기혼여성 재택근문자와 직장근무자의 식생활 가사노동시간에 관한 비교연구 (Comparison of the Time Spent on Household Work between Married Female Home-based Workers and On-site Workers: Focused on the Domain of Food)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the amount of the household work time related to food and examine the factors affecting the time accomplished by married female home-based workers and on-site workers. The data were collected from 165 married female home-based workers, and 292 married female on-site workers in Pusan and Kyungnam province, by the self-administered questionnaire. frequency distributions, Cronbach's alpha, t-tests, Pearson's correlations, and multiple regression analyses were conducted by SPSS/PC+. The major findings of this study were as follows: (1) both married female home-based and on-site workers spent more time on household work related to food in a weekend than in a weekday, (2) in a weekday, occupation was significantly related to the amount of time that married female home-based workers spent on food household work, whereas age and occupation were significant for married female on-site workers, (3) on Saturday, the significant factors of the time spent on food household work were the number of family and occupation for married female home-based workers, and educational level, occupation, sex role attitude, existence of children of 6 years or under, and existence of elders/disability within the family for married female on-site workers, and (4) on Sunday, for married female home-based workers, the number of family, occupation, and the level of market good substitution had significant effects on the amount of time spent on food household work, and for married female on-site workers, age, the number of family, occupation, sex role attitude, work hours on Sunday, and the level of market good substitution were significant.

독일 가족정책의 현황과 젠더적 성격 (German Family Policy in Gender Perspective)

  • 본 연구는 독일 가족정책의 젠더적 성격을 파악하기 위해 가족정책의 실천영역을 가족의 임금노동과 양육노동의 지원으로 제한하고 현금, 시간, 보육인프라로 구분하여 분석해 보았다. 그리고 정책의 결과로 나타나는 출산율과 여성취업률의 변화를 살펴보았다. 독일은 가족과 아동에 대한 사회복지지출비용 중 현금급여의 비중이 유럽 내의 국가들 중 상위집단에 속하면서도 아동수당의 보수적 지향성과 부모시간 기간의 양육수당의 적절성 측면에서 임금대체의 수준이 낮아 성분업의 유지가능성이 여전히 완화되지 않고 있었다. 그리고 0-2세 아동에 대한 공보육 지원의 수준이 낮아 노동자의 가족과 직장의 양립에 있어 양 영역의 순차적 양립은 가능하나 동시적인 병행이 불가능한 성분업적 특질이 형성되고 있었다. 따라서 앞으로는 소득수준과 연동하여 현금급여체계를 재구성하고, 노동시장모델 또한 개인노동자모델로 전환하여 근로자로서의 부모의 양육욕구를 젠더적 관점에서 담아낼 수 있는 시간정책과 보육인프라정책의 강화가 요구되고 있었다.

  • 한국사회에서 나타나는 저출산 현상이 심화 됨에 따라 일·가정양립을 위한 가정친화적 인사제도의 도입 및 확대를 위한 정부 차원의 다양한 정책이 시도되었다. 저출산의 주요 원인으로는 여성의 경제활동 참여 증가와 일·가정양립의 어려움이 가장 우선적으로 지목되고 있다. 여성정책의 일환으로 가정친화적 제도, 유연근무제 등 다각적인 차원에서 지원정책이 개진 되었지만 저출산의 대안으로 큰 효과를 보지 못하였다. 사회 전반적으로 저출산 현상이 미치는 부정적 영향과 파장이 커서, 공공기관을 중심으로 조직문화개선을 위한 새로운 시각의 접근법이 요구되고 있다. 이에 사회적 조직내에서의 가정친화적 제도가 갖는 의미는 시사점이 크다. 이런 시각에서 가정친화정책의 일환으로 시도된 유연근무제 등 적용되고 있는 제도의 현황을 공공기관 중심으로 파악하였다. 본 연구에서는 문헌고찰 방법을 중심으로 기존에 적용된 제도의 현황 비교를 통해 함의를 도출하였다. 가정친화정책은 제도개선의 필요성과 확장 차원에서 사회 환경변화에 맞춰 지속성을 갖고 이루어져야 할 것이다.

자아존중감이 노인 우울에 미치는 영향 : 가족관계만족도와 근로유형의 조절된 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Effect of Self-esteem on Elderly Depression : Moderated Mediation Effects of Family Relations Satisfaction and Working Types)

  • Object: This study investigated the effect of self-esteem on depression through family relations satisfaction and tested whether working types would moderate such associations. Method: The subjects were 2,145 elderly who are healthy enough to work and were selected for the ninth Korean Welfare Panel Study. The resulting data were analysed by using the statistical program SPSS 2.1 with reference to steps for testing mediation by Baron and Kenny, moderated mediation by Heyes. Results: Self-esteem has both direct and indirect significant effects, revealing that family relations satisfaction fully mediates the effects of coping strategies of family conflict on depression. From the working types, self-employed/employer and unpaid family worker, moderate the indirect effect of self-esteem on depression through family relations satisfaction. Conclusions: In practical intervention of elderly depression reduction, efforts to increase family relations satisfaction is effective when it is difficult to us address satisfaction. Moreover, we have to provide intervention for elderly with work in context of relationship of individual and familial factor.

