  • This study is planned to help women in international marriages to develop their sense of self-esteem and their family life and to adapt to Korean society, The findings are as follows: First, the women in international marriage tend to have low self-esteem and difficulty to adapt themselves to the society due to language barrier, cultural conflicts, sense of alienation, isolation and so on. however, now they seem to have the strength of mind by themselves, to accept other people and to adapt to the society better than before the education program by having had communications with the program members and their allied mothers in the program. Second, the cohesion among the program members per session has improved over the sessions, and the members' interest in the education program has increased. moreover, the members have opened up themselves over time. Third, the alliances with Korean teachers as their allied mothers not only helped their Korean but also taught the members about family life. It helped the members to adjust to their family life and became a mental support.

여성인력의 직무태도 변화 (An Empirical Study on the Job Attitude Changes of Women Employees)

  • As the living standards have been enhanced thanks to rapid to rapid economic growth following industrial progress, today the advancement of woman into specialized jobs keep expanding not only for economic purpose such as increasing family income but also due to changed perception on woman's role, i.e. self-realization. In the actual situations, however, women are generally placed in a inferior position compared with men in most jobs, despite existence of gender equality policy. Therefore, concern and study on female adaptation into job and their work attitude have become increasingly important, which can contribute to alleviating women's discontent in the work but to raising efficiency of job execution and improving work quality. In this treatise, I researched the job attitude of woman for the period of 1980 up to 2005, with interval of every 5 years. For empirical analysis, research has been done towards females teachers in elementary and middle schools as well as female works in financial institutions. Both job fields have comparatively high percentage of female employees and have less sexual discrimination. The purpose of this vertical research is (1) to find out how women workers perceive their job environment, (2) to analyze empirically the change in female job attitude and their flow of consciousness. Ultimately this treatise aimed at contributing to efficient management of female work force in our society.

양주시 초등학교 4학년 세시풍속교육프로그램 연구 - 여름 세시풍속을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Educational Program of Seasonal Customs for the 4th Grade Students in the Elementary School in Yangju City - Focused on the Seasonal Customs in Summer -)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in the understanding level of the Korean traditional seasonal customs during summer (i.e. Buddha's birthday, Dano festival, Yudu festival and Chilseok) before and after the execution of a educational program concerning seasonal customs and determine if elementary school teachers recognize a need for this kind of educational program. The subjects of this study were 168 students in the 4th grade at two elementary schools (84 students each for the experiment group and the control group) and 249 teachers at the elementary schools in Yangju city. The major results of this study are as follows : First, it was shown that there is no significant difference in the understanding level of seasonal customs between the experiment group and the control group in the pre-test, but after carrying out the educational program, it was indicated that there is a statistically significant difference between the experiment group and the control group in the post-test. Second, in addition to strongly pointing out the necessity of seasonal customs education, the teachers recognized that it is desirable to teach seasonal customs to students through the discretionary activity class corresponding to the seasonal divisions in the year and that it is especially important to perform the educational activity through traditional plays and to utilize audio-visual media. Also, teachers hoped that a seasonal customs program suitable for elementary school students would be required, along with the development of instructional materials, and finally that the schools need to further develop teacher training through field inspections and practice.

학교급식 영양(교)사의 직무스트레스가 직무소진에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Job Stress on Job Burnout of Nutrition Teachers and Dietitians in School Foodservice)

  • The purposes of this study were to examine the levels of job stress and job burnout perceived by nutrition teachers and dietitians in school foodservice in Gyeongsangnam province and to analyze job stress factors affecting job burnout. A total of 270 questionnaires were distributed from December 10 to 29, 2010 and 252 were returned (response rate : 93.3%). A total of 245 were used in the final analysis (usage rate : 90.7%), excluding seven improper questionnaires. The results of this study were as follows : 100% of the respondents were women, and their mean age was 38. 60% were nutrition teachers and 40% were dietitians. The level of job stress and job burnout of the respondents were 2.89 points (on a 5-point Likert scale) and 3.70 (on a 7-point Likert scale), respectively. In regard to job stress factors, job demand (3.97) recorded the highest scores, followed by organizational system (2.99), lack of reward (2.85), interpersonal conflict (2.69), job insecurity (2.63), organizational climate (2.63), and insufficient job control (2.45) in that order. Exhaustion burnout (4.60) recorded the highest points among job burnout factors, followed by cynicism (3.46), and professional efficacy (3.04) in that order. Job stress factors affecting job burnout were organizational system (p<.001), job insecurity (p<.001), lack of reward (p<.001), and organizational climate (p<.01). In conclusion, it is necessary to provide human resources management strategies to lower job demand and workload in order to reduce job stress and job burnout for dietitians and nutrition teachers in school foodservice.

