance and Coulomb Friction

  • The control system of a precise positioning mechanism with resonance and Coulomb friction has been designed using H$_{\infty}$ control theory, and the control performance has been verified by computer simulation and experimental analysis. The DGKF type H$_{\infty}$ control theory with scalar weighting factors was utilized for designing the control system. The followings have been confirmed from the present study: (1) The system with H$_{\infty}$ control presents better convergence and stability than the system with conventional control (PI-notch filter control). (2) The H$_{\infty}$ control system have good robustness properties for a wide range of operating conditions in the presence of external disturbances such as Coulomb friction and changing mechanical resonant frequency.ncy.