직장보육시설을 이용하는 여성근로자들의 일-가정양립갈등과 생활만족 간의 관계: 직무디스트레스의 역할 (Effects of Work-family Role Conflicts on Life Satisfaction for Female Workers using Child Daycare Center in Workplace: Role of Work Distress)

  • 직장 보육시설을 이용하는 여성근로자들을 대상으로 일-가정양립갈등, 생활만족, 직무디스트레스 간의 관계를 살펴본 연구이다. 직장보육시설 여성근로자 137명을 대상으로 조사한 결과 가정직장갈등(FWC)은 직무디스트레스(WDIS)에, 직무디스트레스(WDIS)는 직장가정갈등(WFC)에 정적인 영향을 미치며 통계적으로 유의한 결과를 보였다. 또한 직장가정갈등(WFC)이 높아지면 생활만족(LS)의 수준이 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 결국 가정직장갈등(FWC)은 직무디스트레스(WDIS)를 통한 완전매개경로를 통해 생활만족(LS)에 영향을 미쳤고, 직장가정갈등(WFC)은 직무디스트레스(WIDS)가 생활만족(LS)에 미치는 영향을 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 일-가정양립갈등이 갖는 양방향성(bi-direction)을 충분히 반영하지 않고 생활만족(LS)과의 관계가 단순히 부정적이라고만 밝힌 기존 연구의 한계를 지적하고, 직장가정갈등(WFC), 가정직장갈등(FWC), 직무디스트레스(WDIS) 간의 관계를 구분하여 살펴 봄으로써, 각 갈등의 방향성에 따른 결과를 보다 명확히 하였다는데 의의가 있다. 다만, 연구대상이 직장보육시설을 이용하고 있는 여성근로자들로 한정되어 있어서 일반 여성 근로자들과의 비교를 통한 후속 연구를 제안하였다.

장기적으로 활동한 아이돌보미의 가족 레질리언스 분석: 월시(Walsh)의 관점을 중심으로 (Analysis on Family Resilience of Long-term Childcare Givers: Focused on a Walsh Viewpoint)

  • Childcare related studies have focused on the characteristics of care work, policy aspects, user family satisfaction, and job satisfaction of childcare helpers. But there have been few studies on family system characteristics that support childcare givers. Thus, this study conducted on the topic, "How to characterize the family resilience of long-term childcare givers?" The subjects belong to a healthy family support center in U. City, who belong to a group with an income in the top 20 % of about 20 persons working for more than 3 years. In an interview, qualitative questions were used Walsh's family resilience. The results are as follows. First, they had economic hardship, but their family would stand together and build up a family's power based on the couple's faith. They had a family role model based on their parents' family that included inherited maternity qualities from their mother. Second, the flexibility of the family organization changed to autonomous or co-role type and the connectivity. Especially, they appear as a family's leader. Third, their family communication was active, shared-care, responsible and passionate with family affection and understanding. The conclusions results are as follows. Participants were high school graduates as well as had work experience. They were characterized by positive family energy, a family belief system, family-based resources, flexibility, connectivity, open family communication and expression skills. Therefore, it can be suggested that it is necessary to check the family's resilience during an interview for the reliable, long-term supply of human resources for childcare activities.

중년기 기혼남녀의 가족스트레스, 사회적 지지 자원이 결혼생활만족도에 미치는 영향 (The effects of family stress and social support resources on marital satisfaction among middle-aged married men and women)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose measures for social work practice to enhance the happiness of middle-aged married men and women by identifying the effects of family stress and social support resources (formal and informal support resources) on marital satisfaction among mid-life married couples. Subjects were selected through purposive sampling among married men and women aged between 40 and 59 and living in Seoul City and Gyeonggi province. The study results are follows. First, the average score of family stress was 3.06 points (SD=.56), slightly higher than the median value of 3 points. Of all subscales of family stress, the subjects experienced the most stress from family relationships, followed by financial problems, health and loss of families, and work-family compatibility. In regard to social support resources, the mean value of all social support resources categories was greater than the median. Among the subscales, informal support (family support and support from other people) was found to be higher than formal support. The level of marital satisfaction was higher than the median, and the score was 3.21 points (SD=.78). Second, in order to explore differences in marital satisfaction according to family stress and social support, differences in marital satisfaction were analyzed by grouping subjects who scored high, middle, and low levels of marital satisfaction. According to the results, marital satisfaction was statistically significantly higher in the group that experienced less family stress (F=6.25, p<.01). With respect to social support, marital satisfaction was statistically significantly higher in the group that received high social support (F=29.68, p<.001). Third, according to the analysis of factors affecting marital satisfaction in middle-aged married men and women, subjective economic status, family relationship stress, economic stress, and family support showed statistical significance. The higher the subjective economic status and the lower the family relationship stress and economic stress levels, the higher the marital satisfaction among middle-aged married men and women. In addition, the greater the family support, the higher the marital satisfaction. The results of this study underscore the need to improve family relationships in middle-aged married couples and to distribute family life education programs that can strengthen family support resources. For example, family relationship enhancement programs are currently performed, including "Family School for Middle-Aged Baby Boomers" and others as part of the Healthy Family Support Work regarding the promotion of marital satisfaction of middle-aged couples. In addition, continuing effort is warranted to include content on strengthening family support resources, maximizing the effectiveness of programs, and promoting service accessibility.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between family, work experiences and psychological well-being among employed wives. Data were collected from 258 full-time employed wives in dual-earner families. 63.6% of respondents were in their 30s and 36.4% in their 40s. Educational and income level was above average. Employed wives experienced higher levels of stress and satisfaction in parenting than in marital relationships and work. The findings of this study indicated that higher levels of marital stress and parenting stress were negatively related to work satisfaction for employed wives in dual-earner couples. Work stress had negative effects on parenting satisfaction. However, marital satisfaction was not influenced by parenting stress and work stress. The results of the regression analysis revealed that marital, work and parenting satisfaction were significant predictors of psychological well-being of employed wives. The size of effects were found to be greater for marital and work satisfaction than for parenting satisfaction.

