The purpose of this study is to provide for the basic data useful to the effective production and marketing of the brassiere befitting adult women's body shapes and preferences, and thereby, help them improve their apparel life. For this purpose, 563 Korean adult women aged between 20-59 were sampled to survey their practices of purchasing the brassieres and positively identify the factors affecting the practices and thereupon, determine the correlations among them by age group. Data is processed by a computer(SAS) and analyzed by using frequency, percentage, $\chi^2$-test, ANOVA, Duncan-test. The main results of this study are as follows; 1. The adult women tend to use such mass media as TV, magazines, catalogues and DM to decide for themselves which brassiere befits them most, and to check the brand-name(78.8%) or the sizes(93.4%), but more than 90% of them purchase their brassieres without trying on them. 2. The places of purchasing on which adult women rely most for their brassiere are department stores(32.6%), agencies(26.1%) and discount or pension shops(25.4%), while more than 90% of the sample women often visit bargain sale shops. The average number of brassieres possessed by our adult women is 5.7, and an adult women buys 2.6 brassiere costing 10-30 thousand wons a year on average and consumes a brassiere for the period from 6 months to 2 years. 3. It had been disclosed that the brand favored most by adult women is Venus(56.2%), followed by Vivien (17.6%), Wacoal(6.8%), Amie(2.5%) and Body Guard(2.3%). The most influential factors for the popularity of brands are fitting condition(40.3%) and design(23.8%), which suggests that consumers appreciate functionality and aesthetics. The most important reference affecting our women's choice of brassiere is size(64.4%), followed by design and functionality. The brassiere style favored most by adult women is a wire-type 3/4 cup brassiere made of thin material with sewing lines, while the most favorite color is white. In all, it has been found through this study that adult women's practices of buying their brassieres differ by age group, which may well suggest that brassiere production need to take such age-wise practices into consideration in setting up their brassiere production and marketing strategies.

The purpose of this study is to investigate some Influencing factors related to the wealth perception and property increase of 519 women in Seoul. The research was conducted from the end of February 15 to the beginning of January 20, 2009. The figures obtained were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, x-test, t-test, F-test, chi-square, and Duncan's F-test with SPSS pc+ The major findings of who study are summarized as follows: l.There were significant differences between the wealth recognition (economic plan affirmative and negative perception of wealth) for women according to social and psychological variables; economic plans have a higher value for married women, older women, those who have followed a postgraduate university course, those with higher income and expenditure, higher life satisfaction, and high and middle satisfaction with their economic life. In particular, economic plans varied significantly according to expectation of wealth in old age, and future economic prospects in the middle group. 2. Increased wealth and economic according to social and psychological variables (marital status, age, education, income, expenditure, life satisfaction, satisfaction with economic life, expectation of wealth in old age, future economic prospects) were shown to be associated with the following methods of increasing property: use of savings banks (p<.001) showed a rate of deposit of 20%-40% (p<.001) saving and thrift was a practice (p<001) that was related to the cost of living; and education expenditure (p<.001) as a property preparation period was exhibited in women aged 25-30 (p<.001). 3. There were significant differences in the recognition of wealth according to strategies for increasing wealth. There were no significant differences between mean of property acquisition and point of expenditure or the property preparation period in the perception of wealth. The related variables in rate of deposits were under 20% according to economic plan and negative wealth perception. In contrast, in the middle and high group, the economic plan and negative wealth perception were 20%-40% in relation to the rate of deposits. Variables related to the action of saving and thrift and property acquisition were practiced in the low and middle group of affirmative wealth recognition and the high group of negative wealth perception. The high group for wealthrecognition and the low group for wealthnegation exhibited little savings, thrift, and property accumulation. Those variables which point an expenditure the cost of living were education expenditure in all groups of negative wealth perception. The women in the study practiced more soundness economic planning according to their increased wealth and economic strategy. This study suggests that women should have positive wealth perception in their lives.
