In this paper we prove that any continuous function on a bounded closed interval of can be approximated by the superposition of a bounded sigmoidal function with a fixed weight. In addition we show that any continuous function over $\mathbb{R}$ which vanishes at infinity can be approximated by the superposition f a bounded sigmoidal function with a weighted norm. Our proof is constructive.

In this paper, a method for detection of forged signatures based on spectral analysis of directional gradient density function and a weighted fuzzy classifier is proposed. The well defined outline of an incoming signature image is extracted in a preprocessing stage which includes noise reduction, automatic thresholding, image restoration and erosion process. The directional gradient density function derived from extracted signature outline is highly related to the overall shape of signature image, and thus its frequency spectrum is used as a feature set. With this spectral feature set, having a property to be invariant in size, shift, and rotation, a weighted fuzzy classifier is evaluated for the verification of freehand and random forgeries. Experiments show that less than 5% averaged error rate can be achieved on a database of 500 signature samples.

수문변량 사이의 관계는 대부분 비선형 관계를 보이고 있다. 일반적으로 이런 비선형 관계는 어떤 선행하는 명백한 하나의 함수적인 형태로 표현할 수 없는 것이 일반적이다. 본 논문에서는, 비매개변수적 다변량 회귀분석 방법을 지역적으로 가중된 다항식을 이용하여 비선형 예상 함수를 추정하였다. 지역적으로 가중된 다항식은 추정치 각 점에서의 인접한 이웃자료를 가지고 목적 함수를 테일러 급수 확장을 통하여 고려하였다. 이런 비매개변수적 회귀분석을 실용성을 Great Salt Lake의 격주 체적자료에 대한 단기간 예측을 통하여 보여주었다.

We exhibit some properties of the weighted Berezin transform T_αf on L^∞(B_n) and on L¹(B_n). As the main result, we prove that if f ∈ L^∞(B_n) with lim_k→∞ T^k_αf exists, then there exist unique M-harmonic function g and $h{\in}{\bar{(I-T_{\alpha})L^{\infty}(B_n)}}$ such that f = g + h. We also show that of the norm of weighted Berezin operator T_α on L¹(B_n, ν) converges to 1 as α tends to infinity, where ν is an ordinary Lebesgue measure.

This paper deals with a defect classification technique that considers the structural characteristics of a refrigerant compressor. First, the pressure pulsation of the refrigerant flowing in the suction pipe of a normal compressor was measured at the same time as the acceleration of the shell surface, and then the transfer function between the two signals was estimated. Next, the frequency-weighted acceleration signals of the defect classification target compressors were generated using the estimated transfer function. The estimation of the variance of the transfer function is presented to formulate the frequency-weighted acceleration signals. The estimated frequency-weighted accelerations were applied to defect classification using frequency-domain features. Experiments were performed using commercial compressors to verify the technique. The results confirmed that it is possible to perform an effective defect classification of the refrigerant compressor by the shell surface acceleration of the compressor. The proposed method could make it possible to improve the total inspection performance for compressors in a mass-production line.

On the setting of the upper half-space of the Euclidean space $R^{n}$, we show that to each weighted harmonic Bergman function $u\;\epsilon\;b^p_{\alpha}$, there corresponds a unique conjugate system ($upsilon$_1,…, $upsilon_{n-1}$) of u satisfying $upsilon_j{\epsilon}\;b^p_{\alpha}$ with an appropriate norm bound.

We establish a weighted norm inequality for a class of rough parametric Marcinkiewicz integral operators $\mathcal{M}^{\rho}_{\Omega}$. As an application of this inequality, we obtain weighted $L^p$ inequalities for a class of parametric Marcinkiewicz integral operators $\mathcal{M}^{*,\rho}_{\Omega,\lambda}\;and\;\mathcal{M}^{\rho}_{\Omega,S}$ related to the Littlewood-Paley $g^*_{\lambda}-function$ and the area integral S, respectively.

In this paper, using the notion of weakly weighted sharing and relaxed weighted sharing, we investigate the uniqueness problems of certain differential polynomials sharing a small function. The results obtained in this paper extend the theorem obtained by Jianren Long [9].
