Ginsenosides Inhibit N-, p-, arid Q-types but not L-type of $Ca^{2+}$ Channel in Bovine Chromaffin cells

  • 앞의 연구에서 우리는 진세노사이드가 신경세포에 존재하는 high-threshold voltage-dependent $Ca^{2+}$ channel을 억제한다는 것을 발표하였다. 그러나, 이러한 연구는 진세노사이드가 여러 칼슘 채널subtypes중 어느 특정 칼슘 채널만을 선택적으로 조절한다는 것을 보여주지는 않았다. 따라서 이 연구에서 우리는 여러 칼슘 채널subtypes에 선택적으로 작용하는 약물 혹은 toxins을 이용하여 진세노사이드가 어느 종류의 칼슘 채널 subtypes를 억제하는가를 bovine chromaffin cell을 이용하여 연구하였다. 사용한 물질은nimodipine(L-type 칼슘 채널 길항제), $\omega$-conotoxin GVIA (N-type $Ca^{2+}$ channel 길항제), $\omega$-agatoxin IVA(P-type 칼슘 채널 길항제)이었다. 연구 결과 진세노사이드는 bovine chromaffin 세포에 존재하는 high-threshold 칼슘 current을 투여 농도별로 억제하였다. $IC_{50}$/은 약 120 $\mu$g/ml인 것으로 나타났다. nimodipine은 진세노사이드에 의한 칼슘 currents억제 작용에 영향을 미치지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나, $\omega$-conotoxin GVIA, $\omega$-agatoxin IVA 및 nimodipine+$\omega$-conotoxin GVIA+$\omega$-agatoxin IVA을 처리한 세포에서는 진세노사이드에 의한 칼슘 currents억제 작용이 현저하게 줄어 들었다. 이러한 연구 결과들은 진세노사이드가 L-type 칼슘 채널은 억제하지 않고, 주로 N-, p-, 및 Q-type칼슘 채널을 억제한다는 것을 보여주고 있다

$\Omega$-형 벨로즈관의 성형을 위한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Analysis for Forming $\Omega$-type Bellows)

  • The purpose of the study is to form $\Omega$-type bellows without any defect by specific rollers which are designed based on the volume distribution technique. In the present paper, we proposed a forming process of existing U-type bellows to a value-added $\Omega$-type in a progressive manner. It was developed to shape a perfect $\Omega$-type bellows after preforming from initial U-type bellows to final U-type bellows. To examine the suggested 'processing condition design' some experiments were performed in a real scale. It was found out that the spring back effect played a major role in deviating the geometry of formed bellows from the predicted one. The problems found in the experiment can be used as important information in manufacturing equipment for forming $\Omega$-type bellows.

과산화수소를 이용한 몰리브덴(Mo) 용해 반응과 이에대한 청정기술 개발에 관한 연구 (A clean technology development and the molybdenum dissolution reaction with hydrogen peroxide)

  • The advantages of hydrogen peroxide dissolution method were no discharge of noxious matter when dissolution of molybdenum wire which used as the center supporter, reactions occur in room temperature. The results were as follows : 1. In the FL/10-A type: Dissolution-reaction Time was 50Min., C.R.(Coil resistance) was $9.27{\Omega}(St.{\;}:{\;}9.2{\pm}0.22{\Omega})$, P.W.(Piece weight) was $10.59mg(St.{\;}:{\;}10.5{\pm}0.26mg)$. In the FL/15-D type: Dissolution-reaction Time was 55Min., C.R. was $6.39{\Omega}(St.{\;}:{\;}6.38{\pm}0.02{\Omega})$, P.W. was $16.7mg(St.{\;}:{\;}16.5{\pm}0.3mg)$. In the FL/20-H type: Dissolution-reaction Time was 45Min., C.R. was $4.7{\Omega}(St.{\;}:{\;}4.6{\pm}0.3{\Omega})$, P.W. was $20.8mg(St.{\;}:{\;}20{\pm}1.5mg)$. In the FL/20-C type: Dissolution-reaction Time was 60Min., C.R. was $4.5{\Omega}(St.{\;}:{\;}4.6{\pm}0.3{\Omega})$, P.W. was $19.8mg(St.{\;}:{\;}19{\pm}1.0mg)$. 2. In the GLS-230/40-B type: Dissolutiona-reaction Time was 45Min., C.R. was $105.1{\Omega}(St.{\;}:{\;}104{\pm}2.6{\Omega})$, P.W was $6.37mg(St.{\;}:{\;}6.3{\pm}0.16mg)$. In the GLS-230/60-F type: Dissolution- reaction Time was 45Min., C.R. was $65.92{\Omega}(St.{\;}:{\;}65{\pm}1.62{\Omega})$, P.W. was $11.91mg(St.{\;}:{\;}11.8{\pm}0.29mg)$.

