The purpose of this study is to estimate the forward impact of water supply bottleneck using a supply-side input-output model. The failure cost analysed in this study can be used to estimate the values of the water supply reliability and can provide the bases of policy decision for the effective reallocation when water supply constraint will occur. So the position of water supply in the national economy is identified, and direct and indirect impacts are estimated by means of the interindustry analysis. Also the failure cost index is suggested to determine the prior order of water supply important in drought. By the way, the occurrence of drought having regional properties, the failure cost of the regional level using a national input-output table may be overestimated or underestimated. For the preceding reason, the failure cost estimated by a national input-output table is compared with and analysed to a regional input-output table for Kyung- Nam.g- Nam.

The energy conservation theory is introduced for investigating processes of runoff and soil erosion on the hillslope system changed vegetation condition by wildfire The rainfall energy, input energy consisted of kinetic and potential energy, is influenced by vegetation coverage and height. Output energy at the outlet of hillslope is decided as the kinetic energy of runoff and erosion soil, and mechanical work according to moving water and soil is influenced dominantly by the work rather than the kinetic energy. Relationship between output and input energy is possible to calculate the energy loss in the runoff and erosion process. The absolute value of the energy loss is controlled by the input energy size of rainfall because energy losses of runoff increase as many rainfall pass through the hillslope system. The energy coefficient which is dimensionless is defined as the ratio of input energy of rainfall to output energy of runoff water and erosion soil such as runoff coefficient. The energy coefficient and runoff coefficient showed the highest correlation coefficient with the vegetation coverage. Maximum energy coefficient is about 0.5 in the hillslope system. The energy theory for output energy of runoff and soil erosion is presented by the energy coefficient theory associated with vegetation factor. Also runoff and erosion soil resulting output energy have the relation of power function and the rates of these increase with rainfall.
This study aims to analyze the International trade network of Water transport service using Social Network Analysis for defining the status of Korean Water transport industry. This study use World Input-Output Table of Asian Development Bank from 2000 to 2020 and build the International trade matrix of Water transport service from that. Therefore, this study analyze Out-degree centrality, In-degree centrality and betweenness centrality of Korea and other main countries in the matrix of World Water transport industry. As a result, Korea rank above 10th in the all centralities and the total output also rank 8th in the world, therefore, this study show the importance of Korean Water transport industry in the world. However, Singapore has the highest centrality in the world, even though China has the largest Total output among 63 countries.
It is well known that the performance of a fuzzy neural network strongly depends on the input features selected for its training. In its applications to sensor signal estimation, there are a large number of input variables related with an output As the number of input variables increases, the training time of fuzzy neural networks required increases exponentially. Thus, it is essential to reduce the number of inputs to a fuzzy neural network and to select the optimum number of mutually independent inputs that are able to clearly define the input-output mapping. In this work, principal component analysis (PCA), genetic algorithms (CA) and probability theory are combined to select new important input features. A proposed feature selection method is applied to the signal estimation of the steam generator water level, the hot-leg flowrate, the pressurizer water level and the pressurizer pressure sensors in pressurized water reactors and compared with other input feature selection methods.

