The Korean government has recently implemented the public policy, so-called the Dormitory-based Public High-School Operation. The policy aims at providing the community-based high-quality education for the high-school students in the regional areas including agricultural, sea-side, and mountainous territories. Since the schools will be open for 24 hours a day during a whole year, they need to develop educational programs after regular school hours and violence prevention systems to maintain stable surroundings for study. In doing so, it is required for the schools to set up a systematic dormitory operation & administration program reflecting the demands of the dormitory users. Most of the schools, however, have not experienced operating a dormitory, thereby do not have any clues to successfully build the dormitory system. The main objective of this research is not only to provide the information on the demands of the dormitory users and their concerns with the demands but also to suggest guidelines to better build the system through conducting questionnaire survey to the students in a currently operated dormitory-based high-school.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the plan formation for university dormitory's living unit by the modular unit of the pre-fabricated architecture, Pursuing this, this study conducts the investigation of present domestic situation of prefabricated construction and practices plan formation for living unit concentrating on the dweller's satisfaction by solving the problems which hitherto constructed dormitory had, especially collapse of dweller's territoriality. Consequently, this study presents the feasibility of modular unit of present prefabricated construction as a new method of dormitory's living unit construction, and suggests the pertinent plan formation for the improvement of the dweller's territoriality.

Biotope area rate and ecological environment planning for school campuses are closely related, and we can say that ecological environment of a school that has high biotope area rate is of high ecological value. Taking that into account, in this paper, we are going to have a look at the relationship between the elements of ecological environment plan for environment-friendly schools and the biotope area rate, and we are going to come up with a method how we can increase ecological value of ecological environment and biotope area rate in a school campus through analyzing the actual biotope area rate of certified environmental-friendly schools.

This study is purposed to find out practical problems, explore possible changes and provide qualitative development and development policies of elementary school physical education facilities and training aids. The following is concluded through three rounds of Delphi questionnaires. First, the highest possible change is predicted in that obsolete sports facilities should be replaced and various training aids be purchased. Second, gyms should be established for ensuring indoor sports space and indoor sports facilities should be expanded. Third, modernization and advancement of sports facilities and training aids should be implemented by attracting private investment. Fourth, sports facilities at schools and communities should be exchanged for free. Fifth, sports facilities in the school playground should be diversified for physical education classes by putting play ground facilities in good conditions. Sixth, it is predicted that a sound distribution system can be established for ensuring creative, strong sports facilities and training aids. A department may take full responsibility of buying sports materials and establish an alternative idea for cooperative buying.

This study was made in order to provide the groundwork for the revised 7th education curriculum of primary and secondary education's facility criterion. Throughout this study, in which we may accomodate the new education curriculum, we prepare the guide for the standard criterion of the school systems in order to reflect the flexibility of various dictinctive regional education conditions and school qualities considering the purpose of new standard criterion of school facilities. Below is the summary of the study. Regular classroom's standard size, which is the basic module for the scale of the educational institution, accomodates current standards. Number of students per class is aimed to fit the standard number of the level of OECD member countries' in order to prepare for the future ; that is, 30 students in primary, secondary and high school to be the standard number of student per class, depending on the district conditions and construction point of time. It is advised that the number of extracurricular classrooms, according to the standard criterion of subject and hour allotment, to reflect the regional and institution's distinctive qualities by indicating the number of hours and classrooms including decimal points. That is to be done so that the founder and the interested parties of the institution, along with the architect can put to practical use when planning and designing the institution.
