The Meaning of Quality of Life for Bone Marrow Transplant Survivors (골수이식생존자의 삶의 질 의미)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the concept of quality of life for bone marrow transplant (BMT) survivors and to gain understanding of nursing interventions that may improve QOL in this population. The data was gathered from 32 BMT survivors using seven open-ended questions. The items were based on previous research of Ferrell et al., (1992). Content analysis was performed on written responses to seven questions regarding BMT and QOL. The results were as follows : 1. The meaning of QOL for BMT survivors were "being healt", "being able to take a role", "having relationships", "self-accomplishment", "peace of mind", "spiritual well-being", "economic stability" and "being alive". 2. The impact of BMT on physical well-being were "skin impairment", "digestive problems", "infections ", "fatigue/weakness", "arthralgia", "eye dryness". "weight gain", "amenorrhea" and "hand tremor". 3. The impact of BMT on psychological well-being were "fear of recurrence", "sence of peace" and "hope". 4. The impact of BMT on socioeconomic status were "financial burden", "limitation of social activities" and "sence of withdrawal". 5. The impact of BMT on spiritual well-being were "dependency on Supreme Being", "spiritual arousal " and "spiritual maturity". The findings of the study will be useful in constructing a instrument to measure QOL in BMT and in understanding the conceptual basis of QOL for the BMT population.ency on Supreme Being", "spiritual arousal " and "spiritual maturity". The Relationship between Eating Out Consumption Propensity, Dessert Cafe Satisfaction, Psychological Well-Being and Quality of Life (외식소비성향과 디저트카페 만족, 심리적 행복감, 삶의 질 간의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate relationship between eating out consumption propensity, dessert $caf{\acute{e}}$ satisfaction, psychological well-being, and quality of life. The objective of this study was reached by verifying a hypothesis through empirical analysis. Data collection was conducted from November 10, 2017 to December 10, 2015, and 250 copies of the questionnaires were distributed. Of these, 243 valid copies of the data were used for the analysis except for the questionnaires that did not meet the research purpose. The results of the analysis were as follows. First, only health pursuit type and quick & convenience pursuit type had a significant influence on satisfaction of dessert cafe. On the other hand, economic value pursuit type, eating out enjoyment pursuit type, and atmosphere pursuit type did not significantly affect dessert cafe satisfaction. Second, among the eating out consumption propensity, there were significant influences on psychological well-being in order of atmosphere pursuit type, eating out enjoyment pursuit type, economic value pursuit type. On the other hand, the health pursuit type and the quick & convenience pursuit type did not significantly affect psychological well-being. Third, satisfaction of dessert cafe had a significant effect on psychological well-being. Fourth, psychological well-being has a significant effect on the quality of life compared to dessert cafe satisfaction. The result of this study is supposed to be utilized as an instrumental data for establishing a strategy for differentiating dessert cafe to improve the quality of life through grasping the eating out consumption propensity to increase satisfaction and psychological well-being in dessert cafe.

  • As the interests in health grow higher, necessity of Well-being relation informations get more importance. We get the information of well-being, tinternet retrieval system or blog, homepage and media. Although, it is not easy to find informations of well-being food. So, retrieval system has been requiring information about well-being food. In this paper, Weight-based Wellbeing Food Retrieval System is designed and implemention. Finding numerous pages and if well-being keywords includes page, it was identified and add weight. User searching for keywords, it implement, well-being food pages comes at the first. Keywords for discrimination makes type of dictionary, so it can insert, delete, modify. Inverted files saves hasing(direct-based file). Retrieval System in this paper is experimental result, at keywords of well-being food show 5~15% imprement than another Retrieval System. In this paper, Weight-based Wellbeing Food Retrieval System's designed and proposed way to raking for well-being food.

Influence of Ego-resilience and Spiritual well-being on College adjustment in major of Nursing Student (간호대학생의 자아탄력성과 영적안녕이 대학생활 적응에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of ego-resilience and Spiritual well-being on college adjustment in nursing students. The sample for this study consisted of Nursing students from 2 university of nursing in C Provinces. The data were collected from November 10 to 17, 2014. The data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation and multiple regression with SPSS 18.0. A positive correlation was found for college adjustment with Ego-resilience and Spiritual well-being. In addition Ego-resilience, Religious spiritual well-being, Existential spiritual well-being accounted for 39% of variance in college adjustment. The results of this study suggest that development of Ego-resilience and Spiritual well-being in nursing students is important to college adjustment. Further research in improving Ego-resilience and Spiritual well-being is warranted.

