  • The purpose of this study is the development of a recycling process to recover the hydrated ability of cement hydrate which accounts for a large proportion of cementitious powder by concrete waste in order to recycle cementitious powder by concrete waste as recycle cement. Therefore, after having theoretical consideration based on the properties of high-heated concrete, we consider the properties of hydration of cementitious powder in hardened mortar under various temperature conditions. As a result of experiment, it is revealed that an effective development of recycling cement is possible since the cementitious powder by concrete waste recovers a hydraulic property during burning at $600^{\circ}C$ or $700^{\circ}C$. And it is shown that the fluidity of mortar decreases rapidly as the burning temperature of recycle cement increases. however, the improved effect of fluidity is predominant if adding the additive such as fly-ash or blast furnace slag.

  • The purpose of this experimental research is to investigate the mechanical properties of ordinary strength and high strength concrete containing waste glass powder. For this purpose, after production of concrete containing waste glass powder for different unit weight of binder and placement ratio of waste glass powder, optimum mixing proportions of them was determined, and then mechanical properties such as static modulus of elasticity as well as compressive, tensile and flexural strength were tested and analyzed for concrete produced according to optimum mixing proportions. As a result, the concrete containing waste glass powder has as excellent workability and strength, it's strengths are analogus to those of silica fume, it's workability is somewhat better than that of silica fume.

  • Recently, there have been many studies about recycling cementitious powder from concrete waste, generated after recycle aggregate production. Previous studies showed that when the heating process of waste powder in paste is dehydrated making possible the restoration of hydraulic properties. Thus the purpose of this study is to make an experimental review on properties of concrete products made vibration-compressive according to waste concrete powder.

  • According to the great city development and the rapid growth of redevelopment project, waste concrete emission has been increased. Waste concrete powder is one of the by-product originated from the recycling of the waste concrete. The more making high quality recycled aggregate to use aggregate for concrete, the more waste concrete powder is producted relatively. Therefore, to realize the total recycling of waste concrete, development of recycling technology for waste concrete powder need very much. This technical note present the discharged process and the various properties of waste concrete powder. As the results, on the average, the maximum particle-size of waste concrete powder is less than $600{\mu}m$, and oven-dry density is less than $2.5g/cm^3$. And waste concrete powder contains more than 50% of $SiO_2$, 30% of CaO and 10% of $Al_2O_3$. Thus qualities of waste concrete powder is lower than those of high quality raw material for concrete. However, if it is processed by grading to the purpose, it will be used as resource of raw materials for construction field.

  • In the recent concrete industry, when producing recycled aggregates, waste concrete powder is by-produced in large quantities; however, since it is not used properly but buried or discarded. This study is to apply the waste concrete powder to a cement extruding panel as filler. Flexural strength and microstructure characteristics of panel is tested in order to improve the economics of the extruding panel. As a results of this study, it was found that extruding panel replacing silica(No.8) as the waste concrete powder totally showed little difference in the strength and satisfied the target flexural strength of 14MPa, comparing with controlled panel. In addition, we can understand that rich Portlandite and Calcite contributed to develop the strength in all curing conditions from XRD pattern.

  • Recently, there have been many studies seeking towards the utilization of cementitious powder from concrete waste as recycled cement. However, most of the studies actually have been researches about the reuse of mortar or paste, not concrete waste. In fact, either mortar or paste is quite different from a real concrete waste in terms of age and mixture. Thus the purpose of this study is to examine basic physical properties of recycled cement, manufactured with cementitious powder from concrete waste, and analyze differences in chemical and hydraulic properties of the cement and its tested model. As a result of the chemical analysis, recycle cement is composed mainly of CaO and $SiO_2$, and that it is even lower in the content of CaO than Portland cement, which is also supported by previous studies. But, Differently from previous studies, calcining temperature of 650 was found an optimal condition under which cementitious powder from concrete waste could restore its hydraulic properties.

  • Marble is a metamorphic rock used widely in construction which increases amount of marble powder obtained from it. Marble powder is a waste product obtained from marble during its processing. Marble waste is high in calcium oxide content which is cementing property but it creates many environmental hazards too if left in environment or in water. In this research, partial replacement of cement and sand by waste marble powder (WMP) has been investigated. Seven concrete mixtures were prepared for this investigation by partially replacing cement, sand with WMP at proportions of 0%, 10% and 15% by weight separately and in combined form. To determine compressive strength, flexural strength and split tensile strength of concrete made with waste marble powder, the samples at the curing ages of 7, 28 and 90 days was recorded. Different tests of durability were applied on samples like ultrasonic pulse wave test, absorption and sorptivity. For further investigation all the results were compared and noticed that WMP has shown good results and enhancing mechanical properties of concrete mix on partially replacing with sand and cement in set proportions. Moreover, it will solve the problem of environmental health hazard.

  • Recently, there have been many studies about recycling cementitious powder from concrete waste(hereinafter referred to as waste powder), generated after recycle aggregate production. Previous studies showed that when the heating process of waste powder at $700^{\circ}C,\;Ca(OH)_2$ in paste is dehydrated making possible the restoration of hydraulic properties. Recycled cement with hydraulic properties restored is thought to be re-hydrated through the mechanism of hydration, which is almost similar in Portland cement. This clearly suggests that the hydrate of recycled cement is alkali in type. Like in general concrete, if recycled cement is used as a structural material, resistance performance against carbonation or neutralization by $CaCO_3$ in air probably would be most influential to the life of steel-reinforced concrete structure. Thus the purpose of this study is to make an experimental review on chemical properties of recycled cement, manufactured with concrete waste as base material, and investigate the durability of concrete using recycled cement through evaluating the cement s performance of resistance to carbonation in accordance with its accelerating age. Based on its results, further, the study seeks to provide basic information about ways of utilizing recycled cement.