The combination of canagliflozin and omega-3 fatty acid ameliorates insulin resistance and cardiac biomarkers via modulation of inflammatory cytokines in type 2 diabetic rats

  • The present study was carried out with the hypothesis that combination of canagliflozin and omega-3 fatty acid may have potential effect on insulin level, insulin resistance, cardiac biomarkers, inflammatory cytokines and histological studies in type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM). Type 2 DM was induced by injecting nicotinamide (120 mg/kg, i.p.) 15 min before STZ (60 mg/kg) injection. Canagliflozin (5 and 10 mg/kg) and omega-3 fatty acid (300 mg/kg) were given for 28 days after confirmation of diabetes. Biochemical estimations revealed elevated levels of glucose, insulin, HOMA-R and inflammatory cytokines in diabetic group. Daily dosing of alone canagliflozin and omega-3 fatty acid slightly reduced elevated levels of glucose, insulin, HOMA-R and inflammatory cytokines ($IL-1{\beta}$, IL-2, and $TNF{\alpha}$), whereas canagliflozin and omega-3 fatty acid combination has reduced these biochemical parameters significantly when compared with diabetic group. Similarly in diabetic group the levels of cardiac biomarkers such as lipid profile, LDH, CKMB and troponin were significantly increased. Elevated levels of cardiac biomarkers were significantly reduced after daily dosing of alone canagliflozin and omega-3 fatty acid. Canagliflozin and omega-3 fatty acid combination has offered better improvement in cardiac biomarkers compared to alone canagliflozin and omega-3 fatty acid. Histopathological analysis also supported the above hypothesis that combination therapy (canagliflozin and omega-3 fatty acid) offered better protection against degenerative changes in ${\beta}-cells$ of pancreas as compared to alone treatment with these drugs. Thus the present study revealed that canagliflozin and omega-3 fatty acid can be used as potential combination therapy in type 2 DM along with cardiac complication.

  • Let D be an integral domain, ${\ast}$ a star-operation on D, and S a (not necessarily saturated) multiplicative subset of D. In this article, we prove the Cohen type theorem for $S-{\ast}_{\omega}$-principal ideal domains, which states that D is an $S-{\ast}_{\omega}$-principal ideal domain if and only if every nonzero prime ideal of D (disjoint from S) is $S-{\ast}_{\omega}$-principal.

Using variational method, we obtain some existence and multiplicity results for such problem in two cases when the weight function V (x) may change sign or not.

ω-INTERPOLATIVE CONTRACTIONS IN BIPOLAR METRIC SPACES

  • In this paper, we shall introduce the new notions of ω-orbital admissible mappings, ω-interpolative Kannan type contraction and ω-interpolative Ciric-Reich-Rus type contraction. In the setting of these new contractions, we will prove some fixed point theorems in bipolar metric spaces. Some existing results from literature are also deduced from our main results. Some examples are also provided to illustrate the theorems.

  • In the tungsten industry as light source material, tungsten filament which used as light source material could form after molybdenumwire which used as the center supporter for coil shape tungsten wire was removed.
