  • In this paper, we propose the algorithm for generating the array of elemental image by using look-up table (L UT) in a computer generated integral imaging system. It makes the LUT independently for the projection point of x and y. The algorithm using LUT to the existing ones needs less computing time to generate the array of elemental image. By comparing the computing time of proposed algorithm with that of the existing algorithms e xperimently, we proved the efficiency of proposed algorithm.

  • Welding systems cannot adapt to changes in the joint geometry which may occur due to a variety of reason. Automatic seam tracking technigue is essential to adjust the welding torch position in real time as it moves along the seam. Automatic tracking system must keep the welding speed constant unrelation to the change of the welding path. Therefore, the information from the laser displacement sensor must be converted into the input to operate the X-Y table and to rotate the desired torch position by proposed algorithm. In this research, laser displacement sensor is used as a seam finder in the automatic tracking system. X-Y moving table manipulated by ac servo motor controls the position and velocity of the torch-and-sensor part. DC motor controls the position and velocity of the torch. X-Y table controls the position of sensor and relative position of torch is controlled by dc motor which is mounted at sensor-and-torch part. Sensor is always ahead of torch to preview the weld line. From the experimental results, we could see the possiblity that the laser displacement sensor can be used as a seam finder in welding process and that the seam tracking system controlled by proposed algorithm is well done.

  • In this paper, we implement and verify XMIP integrating IETF Mobile IP and the Explicit Multicast mechanism for a great number of small group multicast communications. U a source node sends Xcast packets explicitly inserting destination nodes into the headers, each Xcast router decides routes and forwards the packets toward each destination node based on unicast routing table without the support of multicast trees. n is a straightforward and simple multicast mechanism just based on a unicast routing table without maintaining multicast states because of the inheritance from the Explicit Multicast mechanism. This research modifies and extends the functionality of IETF Mobile IP's mobility agents, such as HA/FA to HA+/FA+ respectively, considering interworking with Xcast networks. Xcast packets captured by HA+ are forwarded into X-in-X tunnel interfaces for each FA+ referred to the binding table of HA.. This X-in-X tunneling mechanism can effectively solve the traffic concentration problem of IETF Mobile IP multicast services. Finally WLAN-based testbed is built and a multi-user Instant messenger system is developed as a Xcast application for finally verify the feasibility of the implemented XMIP/Xcast protocols.

  • In this paper, micro step driving method is used for a high performance motion control and minimizing of vibration in a industrial X-Y table. By using a mathmetical analysis method of 2 phase Hybrid-type step motor, each phase current can be optimized about unit speed and torque. We can improve the electrical and mechnical driving charicteristic of machine by applying this proposed driver to the real plant using microprocessor.

  • The results of the scattery distribution in the fluoroscopy X-ray room were as follows. When the measurement was done at the same height with the table, measured value was 0.78 mGy/min ~ 0.04 mGy/min (95%) within 50 cm and 250 cm. At 50 cm below the table, it was 0.17 mGy/min ~ 0.02mGy/min (86%) and at 50 cm above the table was 1.37 mGy/min ~ 0.05 mGy/min (96%), displaying a decrease. At the same time, the amount of rays were reduced in 50 ~ 60% at the same height with the table than the location 50 cm above the table, 90~95% of reduction rate was observed at 50 cm below the table. For the collimator, comparing to the case when it was completely open, the amount of ray was reduced from 0.78 mGy/min to 0.16 mGy/min at 50cm away and 0.04 mGy/min to 0.01 mGy/min at 250cm away thus approximately 80% on average was reduced when the collimator was reduced to 25%. Comparing with the case when there was a object on the table, the amount of scatter ray was reduced by 96.7% at every location when there is not a object on the table.

  • In this paper, we develop a six-axes machining center tool(MCT) and CAD/CAM system based RAD Tool Program. The MCT consists of two mechanical parts, i.e., a X-Y-Z Cartesian coordinate typed MCT and a parallel-typed tilting table. Kinematics and singularity are accomplished to design the parallel-typed tilting table, and RAD Tool Program Is developed for the six-axes MCT, which requires the commands of position as well as orientation for machining of complex shape. In RAD Tool, the CAD/CAM system has a tool path generator, NC code generator and a graphic simulator. This paper designs the parallel-typed tilting table to meet the desired specification and presents the results of CAD/CAM system based RAD Tool Program.

  • We consider the poisson equation where the functions involved are periodic including the solution function. Let $R=[0,1]{\times}[0,l]{\times}[0,1]$ be the region of interest and let $\phi$(x,y,z) be an arbitrary periodic function defined in the region R such that $\phi$(x,y,z) satisfies $\phi$(x+1, y, z)=$\phi$(x, y+1, z)=$\phi$(x, y, z+1)=$\phi$(x,y,z) for all x,y,z. We describe a very simple method for solving the equation ${\nabla}^2u(x, y, z)$ = $\phi$(x, y, z) based on the cubic spline interpolation of u(x, y, z); using the requirement that each interval [0,1] is a multiple of the period in the corresponding coordinates, the Laplacian operator applied to the cubic spline interpolation of u(x, y, z) can be replaced by a square matrix. The solution can then be computed simply by multiplying $\phi$(x, y, z) by the inverse of this matrix. A description on how the storage of nearly a Giga byte for $20{\times}20{\times}20$ nodes, equivalent to a $8000{\times}8000$ matrix is handled by using the fuzzy rule table method and a description on how the shape preserving property of the Laplacian operator will be affected by this approximation are included.

  • Servohydraulic shaking tables are being increasingly used in the field of earthquake engineering. They play a critical role in the advancement of the research state and remain one of the valuable tools for seismic testing. Recently, the National Earthquake Engineering Research Center, CGS, has acquired a 6.1m x 6.1 m shaking table system which has a six degree-of-freedom testing capability. The maximum specimen mass that can be tested on the shaking table is 60 t. This facility is designed specially for testing a complete civil engineering structures, substructures and structural elements up to collapse or ultimate limit states. It can also be used for qualification testing of industrial equipments. The current paper presents the main findings of the experimental shake-down characterization testing of the CGS shaking table. The test program carried out in this study included random white noise and harmonic tests. These tests were performed along each of the six degrees of freedom, three translations and three rotations. This investigation provides fundamental parameters that are required and essential while elaborating a realistic model of the CGS shaking table. Also presented in this paper, is the numerical model of the shaking table that was established and validated.
