Enhancement of Solubility and Disolution Rate of Poorly Water-soluble Naproxen by Coplexation with $2-Hyldroxypropylo-{\beta}-cyclodextrin$

  • The solubility and dissolution rate of naproxen (NPX) complexed with 2-hydroxypropyl-.betha.-cyc-lodextrin (2-HP.betha.CD) using coprecipitation, evaporation, freeze-drying and kneading method were investigated. Solubility of NPX linearly increased (correlation cefficient, 0.995) as $2-HP\betaCD$ concentraction increased, resutling in $A_l$ type phase solubility curve. Inclusion complexes prepared by four different methods were compared by different methods were compared by dfferential scanning calorimetry(DSC). The NPX showed sharp endothemic peak around $156^{\circ}C$ but inclusion complexes by evaporation, freeze-drying and kneading method showed very broad peak without distinct phase transtion temperature. In contrast, inclusion complex prepared by coprecipitation method resulted in detectable peak around $156^{\circ}C$ which is similar to NPX, suggesting incoplete formation of indusion co plex. Dissolution rate of inclusion complexes prepared by evaporation, frezz-drying and kneding except coprecipitation method was largely enhanced in the simultaed gastric and intestinal fluid when compared to NPX powder and commercial $NA-XEN^\registered$tablet. However, about 65% of NPX in gstric fluid. in case of inclusion complex prepared by coprecipitation method, formation of inclusion complex appeared to be incoplete, resulting in no marked enhancement of dissolution rate. From these findings, inclusion complexes of poorly water-soluble NPX with $2-HP\betaCD$ were useful to increase soubility and dissolution rate, resting in enhancement of bioavailability and minimization of gastrointestinal toxicity of drug upon oral administration of inclusion complex.

  • Eupatilin is a major active component of Stillen\ulcorner(Artemisia Herba Extract) having a potent antigastritic effect. We investigated the physical properties of eupatilin using high performance liquid chromatography. Solubility, stability & partition coefficient of eupatilin were investigated. pH-stability of eupatilin was examined over the broad range through pH1-9 at 37$^{\circ}C$ & it has good stability above the broad range pH. The solubility of eupatilin was extremely low but the value of logP was more than 2. Also, a high performance liquid chromatographic method was developed for the determination of eupatilin in rat plasma. (omitted)

  • The separation and capture process of carbon dioxide from power plants is garnering interest as a method to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In this study, aqueous alkanolamine solutions were studied as absorbents for $CO_2$ capture. The solubility of $CO_2$ in aqueous alkanolamine solutions was investigated with a continuous stirred reactor at 313, 333 and 353 K. Also, the heat of absorption ($-{\Delta}H_{abs}$) between the absorbent and $CO_2$ molecules was measured with a differential reaction calorimeter (DRC) at 298 K. The solubility and heat of absorption were determined at slightly higher than atmospheric pressure. The enthalpies of $CO_2$ absorption in monoethanolamine (MEA), diethanolamine (DEA), triethanolamine (TEA), and 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP) were 88.91, 70.44, 44.72, and 63.95, respectively. This investigation showed that the heat of absorption is directly related to the quantity of heat for absorbent regeneration, and is dependent on amine type and $CO_2$ loading.

  • ITO에 사용되는 주된 재료인 인듐의 bixbyite 구조는 TCOs의 전기적 특성에서 매우 중요한 것으로 알려져 있다. 때문에 인듐의 Bixbyite구조를 유지하면서 인듐의 사용량을 줄이기 위해 최적의 Solubility limit에 관해 연구하였다. 이를 위해 In2O3-ZnO-SnO2의 삼성분계 기본 조성에 두가지 물질을 추가로 첨가하여 첨가량에 따른 Solubility limit을 연구하였다. Solubility limit의 측정을 위해 X-ray Diffractometer(XRD)를 사용하였으며, 첨가 원소의 양이 증가할수록 TCOs target의 Latice parameter값은 작아졌다, SEM을 통한 미세구조의 관찰로 원소첨가에 따른 샘플의 소결에너지 변화를 분석할 수 있었다. 제작된 시편의 정성분석 및 Chemical binding Energy를 측정하기 위해 X-ray Photo Spectroscopy (XPS)를 이용하였으며, 전기적인 특성 측정을위해 4-Point prove mesurement 방법을 사용하였다.