In this paper, we have analyzed the performance of MIMO (Multi-Input Multi-Output) underwater acoustic communication by using the acquired data via the experiments in water tank. First of all, in the pursuit of this aim, we have measured the channel transfer characteristics at several transceiver locations. The transmitted signal was modulated by QPSK(Quadrature Phase Shit Keying) and the received signal was recovered through the detector that contains the zero forcing equalizer. A maximum 30~40 ms delay was appeared because of physically closed water tank environment that has the harsh multi-path transmission conditions. In result of experiment, even though the bit error rate showed comparatively large when $2{\times}2$ MIMO system with two transmitters and receivers was considered. However, we confirmed it has approximately 15% enhanced performance compared with SISO (Single-Input Single-Output) system.
This study attempts to develop a stochastic system model for extension and prediction of monthly runoff series in river basins where the observed runoff data are insufficient although there are long-term hydrometeorological records. For this purpose, univariate models of a seasonal ARIMA type are derived from the time series analysis of monthly runoff, monthly precipitation and monthly evaporation data with trend and periodicity. Also, a causual model of multiple input-single output relationship that take monthly precipitation and monthly evaporation as input variables-monthly runoff as output variable is built by the cross-correlation analysis of each series. The performance of the univariate model and the multiple input-output model were examined through comparisons between the historical and the generated monthly runoff series. The results reveals that the multiple input-output model leads to the improved accuracy and wide range of applicability when extension and prediction of monthly runoff series is required.
Frequent algal blooms at major river systems in Korea have been serious social and environmental problems. Especially, the appearance of cyanobacteria with toxic materials is a threat to secure a safe drinking water. In order to model the behaviour of cyanobacteria cell number, an exclusive causality analysis using prewhitening technique was introduced to delineate effective parameters to predict the cell numbers of cyanobacteria in Seungchon Weir and Juksan Weir along Youngsan river system. Both input and output transfer function models were obtained to explain temporal variation of cyanobacteria cell number. A threshold behaviour of water temperature was implemented into the model development to consider winter characteristic of cyanobacteria. The implementation of water temperature threshold into the model structure improves the predictability in simulation. Even though the input output transfer model cannot completely explained all blooms of cyanobacteria, the simple structure of model provide a feasibility in application which can be important in practical aspect.

An underwater speaker was made of a moving coil driver unite of usual speaker, acryl-boards, polyester resin, rubber and castor oil and it's frequency characteristics was measured in range of 250~600Hz in air water tank and sea. The results of measurements are follows: 1. Transmitting and receiving frequency of measurement frequency were similar in air, water tank and sea. 2. The input and output wave forms of a manufactured speaker which is not water-proof in air were similar to each other in 300~450Hz, but other frequencies showed distorted wave forms. 3. The input and output wave forms of an underwater speaker in water thank and sea were similar to each other in 250~600Hz. But output wave forms showed combination waves with very low frequency. 4. Transmitting and receiving frequency wave forms and resisting pressure of an underwater speaker at 80m in the depth of water were in good condition. Therefore it can be possible to use it as an underwater speaker.

This paper present a fuzzy mxlel of describing reacton features for ozon contactor in advanced water treatn-ent systems. Input and output variables are chosen by considenng the object of ozon processing and several parameters related to management of water quahty. Dissolved organic carbon concentration, $UV_{254}$ absorptIon and $KM_NO_4$ consumption are proposed as common variables in input and outp.lt variables. Furthermore own concentration, raw water's temperature and contact time are suggested as input variables, Membership hmctions for input variables have triangular type share and the grades in each lrembership function are determined by investigating process data gathered at pilot planl The decision parts of fuzzy model have linear combination form of input variables and coefficients included in such linear equations are computedd with process clata in the sense of least square error Also fuzzy trodel suggested in this paper is partitioned by 3 independent fuzzy rnxlels using the characteristics of having no interactions armng output variables. As a result, such fuzzy mxlel has rrerits in computation and comprehension. According to simulatIon results, fuzzy moIel's outputs give almost similar data to process output under same input conditions.

General circulation models (GCMs) are widely used in hydrological prediction, however their coarse grids make them unsuitable for regional analysis, therefore a downscaling method is required to utilize them in hydrological assessment. As one of the downscaling methods, convolutional neural network (CNN)-based downscaling has been proposed in recent years. The aim of this study is to generate the process of dynamic downscaling using CNNs by applying GCM output as input and RCM output as label data output. Prediction accuracy is compared between different input datasets, and model structures. Several input datasets with key atmospheric variables such as precipitation, temperature, and humidity were tested with two different formats; one is two-dimensional data and the other one is three-dimensional data. And in the model structure, the hyperparameters were tested to check the effect on model accuracy. The results of the experiments on the input dataset showed that the accuracy was higher for the input dataset without precipitation than with precipitation. The results of the experiments on the model structure showed that substantially increasing the number of convolutions resulted in higher accuracy, however increasing the size of the receptive field did not necessarily lead to higher accuracy. Though further investigation is required for the application, this paper can contribute to the development of efficient downscaling method with CNNs.