A Study on Psychological Well-Being among College Students (일 지역 대학생의 심리적 안녕감에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out impact of physical health, family strength and psychological well-being on college students in Korea, and to use it as a basic data in developing psycholohgical well-being promotion interventions for college students. The study was composed of 125 students who were studying in 4-year system at colleges. Data were collected from September 1st to October 31st, 2019. Data analysis included an independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple regression using the SPSS 23.0 program. As a result of this study, psychological well-being of those was significantly correlated with physical health and family strenth. In a regression analysis, psychological well-being accounted for 28% of the variance of family strength, physical health and Club activity. The most significant factor affecting the success of psychological well-being was family strength (β=0.34, p<.001). The result of the study indicate the importance of consideration with family strength for psychological well-being of college students.

Factors Influencing Psychosocial Well-Being in Family Caregivers of People with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (근위축성측삭경화증 가족 돌봄제공자의 심리사회적 안녕감에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify factors influencing psychosocial well-being in family caregivers of patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Methods: A descriptive correlational design was used. The transactional model of stress and coping was used to investigate the psychosocial well-being of 137 family caregivers of patients with ALS. Data were collected through self-reported questionnaires from January to November 2016. Data were analyzed using an independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis with the SPSS WIN 21.0 program. Results: The regression model had an adjusted $R^2$ of .49, which indicated that meaning-focused coping, social support, ALS patient-family caregiver relationship (especially a spousal relationship), and tracheostomy were significant predictors of caregivers' psychosocial well-being. Conclusion: Meaning-focused coping and social support significantly influenced caregivers' psychosocial well-being. Therefore, interventions to improve caregivers' psychosocial well-being must focus on increasing meaning-focused coping and social support resources.

A Study on Management of Division of Household Work and Psychological Well-Being of Married and Employed Urbanite (도시 기혼 직업인의 가사분담관리행동과 심리적 복지감에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study were to empirically verify the influence of varables on psychological well-being of married and employed urbanite and to provide a basis for promoting the quality of life. The subject of this study were 270 married and employed urbanite and interviewed with a questionnaire. The data were analyzed by SPSS/PC+ program for the frequency, mean, standard deviation, and regression analysis. The major results of this study were as follows: 1) The score of management of division of household work was a medium-level. The score of psychological well-being of married and employed urbanite was relatively high. 2) Variables that affect management of division of household work were sex, income, degree of using information, and degree of stress recognition. 3) Variables that affect psychological well-being were degree of work satisfaction, degree of income propriety, degree of stress recognition, fate control orientation and material orientation. 4) The influenced level of degree of work satisfaction on psychological well-being of married and employed urbanite was highest among the other variables.

  • As increased demand for well-being food caused more interest in hangwa, or Korean traditional sweets and cookies, this study attempted to analyze the effects of psychological well-being awareness on selection attributes for it and customer satisfaction based on the customers who buy hangwa. As a result of statistical analysis, psychological well-being awareness positively affects selection attributes for hangwa. It also bas a positive effect on customer satisfaction.

A Study on the Working Mother's Parental Attitude and the Psychological Well-being of Children (취업모의 양육태도와 자녀의 심리적 복지에 관한 연구)

  • This study is about the working mother's parental attitude and the psychological well-being of children. This investigation also analyzed the differences in the psychological well-being of children according to socio-demographic variables and whether there was a percieved affective nurturing attitude and monitoring of the mother. To study such differences, 437 second and third grade children with both parents working were chosen as the subjects of this investigation. The data was analyzed according to frequency, percentage, averages, standard deviation, Cronbach's alpha, t-test, one way ANOVA, and Duncan's mutiple comparison. The major finding were as follows: First, the results of examining the differences of the psychological well-being of children according to socio-demographic variables showed significant differences in the area of anxiety with respect to children's genders, maternal educational levels and maternal occupations. In the area of loneliness, the differences came only from the differences in the grade levels. Second, there were significant differences between loneliness and self-perceived competence in the psychological well-being of children according to the subjects' perception of an affective nurturing attitude and monitoring of mothers. In other words, it revealed that the group of children that strongly perceived an affective nurturing attitude and monitoring by their parents showed a lower level of loneliness and a higher level of self-perceived competence.

A Study on the Factors Affecting the Spiritual Well-Being of Mentally Disabled Residents of Institutions (시설거주 정신장애인의 영적 안녕감에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the factors affecting the spiritual well-being of mentally disabled residents of institutions. The data were collected from July 1 to 25 in 2014. Data were collected by questionnaire from 145 mentally disabled residents of institutions. The instruments for this study were social support, self-esteem, depression, insight, spiritual well-being. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple linear regression with the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. According to results, the degree of social support, self-esteem, insight and spiritual well-being was higher than and depression was lower. The significant factors influencing spiritual well-being were depression (${\beta}=-.32$, p<.001), insight (${\beta}=-.21$, p=.003), social support (${\beta}=-.21$, p=.006) and self-esteem (${\beta}=-.18$, p=.047). The study reveals that it is necessary to develop a program that decreases depression and increases insight, social support and self-esteem.