Desorption of Food Related Phenolic Acids from Charcoal in Single Solute Model System

  • Phenolic acids are regarded as harmful materials in food and environment science but recently, as useful materials, and thus adsorption is recommended as an effective separation technique to recover or remove phenolic acids from diluted solution. If the adsorbed phenolic compounds were useful materials, the materials should be recovered through desorption. Desorption using supercritical carbon dioxide(SC-$CO_2$) was tried to separate food-borne phenolic acids from charcoal in single solute system. In the comparisons of desorption amounts, gallic acid had the lowest lolubiligy to SC-$CO_2$. Gallic acid has more hydroxy functional groups than the other phenolic acids, which was immiscible with nonpolar SC-$CO_2$. Ferulic acid was yielded more than p-coumaric acid, because ferulic acid had much bigger molecular weight, which was affected more by van der Waas force. It was found that the most affecting factor on desorption amounts was the solubility of phenolic acids to SC-$CO_2$. The second affecting factor was van der Waals force. Response surface methodology(RSM) was conducted to read the trend of desorption. Increasing density of SC-$CO_2$ raised solubility of phenolic acids.

1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium trifluoromethanesulfonate와 1-Butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium trifluoromethanesulfonate 이온성 액체에 대한 황화수소와 메탄의 용해도 (Solubility of Hydrogen Sulfide and Methane in Ionic Liquids: 1-Ethy-3-methylimidazolium Trifluoromethanesulfonate and 1-Butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium Trifluoromethanesulfonate)

  • 동일한 음이온을 가진 두 가지 종류의 이온성 액체인 1-ethy-3-methylimidazolium trifluoromethanesulfonate ([emim][TfO])와 1-butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium trifluoromethanesulfonate ([bmpyr][TfO])를 대상으로 약 303 K로부터 약 343 K의 온도 범위와 약 30 MPa까지의 압력 범위에서 이온성 액체에 녹는 황화수소($H_2S$)와 메탄($CH_4$)의 용해도를 측정하였다. 가변부피투시창이 장착된 고압용 상평형 장치를 사용하여 온도를 변화시키면서 여러 가지 조성을 갖는 기체 + 이온성 액체 혼합물의 기포점 압력을 측정함으로써 이온성 액체에서의 기체의 용해도를 결정하였다. 이온성 액체에 대한 $H_2S$의 용해도는 압력이 증가함에 따라 증가하였으며 온도가 증가함에 따라 감소하였다. 반면에 이온성 액체에 대한 $CH_4$의 용해도는 압력이 증가함에 따라 크게 증가하였으나 온도의 영향은 거의 없었다. 동일한 음이온을 갖는 이온성 액체인 [emim][TfO]와 [bmpyr][TfO]에 대하여 $H_2S$의 용해도는 몰랄 농도 기준으로 온도 및 압력 조건에 관계없이 거의 유사하였다. 이온성 액체[emim][TfO]에 대한 $H_2S$$CH_4$의 용해도를 비교한 결과, $H_2S$의 용해도가 $CH_4$의 용해도보다 훨씬 컸다. 동일한 종류의 이온성 액체에 대하여 본 연구를 통해 얻은 $H_2S$$CH_4$의 용해도 데이터를 문헌으로부터 얻은 $CO_2$의 용해도 데이터와 비교하였다. 같은 압력 및 온도 조건에서 비교할 때, $CO_2$의 용해도는 $H_2S$$CH_4$의 용해도의 사이에 있었다.

