  • The appearnace of web technology has accelerated the development of the multimedia technology, the computer communication technology and the multimedia application contents. Researches on WBI(Web-based Instruction) system have combined the technology of the digital library and LOD,. REcently WBI(Web-based Instruction) model which is based on web has been proposed in the part of the new activity model of teaching-learning. As the demand of the customized coursewares from the lwarners is increased, the needs of the efficient and automated education agents in the web-based instruction are recognized. In this paper we propose a system monitors learner's behaviors constantly, evaluates them, and calculates his accomplishment. And the system offers suitable course to learner applying this accomplishment degree to agent's schedules. Therefore, the learner achieves an active and complete learning from the repeated and suitable course semantic-based retrieval.

  • Keen competence in business environments induces companies to introduce Supply Chain Management (SCM), which is accelerated by emerging information technology. Consequently, supply chain integration requires interacting and information sharing among the companies participating in the supply chain. Web services, platform independent technologies, are recently used for SCM. However, web services themselves do not provide high level supply chain integration. Therefore, the ways to control and manage global processes over supply chain need to be developed. In this paper, we introduce a method of executing and managing supply chain process using Business Process Management (BPM) system. BPM system is a software system to support an efficient execution and management of complex business processes, and it is applied to supply chain processes . The supply chain processes can be regarded network of activities, each of which is served as web service and related to one of the participants. Our approach enables not only efficient managing but also effective monitoring of the process, which can be a good basis for improvement of the processes. For a speedy execution of processes, we provide a method to support decision making in course of executing process by software agents, which are also web services.

  • In recent years, with the advent of e-Commerce the need for personalized services and one-to-one marketing has been emphasized. To be successful in increasingly competitive Internet marketplace, it is essential to capture customer loyalty. In this paper, we provide an intelligent agent approach to incorporate human sensibility into an one-to-one recommendation service in cyber shopping mall. Our system exploits human sensibility ergonomics and on-line preference matching technologies to tailor to the customer the suggestion of goods and the description of store catalog. Customizing the system`s behavior requires the parallel execution of several tasks during the interaction (e. g., identifying the customer`s emotional preference and dynamically generating the pages of the store catalog). The recommendation agent system composed of five modules including specialized agents carries on these tasks. By presenting goods that are consistent with user interests as well as user sensibility, the accuracy and satisfaction of the recommendation service may be improved.

  • We describe a scheme for developing character-based interface within the context of an agent-based tutoring system in the Web environment. The ideas in this paper stem from original work representing aspects of human emotion in tutoring computer models, where may provide mote natural ways for students to communicate with digital learning materials. The proposed system model is a set of software services that enable developers to incorporate interactive animated characters into their Web pages designed for on-line lectures. The prototypical application is developed and shown for validating the applicability and the effectiveness of this model in real tutoring settings.

  • The World Wide Web has become a vast information resource where virtually any information can be found. There is a pressing need for appropriate Web search tools due to the very vastness of information space, the rate of growth, and the volatility of data. The agent technology has been studied to address these issues and led to the creation of an adaptive, Proactive. personalized search tools. This study looks into the mechanism of collaborative filtering of information and suggests a decentralized collaborating agents model for information discovery.

  • The dynamic nature of the World Wide Web challenges Information Retrieval System to find information relevant and recent. Intelligent agents can complement the power of search engines to deal with this challenge. In this paper, we explain in manner of building Information Retrieval System based on intelligent agent technology. We present a tool called Websearcher. It was performed in Java environment. The object-oriented nature of Java and built-in facilities for multi-thread decreased our implementation effort. A modular software design makes it easy to configure the system for various experiments.

Networked Creativity on the Censored Web 2.0: Chinese Users' Twitter-based Activities on the Issue of Internet Censorship

  • In most of the world, the current trend in information technology is for open data movement that promotes transparency and equal access. An opposite trend is observed in China, which has the world's largest Internet population. The country has implemented sophisticated cyber-infrastructure and practices under the name of The Golden Shield Project (commonly referred to as the Great Firewall) to limit access to popular international web services and to filter traffic containing 'undesirable' political content. Increasingly, tech-savvy Chinese bypass this firewall and use Twitter to share knowledge on censorship circumvention and encryption to collectively troubleshoot firewall evasion methods, and even mobilize actions that border on activism. Using a mixed mythological approach, the current study addresses such networked knowledge sharing among citizens in a restricted web ecosystem. On the theoretical front, this study uses webometric approaches to understand change agents and positive deviant in the diffusion of censorship circumvention technology. On policy-level, the study provides insights for Internet regulators and digital rights groups to help best utilize communication networks of positive deviants to counter Internet control.

  • In this paper, we describe the approaches of shopping agents and directory services for online comparison shopping on the web, and propose an information indexing and retrieval system, named InfoEye, with a new method for automatic extraction of product information. The developed method is based on the knowledge about presentation of the product information on the Web. The method from the knowledge about presentation of the product information is derived from both the point that online stores display their products to customers in easy-to-browse ways and heuristics made of analyses of product information look-and-feel of domestic online stores. In indexing process, the method is applied to product information extraction from Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) documents collected by a mirroring robot from online stores. We have made InfoEye to a readily usable stage and transferred the technology to Webnara commercial shopping engine. The proposed system is a cutting-edge solution to help customers as a shopping expert by providing information about the reasonable price of a product from dozens of online stores, saving customers shopping time, giving information about new products, and comparing quality factors of products in a same category.

  • In retail industry, it has been a major focus of marketing to identify and manage loyal customers effectively. Being established as a mature distribution channel, Internet retailing has launched various one-to-one marketing efforts and enjoyed much more fruitful outcome because it is founded on digitally enabled infrastructure. As more complicated and crowded transactions are expected, Internet retailing is in need of electronically available customer management services. This research presents architectural design of Web services for loyal customer management in Internet retailing. The fundamental models of the services are based on traditional RFM analysis. The Web services provide various agents that automate complicated loyal customer management tasks. beadily available Web services are expected to easily integrate into existing applications of any electronic retailers.

Recently WBI model which is based on web has been proposed in the part of the new activity model of teaching-teaming. How to learn and evaluate is required to consider individual learner's learning level. And it is recognized that the needs of the efficient and automated education agents in the web-based instruction is increased But many education systems that had been studied recently did not service fluently the courses which learners had been wanting and could not provide the way for the learners to study the learning weakness which is observed in the continuous feedback of the course. In this paper we propose design of multi-module system for course scheduling of learner-oriented using weakness analysis algorithm. First proposed system monitors learner's behaviors constantly, evaluates them, and calculates his accomplishment and weakness. From this weakness the multi-agent prepares the learner a suitable course environment to strengthen his weakness. Then the learner achieves an active and complete teaming from the repeated and suitable course.