코로나19 팬데믹 초기 서울지역 영양(교)사의 직무스트레스가 자기효능감, 직무만족 및 직무몰입에 미치는 영향 (Job Stress among School Nutrition Teachers and Dietitians in Seoul during the Early Stage of the COVID-19 Pandemic: Effects on Self-Efficacy, Job Satisfaction, and Job Involvement)

  • This study was undertaken to assess levels of job stress, self-efficacy, job satisfaction, and job involvement as perceived by school dietitians/nutrition teachers during the early stage of the COVID-19 pandemic and to determine the effects of these three factors. An online survey was sent from May 18 to May 26, 2021, to school dietitians/nutrition teachers in Seoul with experience of foodservice operations during 2020; 250 responses were used for this analysis. Job demands contributed most to job stress, whereas human relations contributed most to job satisfaction. Job stress caused by COVID-19 had a negative impact on self-efficacy (P<0.01) and job satisfaction (P<0.01), but a positive impact on job involvement (P<0.05). Self-efficacy positively impacted job involvement (P<0.01) but did not significantly influence job satisfaction. However, job satisfaction during early COVID-19 positively impacted job involvement (P<0.05). In conclusion, job stress associated with job requirements was greater during the early stage of the COVID-19 pandemic than before the pandemic guidelines are needed that enable school dietitians/nutrition teachers to better cope with the job pressures generated by infectious diseases.

건강한 학교 만들기 모형 개발 (Model Building Strategy for Healthy Schools)

  • The aim of this study is to develop a strategy for building healthy schools. For this, the concept of a healthy school was defined and the need for healthy schools was identified and reviewed. This included comparative studies of foreign countries as well. This study found that the elements of a healthy school were physical, psychological, environmental, nutritional, educational, serviceable, and practical. The strategy of building this model was to connect students and teachers, school and administration, and parents and community within one circle on the basis of these elements.

  • 우리나라 四海岸으루 流入되는 漢江의 上流에서 筆者等에 依하여 發見된 잉어科의 魚類가 지금까지 發見된 돌고기 Pungtungia herzi, 감돌고기 Pseudopungtungia nigra, 쉬리 Coreoleuciscus splendidus 等과 體形, 頭部의 形態, 입술과 수엽의 構造等에 顯著한 差異를 보이므로 本種을 Pseudopungtungia tenuicorpus로 記載하고 韓國名을 가는돌고기로 提唱한다.

Phenazine dioxide 유도체가 간 Xanthine Oxidase 활성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Phenazine Dioxide Derivatives on the Hepatic Xanthine Oxidase Activity)

  • 8-Acyl-2-hydroxyphenzaine -5, 10-dioxides and 8-acyl-2-aminophenazine-5, 10-dioxides bearing n-butanoyl, n-hexanoyl and n-octanoyl groups were synthesized. It was attempted to observe the effect of phenazine dioxide derivatives on the hepatic xanthine oxidase activity in this study. As the activity of xanthine oxidase, the key enzyme in the generation of superoxide anion radical ($O_2$), was measured in the presence of phenazine dioxide derivatives, the action of 8-acyl-2-hydroxyphenazine-5,10-dioxide derivatives inhibited with increase of numbers of carbon atom bearing 8-acyl group. Moreover, when plotted on double reciprocal form, the Vmax value decrease as increase of numbers of carbon atom bearing acyl groups without affecting the Km value. However, the hepatic xanthine oxidase activity was not changed by 8-acyl-2-aminophenazine-5,10-dioxide derivatives.

학교 아침급식 실시 여부에 따른 아침급식에 대한 다자간 인식 차이 분석 - 영양(교)사, 학부모, 학생을 중심으로 - (Analysis of the Perception of School Breakfast Program(SBP) by Practiced and Unpracticed Schools)

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the eating of breakfast by students, the perception of the school breakfast program(SBP), and the operational status of the SBP. The survey was administered to students, parents, and nutrition teachers at practiced and unpracticed middle and high schools in Seoul and Kyunggi-do. The questionnaires were distributed to 46 school dietitians who practiced the SBP, 53 school dietitians who did not practiced the SBP, 2,340 students and 1,360 parents in July, 2007. Eating place and the frequency of breakfast were the significantly between the students of practiced and unpracticed schools. Students, parents, and nutrition teachers had positive perceptions and opinions of the SBP. The advantages of the SBP were the formation of regular dietary habits and saving time for breakfast, whereas complaint factors were menu duplication and taste. Therefore, the results suggest that unpracticed schools should refer to the SBPs case of practiced schools and make an efforts for efficient operation.

장애아동들을 위한 수원 시내 초등학교의 편의시설 실태조사 (The Current Status of Accomodations for the Disabled Children in Elementary Schools of Suwon City)

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the accomodations for the disabled children of the elementary schools in Suwon and to give helpful information to the parents and teachers for the improvement of the independence of disabled children at school. We measured the ramps, toilets, doorways and other accomodations in 64 elementary schools according to the checklists. The checklists of these facilities were based on the legal requirements of "The Act for the Benefit of the Disabled, Elderly and Pregnant Women". The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics and the ${\chi}^2$ test. None of the investigated schools satisfied all the legal requirements of the facilities. Fifteen elementary schools had adequate accomodations for the disabled children which allowed them to move independently from the entrance of the school to their classrooms located on the first floor. Only eight of fifteen schools had elevators to access their classrooms upstairs. The schools were divided into two groups according to their construction dates; before and after April 11th 1998, when "The Act for the Benefit of the Disabled, Elderly and Pregnant Women" took effect. There were statistically significant differences in the number of toilets, the width of the toilet entrance, and the slope of the ramps between the two groups (p<.05). We suggest that the accomodations for the disabled children need to be established on a systematic and on-going basis in the future. The teachers and administrators should be more aware of the legal requirements for appropriate accomodations for the disabled children.