이산화탄소 분리를 위한 이온성 액체 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate/Al2O3 복합체 분리막 (1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate/Al2O3 Composite Membrane for CO2 Separation)

  • 이산화탄소 분리를 위해 이온성 액체/금속 산화물 복합막이 제조되었으며, 이온성 액체로서 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ($BMIM^+BF_4{^-}$)와 금속산화물로서 $Al_2O_3$가 사용되었다. 13 nm의 $Al_2O_3$가 이온성 액체 $BMIM^+BF_4{^-}$에 도입되었을 때, 복합체 분리막의 성능은 $CO_2/N_2$ 선택도 30.5과 $CO_2$ 투과도 45.7 GPU로 관찰되었다. neat $BMIM^+BF_4{^-}$ 분리막의 성능($CO_2/N_2$ 선택도 5와 $CO_2$ 투과도 17 GPU)에 비해서 성능이 증가한 이유는 $Al_2O_3$의 옥사이드 층과 이온성 액체 내 자유로운 이온농도의 상승으로 인해 $CO_2$ 용해도가 상승한 것으로 확인되었다. 특히 $Al_2O_3$ 나노입자는 질소 기체에 대해서 장애물로서 작용함으로써 질소기체의 투과도가 감소하여 결과적으로 이산화탄소 분리 성능은 급격히 증가하였다.

Preparation and Stability Evaluation of Docetaxel-Loaded Oral Liposome

  • Docetaxel-loaded liposomes were prepared by emulsion-solvent evaporation method, then coated with chitosan at room temperature and lyophilized. This system was designed in order to improve solubility and stability of docetaxel in the GI tract for oral drug delivery. The solubilizing effect of some frequently used solubilizers and/or liposome was determined. Among the results docetaxel-loaded liposomes prepared with 0.5% TPGS as a solubilizer showed 100-fold higher solubility than docetaxel. In a stability test, mean particle size of different liposome formulations was measured by a particle size analyzer in simulated gastric fluid (SGF) and in simulated intestinal fluid (SIF). The particle size of uncoated liposomes was significantly increased compared with that of chitosan-coated liposomes in SGF, however, there was no significant difference between coated and uncoated liposome in SIF. It is evident that chitosan-coated liposomes were more stable in GI conditions. The release characteristics of docetaxel-loaded liposomes were also investigated in three buffer solutions (pH 1.2, 4.0, 6.8). Docetaxel release did not occur in pH 1.2 for 4 hrs. However, in pH 4.0 and 6.8 conditions, docetaxel was gradually released over 24 hrs as a sustained release. It seems that aggregation and precipitation of particles by electrostatic interaction might protect docetaxel from being released. In Conclusion, the results from this study show that the chitosan-coated liposomes may be useful in enhancing solubility and GI stability of docetaxel.

초임계유체를 이용한 당 에스테르의 합성 및 분리정제

  • 지방산제거방법으로 초임계 이산화탄소를 이용하고자 지방산의 초임계 이산화탄소에 대한 용해도률 조사하였다. 추출온도와 압력을 실험변수로 하여 각 지방산의 용해도를 측정한 결과 $35-50^{\circ}C$, 80-120atm의 범위에서 초임계추출이 이루어졌으며, oleic acid의 용해도는 약 1.7x10-4 mole/mole of $CO_2$이었다. 당 에스테르의 효소적합 성공정으로 초임계법을 적용하였는 바, 반응시간 24시간 후 약 67%의 전환율을 얻을 수 있었다.

도자기 유약용 wagnerite의 합성 및 발색원소의 영향 (Substitutions of coloring ions and their effects on wagnerite pigments for cetamic glazes)

  • 치환에 의한 wagnerite의 색상변화 및 고용체 형성한계를 살펴보기 위해 wagnerite ($A_2XO_4Z$)를 합성한후 각 구성원소들을 치환하였다. Ca-wagnerite의 Ca 대신에 Mg, Co, Ni, Cu로 치환하여 용해도가 한정된 고용체를 얻었다. 이들 중 (Mg,Ca)-wagnerite와 (Co,Ca)-wagnerite의 경우에만 단일상의 wagnerite를 합성하였으며 이들의 색상은 각각 백색과 자주색이었다. 그 외의 조성 및 (Ni,Ca)-wagnerite와 (Cu,Ca)-wagnerite의 경우에는 여러상이 혼재해 있는 것으로 나타났다. $A^{5+}$자리에 Li을 치환해 보았으며 또한 $X^{5+}$대신 V을 치환하여 진한 자주 및 금색, 옅은 노란색의 wagnerite를 합성하였으며, Z- 대신 Cl을 치환한 경우 단일상의 wagnerite을 얻지 못하였다.
