  • The combined waterproofing technique, which forms the waterproofing layer of two or more substances, is characterized by forming a waterproof layer, which is characterized by the formation of waterproof layers and the thickness of the waterproofing layer is inherently formed. In this study, it is intended to verify the integrity of the material through the manufacture of materials for special purpose waterproofing methods, primarily for the manufacture of composite waterproofing materials and composite waterproofing methods using cement materials and materials.

  • Current domestic waterproofing market in Korea mainly uses single-ply waterproofing materials comprised of coatings or waterproof sheets and two or more-ply composite waterproofing methods. In order to evaluate these types of composite waterproofing systems, a new test equipment and method that incorporates various deterioration conditions (joint displacement, chemical exposure, water pressure etc) was developed. In a comparison testing, the results showed that flexible type materials have higher response performance towards joint displacement than the hardened material. Furthermore, the importance of securing the stability of the waterproofing method in the vulnerable over-lap joint areas of waterproofing sheets is emphasized.

  • The waterproofing system's performance is known to show a determing by complex interaction of material factors, design details, and the quality of construction, and the waterproofing integrity of waterproofing membranes is determined by the bond to the deck and the amount of damage to the waterproofing membrane. In this research, the basic properties of waterproofing membranes on market and the tensile adhesive chracteristics of waterproofing systems of concrete bridge deck have also been investigated in the view of the damages frequently reported from job site. For the tensile adhesive strength of sheet waterproofing membranes, the results after asphalt concrete paving tends to increase more than before those. The results of the liquid waterproofing membranes are upside-down, and the more concrete has strength, the more strength of tensile adhesive increase. The ambient temperature of asphalt concrete when application of the waterproofing membrane has considerable influence on the performance of waterproofing system. As described above, waterproofing system can be influenced by several factors. If they are not considered under construction, the overlooking will cause the damages of pavement and waterproofing system after traffic opening.

  • This paper discusses the application of civil structure use reinforcing fiber mixed with concrete to be used as protection layer of waterproofing material and root resistant layer installed in below-grade parking lot upper slab of residential building. A performance evaluation under the prescribed method outlined in KS F 4938 was used for this new material. The testing results showed that the fiber reinforcement can be used to strengthen the protection for the waterproofing material. Also, plants that were planted in June 2016 have not yet penetrated the specimens used for root resistance testing. The domestic root resistance performance testing usually covers the period of 2 years, thus further observation to make any conclusion about the root resistance property is required.

  • Lately, cement mixed siliceous powder waterproofing coating has been used as a waterproofing material in the wet environment condition of an underground concrete structure. Underground is exposed to environmental influences such as pressure of ground water, pressure of soil. However, the quality standard for pressure (water pressure, earth pressure) is not specified in the specification of the cement mixed siliceous powder waterproofing coating. Therefore, in this study, the permeability test was carried out based on the assumption that the durability should be verified in consideration of the environmental aspects of the material in actual field. As a result of the test, the permeability was generated from the inorganic single type material, but it was caused by the sealing failure and the test error, and the permeability was not generated in most of the materials. The results of this study will be analyzed by reviewing the physical properties of the material, and the research direction will be resumed.

  • There are many factors that generate the early deterioration of the concrete structure. As the one of the representative factors, we can think an invasion of the water, air and so on. The water and air invade in inside void along the capillarity and they become the cause that the durability like corrosion of layer department due to freezing and thawing, inside steel frame corrosion, and so on blacks. Therefore with covering permeability covering waterproofing material of fluid condition in outer wall, intercepting the deterioration factor due to the infiltration of water from outside and for salt damage of concrete layer department, freezing damage and neutralization, it needs, to improve durability of structure. This study separately examined physical and chemical specific of quality liguid siliceous of waterproofing material. Therefore as this applys the construction site, it improves the durability of concrete structure. Further this presents the application plan from the construction market against the new material.

  • The waterproofing of Building on the roof has been exposed more underground or the other part of waterproofing than environmental factor(solar heat, UV, salt, acid rain, wind, temperature, snow, rain, etc.) or physical factor. So it must be have a waterproofing performance and it has a special technique for the maintaining of concrete durability. Therefore, exposed waterproof layer has to protected from UV, solar heat, rain and the outside environment also, to endurance durability methods spread face plate topcoat material on the waterproof layer. But, actuality faceplate waterproof layer of topcoat materials are unbearable to UV, solar heat and moisture etc. and it doesn't have adhesion with waterproof layer in the middle. So it happens to crack, separating and heaving etc. Therefore, in the study, we will suggest that using of the exposed roof waterproof layer topcoat materials test method manage rooftop waterproof layer for the durability and the stability.

  • Seat waterproofing materials applied to the roof of a building concrete structure inevitably produce joints and are applied with opposite dam joints or overlapping joints depending on the waterproof material applied to the top of the sheet. In this case, the joint performance is determined by the material at the top, rather than by the superimposed joint. In order to solve this problem, various reinforcements have been used to apply to the connecting parts of the opposite dam, but the problem of attachment between different materials or the lack of reinforcement of the joint tape has not been solved. Therefore, for the purpose of securing tensile performance to the joints, this study is used as a reinforcement for the joints of PP materials with high tensile performance and as a reinforcement for nylon materials.