만성질환노인 및 가족의 사회복지적 욕구에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Social Welfare Needs of the Aged Chronic Patients and Their Family)

  • Considering the characteristics of the Korean family which maintain a close connection with their patients from the moment of their falling sick to hospitalization to discharge, the family is the most important environmental factor of the social supporting system, and is the important object of the client as well as activity system. The medical social work intends to meet the practical needs of aged chronic patients, providing them and their family with a professional human service. The end of this study is to find out the hardships of both the aged chronic patients and their family as well as their needs for the social welfare service, and to search out the way of comprehensive social work service. The summary of the analysis of the survey is as follows: 1. The needs of aged chronic patients are divided into those of the solution of the problems of falling ill, social welfare program and discharge. Those needs arc affected by the various factors of the types of hospitals, the patients' age, the kinds of insurance, and the supporting systems, etc. Accordingly, the assessment of the needs of the patients are asked to be done comprehensively in accordance with the kinds of diseases and social environments. 2. The importance of the family to the aged chronic patients is evident. The family plays a decisive role in the patients' hospitalization and discharge, the family being an important supporting system and making it necessary to take an approach to client system. The family has difficulty in getting connection of community resources, in adapting to social life after the patient's discharge, and in paying the treatment. The family suffers the secondary hardships more than the burden of the treatment expenses. 3. For this reason various interventions are needed to reduce the stress caused by supporting and nursing patients. Thus the social welfare service for the aged chronic patients and their family needs the following prepositions: 1. It is the characteristics of the aged chronic patients that they need continuous care and that the strengths of the patients and their family cannot be too much emphasized, and that comprehensive assessment based on the connection 'with the community and the mutual interchange 'with the environment, is much emphasized. 2. The family of the aged chronic patient is a resources system as well as a client one. 3. Another characteristic of the aged chronic patients is that with the resources connection in mind, it needs an active intervention of social workers in the community. With these prepositions considered, the development of practical social work service for the aged chronic patients is thought urgently needed.

감정부조화와 내재적 동기간의 관계: 고객 콜센터 기혼 여성들의 일-가정 갈등을 중심으로 (The Relationship between Emotional Dissonance and Intrinsic Motivation: Focusing on Work-Family Conflict)

  • Purpose - The quality of customer service has been importantly considered as a way of retaining current customers. Recent development of service industry which based on Information & Communication Technology allows firms to utilize different employees for their businesses. Although it is regarded as important to consider emotional labor of employees working for customers in ICT service industry, little was known the role of emotional dissonance. Thus, current paper focused on emotional labor and tried to identify the factors which influence on employees' intrinsic motivation for married women working in call centers. This study highlighted the influence of the emotional dissonance on the employees' intrinsic motivation, and the moderating influences of work-family conflict on the relationship between emotional dissonance and intrinsic motivation. Research design, data, and methodology - The research samples were gathered from seven call centers of Korean financial institutions located in South Korea. The model of emotional dissonance was developed, which emphasizes the influence of emotional dissonance as a predictor on intrinsic motivation, and then the other model was also introduced to explain how employees' intrinsic motivation were aggravated by work-family conflict. To examine these research models, samples were collected from 468 married women working in call centers of Korean financial institutions located in Seoul. A total of 468 samples were used in the analysis after deleting data of missing value. SPSS 22.0 were utilized for data analysis. Results - The results of current study showed that emotional dissonance is negatively related to intrinsic motivation, and there are significant differences in work-family conflict. Those results generally support the proposed hypotheses. Conclusions - These results suggest that the relationship of intrinsic motivation of married women working in call center for customers' service were influenced by emotional dissonance, which outcomes were interacted not by face-to-face contact with their customers, but by emotional contacts. Managerially, these findings suggest the one who emphasize the quality of customer's service of call center need to introduce the programs for minimizing both of emotional dissonance and work-family conflict. These findings also suggest that the service quality via intrinsic motivation of married women working in call center is hard to be accomplished without considering the factors of emotional dissonance and work-family conflict.