The objectives of this study were to investigate hair style preferences, and use of cosmetics according to sexual orientation and demographic variables, to examine the relationship among hair style preferences, use of cosmetics, and anxiety and self-esteem. The subjects were 536 men (heterosexual : 353, gay : 183) of 20's and 30's living in metropolitan area of Seoul. Homosexuals preferred individualistic adornments and appearance, and the higher the ability anxieties and the miscellaneous anxieties they in both sexual orientation groups preferred unique individualistic hairstyles and used coloring cosmetics more. In the sales and service workers and students both sexual orientation groups preferred individualistic personal adornment while in the office workers they both preferred conservative appearance. In the same occupations, there were significant differences in the physical adornments according to sexual orientation in the sales and service workers and students groups. Homosexuals used individual adornments according to their sexual orientation. Both homosexuals and heterosexuals had low use of physical adornments.

This study is to investigate the effect of the limitation factor in women's marine sports on negotiation strategy and participation decision. we selected out 278 in total by cluster random sampling that are women in their twenties living in Seoul and Gyeonggi areas in 2009. 2009 years 1 July to 30 July were surveyed. There are the following results performed by a frequency analysis, a factor analysis, a reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS Windows 15.0 Version. First, the limitation factor in women's marine sports partially influences on negotiation strategy. Second, the participation limitation factor in women's marine sports partially influences on participation decision. Third, the participation negotiation strategy in women's marine sports partially influences participation decision.
A total of 321 salaried employees were surveyed by questionnaires during September and October 2001 in order to investigate the bases for their choices between 26 popular menu items in JinJu restaurants. The subjects were aged 20 to 61 years, and were classified into 3 age groups (ages 20-29, 30-39, and over 40) and 2 gender groups. The data were analyzed using the SAS program for factor analysis. The results of this study were as follows: 1) The 26 popular menu items were classified into 6 factors by the 20-29 age group, into 5 factors by the 30-39 age group, and into 3 factors by the over 40 age group. The younger age group had the more numbers of factor which act as choice criteria of restaurant foods according to the purpose of eating out. 2) Because subjects classified steak and fast food into the same factor named 'new generation's food', we found that steak was an unfamiliar food for most of them, 3) The 20-29 age group had an aversion to Boshintang(dog soup), while the 30-39 age group and the over 40 age group liked Boshintang as a stamina food. 4) The over 40 age group, and men in all age groups, didn't choose Buffet and Shabushabu as a dinner food because they had negative attitudes toward novel or unfamiliar foods. 5) Women distinguished between a factor called 'social drink and party food' from a facor called 'dinner food', while men integrated the factor of 'dinner food' into the factor of 'social drink and party food' 6) Men preferred Samgyetang (chicken stew with ginseng) and Yangnyeumtongdak (spicy fried chicken) as a 'social drink and party food', while women preferred Dwaejibossam (boiled pork and kimchi) and Beef Bulgogi. In conclusion, most of subjects did not recognize fast food and steak as a meal, which were introduced recently in JinJu. The choice criteria and preferences of restaurant foods were different from the age and gender groups. The over 40 age group, and men in all age groups, had more negative attitudes toward novel or unfamiliar foods than the younger age and women groups.(Korean J. Nutrition 35(9) : 996~1006, 2002)
This study aims to the recognize the importance of uniform design and provide empirical data to companies after getting the effects of uniform design in cosmetics companies on service quality perception and customer satisfaction. For this, a preliminary survey was conducted against 30 college women (aged 20s) from 'K' University, and effective samples were obtained from 250 people. In terms of a research method, collected data were coded and analyzed using SPSS. The respondents' characteristics were analyzed using descriptive statistics. For reliability analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ was used. For a validity test, factor analysis was performed. In addition, correlation analysis was carried out to examine multicollinearity among variables. The analysis results found that the characteristics of uniform design have a positive effect on service quality and customer satisfaction. Among the characteristic of uniform design, however, functionality wasn't confirmed in a relational test. This kind of result was obtained because the uniform was mostly analyzed from customers' perspective, not from the wearer's standpoint. It is expected that the study results would be helpful in establishing brand identity through the improvement of the importance of uniform design.
