  • Objective & Method : We investigated the identity of chilsonparik which is written in Hwangjenaekyung and claimed by traditional scholars, and drew the following conclusions. Result & Conclusion : The word "Chilsonparik"(七損八益) is written in Hwangjenaekyung(黃帝內經). However the exact meaning of "Chilsonparik" doesn't appear in the Hwangjenaekyung so several scholars were studying to find out its true meaning. In 1973, a book "Cheonhajidodam"(天下至道談) was unearthed in the mawangtoe Han Tomb in Hunan province. This book "Cheonhajidodam" had a detailed description of "Chilsonparik", and its contents were similar to those of the "Hwangjenaekyung". In this sense, the sentences of "Hwangjenaekyung" is likely to have copied the contents of "Cheonhajidodam" or have quoted the same book, which makes it possible to interpret "Chilsonparik" in the "Hwangjenaekyung" relying on the description of "Chilsonparik" from the "Cheonhajidodam". Based on "Cheonhajidodam" the "Chilson" refers to "Seven ways of sexual intercourse that bring harm to the human body" and "Parik" refers to "Eight ways of sexual intercourse that bring benefit to the human body". The description of "Chilsonparik" in "Cheonhajidodam" is way more specific than the interpretation of the posterity scholars of the later generations. It is a also seen that the contents of the "Cheonhajidodam is appropriate as the "Hwangjenaekyung" depicts the "Chilsonparik" in concrete acts and ways. It is thought that the explanation of "Cheonhajidodam" gave correct answers to the "Chilsonparik" that was left as a question for us.

  • This study was aimed to understand the structures of preservice secondary school teachers' alternative conceptions on radioactive isotopes in the interior of earth. The structure of their conceptions were analyzed by the suggestions of Niaz (1988) based on the Lakatosian frameworks. The survey was carried out on a group of seventeen students who were major in science education. The research method was open-ended written questionnaire. The results of this study show that students had apparent alternative conceptions. The high temperature and pressure' explanation for radioactive decay in earth's interior had most import effects on their alternative conceptions. It was also intended to survey their conceptional change by our teaching strategies of the philosophy of science in order to construct science concepts.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the opinions of students by using the text mining to the good points and improvements among the descriptive course evaluation written by the students who participated in the university chemistry laboratory class, and to derive the improvement for the class. We analyzed the frequency of occurrence, co-occurrence and network of key words. As a result of the study, in the network of good points in the class, the most frequent mentions were made between class and professor, along with explanation, understanding, student, passion, fun, TA, experiment, help, etc. In the network of improvements in the class, the most frequent mentions were made between class and student, along with professor, content, explanation, exam, wish, experiment, understanding, difficult, thought, problem, etc. In other words, the students suggested the opinion that the contents of the class were well understood and that they felt fun and satisfied with the experimental process due to 'easy and detailed explanation' and 'TA's assistance' as good points of the class. On the other hand, the students suggested the negative opinions that the understanding and concentration in the class was decreased due to 'difficulty of content and exam', 'excessive assignments', and 'class environment' as improvements of the class.

  • "Gup Yu Bang" is the first Korean book that specialized in pediatrics. It was written by Jo Jeong-jun on the 25th year of King Young Jo in the Choson dynasty. He quoted a lot of information from "Yi-Hak-Yip-Mun" by Yi-cheon in the Myung dynasty and "Xiao Er Yao Zheag Zhi Jue" by Qian Yi in the Song dynasty, but he added his own opinions and clinical experiences to the book. In addition to that, the book explains not only symptoms and prescriptions but also the etiology and pathology of children's diseases. In particular, he showed a great deal of creativity in his book called "Dong Bang Six Fu's Qi Principle" After studying "Gup Yu Bang", I have drawn the following conclusions. 1. Prevention is more important than treatment in pediatrics. 2. When we make a diagnosis, facial inspection has priority. 3. In terms of treatmemt, Wu zang is a general rule. Therefore, we should focus on Wu zang and Pi Wei. 4. The following terms definition symptom cause prescription clinical example prevention are to be explained with reference to the nature or symptoms of the disease. 5. We can see that smallpox was more widspread than the measles in the period of King Young Jo. 6. Even though he was influenced by "Yi-Hak-Yip-Mun", "Xiao Er Yao Zheag Zhi Jue", and "Dong eui bo gam", his own explanation is clearer in his book called "Gup Yu Bang" which is based on his own clinical experiences. 7. "Gup Yu Bang" is a practical and experiential book.

For this purpose, an experiment, of which the participants were 29 college sophomores taking a course in business English, was made. The learners received instruction in the English nouns followed by modificatory phrases or clauses through the focus-on-form techniques, feedback and explicit explanation. The results were as follows: First, the learners who received focus-on-form instruction improved accuracy in writing. Second, there was a correlation between the learners' English proficiency levels and the effects of focus-on-form instruction. Third, the high level learners showed more positive attitude toward focus-on-form instruction than the low level ones. To promote accuracy in written business communication, the following suggestions were made on the basis of the results: First, focus-on-form instruction should be incorporated into a content-based business English class. Second, repeated focus-on-form instruction is needed. Third, learners' English proficiency levels should be taken into account when focus-on-form instruction is given.

  • Objective : Through the comparison of the Eumyang(陰陽) theory between Hwangjenaegyeong(黃帝內經) and Juyeok(周易) Gyesajeon(繫辭傳) written by Gongja(孔子), the philosophical background of Hwangjenaegyeong(黃帝內經) and the position of Eumyang theory in the ancient academic society can be clearly understood. Method : The similarities and differences of the Eumyang theory in Hwangjenaegyeong(黃帝內經) and Juyeok(周易) Gyesajeon(繫辭傳) are categorized and analyzed comparing both texts. Results & Conclusion : Hwangjenaegyeong(黃帝內經) and Juyeok(周易) all recognized Eumyang movement as the most important and basic principle of the change of the universe. In the relationship between Eum(陰) and Yang(陽), the key of harmonization of them is to keep and practice the virtue of each others. The plentiful expression of Juyeok(周易) Gyesajeon(繫辭傳) about the relationship of Eumyang is helpful to understand and apply the concepts of Eumyang to daily life. The other hand, Hwangjenaegyeong(黃帝內經) as medical text, concentrates upon the explanation about the movement and circulation of Gi(氣) between Eum and Yang.

  • This study lists the vocabulary of the inscriptions on SeoGwol-YeongGeon-DoGam-UiGwe(西闕營建都監儀軌 1831). This study also deciphers and explains the meanings of them. In advance, this study compares them with the vocabulary of the national language in the middle ages and in modem times. There are two important missions in deciphering a transcription marking of the architectural vocabulary of UiGwe(儀軌). One is to gain an understanding of the reading method of transcription marking and the other is an explanation of what that means. As a result, we can correctly understand the UiGwe(儀軌) written in transcription marks. If we could decipher the transcription markings of the documents as it is, we cannot only recover plenty of vocabulary related with characteristic architecture in the age of the later Joseon Dynasty, but also correct wrongly used vocabulary in the present. As a result, we can standardize and adjust the vocabulary use of Korean traditional architecture. In advance, we can correct errors of spelling and mistaken explanations in the Korean Encyclopedia.
