This research proposed the space planing methode and diagrams of restaurant kitchens to improve hygiene by analyzing the related contents collected from books and researches in interior design and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point). HACCP is an effective and scientific hygiene system for food safety in order to prevent cross-contamination from food hazards. Based on the analyses, improvement of food production environments like restaurant kitchens is necessary for food hygiene. The space planing methode of restaurant kitchens to improve hygiene are followings: The circulation planing is that the direction of movement of the food, workers, waste, and dishes should be fractionated and managed for cross-contamination prevention. The space separation planing is that the spaces in the kitchen should be classified and divided into contaminated area and non-contaminated and clean area depending on the degree of cleanliness. The zoning is space arrangement with feed-back process to check the possible points of cross-contamination and correct space arrangement until the possibility of cross-contamination disappear in kitchen. However, if cross-contamination is unavoidable in some points in restaurant kitchens, hygiene facilities such as washing rooms, pass rooms, and double doors with air-shower should be located in order to remove contamination.

The purpose of this study is to develop design quality indicator for improvement of public architecture in Korea. The spatial scope of the study which sees limited at 'domestic public buildings'. The study contents scope is to develop design quality indicator to use design phase and evaluation of 'public buildings'. For this design quality indicator, we have analysed various domestic and international institutions associated with architecture design. And, design indicator for the possibility of application in public buildings were extracted. Through this work design quality indicator specific and objective was drawn. The results of this study 8 category were drawn 'Public', 'Harmony', 'Impact', 'Access', 'Landscape', 'Use', 'Sustainable', 'Technology'. Also, 29 Design quality Indicator were suggested. Finally, this study was developed by utilizing Design Quality Indicator can be utilized in the design phase, the evaluation process should be developed.

In order to cope with the demands of the rapidly changing society, advanced countries enrolled in OECD have been establishing corresponding directions as integrating their fields in economy, society, and education as one system. To be a part of the international changes, Korea has presented "Mixed-Use of schools and community facilities." "Mixed-Use of schools and community facilities" enables schools to expand necessary facilities, which were not secured due to insufficient budget, through community funding. Communities could not secure enough convenient facilities because they did not have enough sites for the facilities; however, school sites have made the communities possible to have facilities. As a result, the demand for "Mixed-Use of schools and community facilities" has increased. Therefore, this study redefines the concept of the Mixed-Use of School Facilities in the perspective of the main users, researches the current state of the Mixed-Use of School Facilities through case studies in Korea, and intends to research preferences of the synthesis through surveys. In addition, the study proposes the proper size and the standard of the facilities that are possible to synthesize them with schools. In the future, in running this Mixed-Use of School Facilities business, the data from this study can be utilized.

As the development of construction technology and new materials, building requirements has been varied gadually. Comfortable environment and serviceability of production activity and energy conservation are being dealt with very seriously. Recently localization of engineering technology of Power Plant, however, construction materials and domestic technology are being developed forcingly. According to above topics this thes is going to study roof waterproofing, thermal insulation and evaluate adiabatic performance and evaluation of properties of waterproofing materials and energy conservation. The results of studying and evaluating of roof waterproofing, thermal insulation and adiabatic performance of Power Plant are as follows. 1. Sheet waterproofing method is better than that of asphalt waterproofing method in that adaptability of wearhertight, thermal resistant, contraction and expansion. 2. It is required to replace polyurethane or ethylene used as thermal insulation with rock wool which is noncombustible materials. 3. It is recommended to usd outer insulation method than inner insulation method due to superioty of outer insulation method. Efficiency of insulation materials used in power plant is generally good except perlite mortar used in the power plant(YGN 1-2, GRI 1-2).

Thanks to the historic sites, the identity of historical landscape of Gyeongju is definitely recognized. When explaining, in other words, the identity of urban scape, we have to know the characteristics of landscape with the changes of the times. Therefore this study is tried to understand the urban scape form and meaning of the historic city Gyeongju, futhermore to find out the identity of urban scape, catching hold of the characteristics of landscape by periods. The research was proceeded through the classifying the concept of Urban form by periods and the basic ideology and adopting the representative landscape at that time with the literatures and maps in the Silla period. And then tried to find out the identity of landscape with the link between the concepts of the representative landscape and that of Urban form in chronological order. The results of this study is relativeness between city and natural environment, type of the Grid - Pattern on urban form, basic ideals were inspired by Buddhism.

The purpose of this study is to propose an integrated curriculum for architectural studio in university to implement BIM process. There have been several BIM education methods occurred in school, but most of them are not successive courses but independent events. To integrate BIM into architectural curriculum successfully, it needs continuous and gradual approach. This study is proceeded by the research of precedent and analysis of key factors in foreign school program. Also fundamental objectives of the current domestic architectural curriculum are categorized to match the BIM process and functionality. As a result of this study, the new architectural design education process integrated with milestone of BIM tool is proposed.

The purpose of this research is to analyze a case study of the applicability of BIM concept in architectural engineering design education of 4-year architectural engineering program under ABEEK accreditation. The research method is to introduce a case of architectural engineering design studio and to compare the satisfaction of outcome between BIM S/W and conventional design process. The survey outcome reveals that the satisfaction of BIM S/W is relatively higher than the satisfaction of drawings by hands. The design education outcome is analyzed according the characteristics of expression, revision, relationship, and spatial understanding, etc.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the emotional characteristics of community space with recently constructed apartment complexes. The designated subjects of this research are located in Dongtan the first New Town, with 500 to 1000 households and constructed as single buildings for community space are 14 apartment. The results are as follows: 1)The space for day care planned for children's emotional comfort and stability measured by symbolizing image of nature. Also, allowing children to recognize their own space by decorating the walls with the works of themselves and their friends was shown to break down extraneous feelings against other spaces, and allow intimacy for spaces. 2)The space for the aged was shown to give a secure and friendly feeling by considering the psychological and physical traits of the elderly. It can replenish the depressed bodies of aged people with vigor and stimulate their emotion. 3)The space for indoor exercise utilized various visual facilities, such as graphics and images, to bring out specific areas and create affiliation in stimulating the emotion of residents.

Lighting simulation is becoming increasingly more important as a method for design and evaluation. There is a wide range of packages that provide the accuracy and the usability in lighting simulation. Relux developed by Relux Informatik AG, Switzerland, Relux offers users innovative and high-performance light planning software with open interfaces and simultaneous access to the latest product data from luminaire and lamp manufacturers. The goals of this report is to explore some of the lighting simulation issues relating to Relux. It is hoped that it will provide some background information that will enable a designer and engineer to make some informed judgements on the potential of the current state-of-the-art in computer prediction of lighting in buildings and how this may be used to assist in building design.

This study is to concern about the effort of architectural practice to realize the sustainable architecture. It is necessary to know about the integrated design method which combines the passive design method with the active design method from the initial design phase. One case study is followed to explain the method. Integrated design starts from defining the project and goal setting, site evaluation, design concept, design optimization, documents and specifications, bidding and construction and post occupancy evaluation followed respectively. In order to construct the sustainable design, sophisticated understanding about nature and its' principle is important and adaptable application of nature and climate depending on location is followed. In conclusion, architects and specialists of sustainable design should make an effort more study.