The objective of this study is to investigate the actual status regarding the size selection for jackets, skirts, and slacks among the ready-to-wears worn by adult women, and to examine the physical measurements of major parts for the women wearing each dress size. The data collection was made through the questionnaires obtained from 699 adult women of 20 to 59 years of age. The questionnaire is composed of the sizes of ready-to-wears worn and physical measurements of the respondents. The data analysis was conducted through description statistics, Crosstabs, ANOVA. The findings are as follows. 1. The differences were found in the sizes of ready-to-wears worn by adult women along the age ranges. 2. The ratios of correspondence for the sizes of jackets and skirts and for the sizes of jackets and slacks were as high as 77.3% and 78.3%, respectively. 3. The differences were found in every physical measurement item of the jacket wearers by the size. The girth items showed an increase with the larger sizes of jackets, whereas the height was the largest for the wearers of Sizes 55 and 66, regardless of the jacket sizes. The differences in the physical measurements by the age range, among the jacket wearers of the same size, were found in the height and the waist girth. The height was lower and the waist girth was larger, with the older age. In addition, the differences in the wearers' physical measurements, by the jacket size of the same age range, were found in every item including the height among those in their 20's, and in every item excluding the height among those in their 30's or the above.
The purpose of this research is to study the efficiency of the Internet market, not provided to consumers by the existing traditional market. This research examines whether consumers properly understand the efficiency of the Internet market. The result from consumers perception on the efficiencies in the two market are as follows. First, consumers perceived the traditional market as having more product alternatives compared to the Internet market. Second, consumers perceived that the Internet market was more efficient in price dispersion and price change Third, the Internet market was considered more efficient in searching and travel time, and in the search cost. Finally, the traditional market was considered as a better provider of the information about product function, feature, reality, usage and service compared to the Internet market. On the contrary, the Internet market turned out to be more effective in providing product information, price information and trading information compared to the traditional market. Therefore consumers perceived the traditional market of having more information.
The research subjects of this study were 30 unmarried Korean women from 20 to 29 who had never had an operation on their breast. Measurement method using plaster breast mold was used for measuring their volume of breast. The correlation between their breast volume and the methods to set up brassiere cups with the existing method and with their circumference of breast was analyzed using KendalI's Coefficient. which was to figure out a method which had a bigger correlation with the volume of breast between the method to set up brassiere cups using the existing method and the method using the circumference of breast. The results analyzed showed that the coefficient of correlation between the existing method and the volume of breast was .12 and the significance level was .45. They didn't have any correlation. On the other hand. the coefficient of correlation between the circumference of breast and the volume of breast was .82. which was very high values and the significance level was very high .0001. Therefore. it turned out that it was difficult to set up brassiere cups by using the existing method and it was easier and more reliable to set up the cups by using the circumference of breast.

A rash guard, also known as rash vest or rashie, is functional sportswear that protects the wearer's skin from various dangers during outdoor sports activities. It is durable and comfortable since it is designed considering muscle movement. In modern society, more and more people enjoy leisure activities due to an increase in income level and increased leisure hours. Water leisure activities are increasingly enjoyed in the summer. As the way people think of leisure evolves, people are more inclined toward dynamic leisure sports rather than static facility tourism. Therefore, more research on rash guards is required. By identifying and analyzing the design preferences and purchase behaviors of young adults on rash guards, this study aims to provide basic data on the actual sportswear behaviors concerning those who are most active in water sports, people in their 20s and 30s. Furthermore, the study aims to contribute to a healthy exercise lifestyle for women who enjoy water sports and the growth of the water sportswear market. In the study, a survey was conducted using a questionnaire to investigate the wearing behaviors and purchase preferences as well as the wearing satisfaction on rash guards. For the study, 200 copies of the questionnaire were distributed and collected to be used as analysis data. The questionnaire consisted of 36 questions, 6 about demographic characteristics, 11 about purchase preferences, and 19 about wearing satisfaction. The collected data was analyzed using the statistical program SPSS 8.0. The study results can be used as basic data to investigate the design preferences and wearing behaviors of rash guards of women in their 20s and 30s. The results found numerous complaints on comfortableness and durability, which suggests more concern and improvements are necessary in those areas when designing patterns for rash guards.
