신호용 PEAK 전압 정밀검출에 관한 연구 (A Study on Accuracy Detection Method for Signal Peak Voltage)

  • In general, Diode makes a major role in electronic circuit. For example, switching of rectifier, cross current of switching rectifier, energy transfer of electronic element and reverse charge of capacitor, voltage insulation, energy feedback from load to power supply, and such as recovery of storaged energy. Generally, We regard power diode as ideal element, but it has a certain boundary actually, specially, We use diode for detecting circuit peak hold voltage signal. It has cut in voltage. It occurs error of measurement value namely. This error, below in region diode voltage drop (0.7v) measurement value is wholesome signal, Specially, We can not get precision data. Therefore, precision level is low between theoretical and measurement data because of error in actual circuit. Conclusionally, In this paper, We define the error concerning to the power diode characteristics which is used detecting of the minute signal, and recommend the method that minimize measurement error.

  • Conventional space vector pulse width modulation based asymmetrical dual inverter configuration produces high common mode voltage (CMV) variations. This CMV causes the flow of common mode current, which adversely affects the motor bearings and electromagnetic interference of nearby electronic systems. In this study, a simple and generalized carrier based pulse width modulation (PWM) technique is proposed for dual inverter configuration. This simple approach generates various continuous and discontinuous modulating signals based PWM algorithms. With the application of the discontinuous modulating signal based PWM algorithm to the asymmetrical dual inverter configuration, the CMV can be reduced with a slightly improved quality of output voltage. The performance of the continuous and discontinuous modulating signals based PWM algorithms is explored through both theoretical and experimental studies. Results show that the discontinuous modulating signal based PWM algorithm efficiently reduces the CMV and switching losses.

Study on Timing Characteristics of High-Voltage Pulse Generation with Different Charging Voltages

  • The time synchronization of each sub-unit of a pulsed generator is important to generate an output high-power radio frequency (RF) signal. To obtain the time synchronization between an input RF signal fed by an external source and an electron beam produced by an electric pulse generator, the influence of different charging voltages on a delay and a rise time of the output pulse waveform in the electric pulse generator should be carefully considered. This paper aims to study the timing characteristics of the delay and the rise time as a function of different charging voltages with a peak value of less than -35 kV in the high-voltage pulse generator, including a trigger generator (TG) and a pulse-forming line (PFL). The simulation has been carried out to estimate characteristics in the time domain, in addition to their output high-voltage amplitude. Experimental results compared with those obtained by simulation indicate that the delay of the output pulses of the TG and PFL, which are made by controlling the external triggering signal with respect to different charging voltages, is getting longer as the charging voltage is increasing, and their rise times are inversely proportional to the amplitude of the charging voltage.

  • 본 논문에서는 CMOS 공정을 이용하여 동작온도에 무관한 FVC(Frequency-to-Voltage Convener) 회로를 제안한다. FVC는 FLL(Frequency Locked Loop)의 핵심 회로로서 주파수 신호를 전압신호로 변환하는 회로이다. FLL 회로는 PLL(Phase-Locked Loop) 회로 같이 고정된 주파수 신호를 생성하는 회로지만, PLL과는 달리 위상비교기, charge pump, 저역 필터 등이 필요치 않아 간단히 회로를 구성할 수 있다. FVC 회로의 설계는 $0.25{\mu}m$ CMOS 공정을 이용하였다. 설계되어진 회로의 입력 주파수는 70MHz에서 140MHz를 사용하였다. 회로의 시뮬레이션 결과 동작 온도가 $0^{\circ}C$에서 $75^{\circ}C$까지 변화할 때 변환된 출력 전압의 변화는 상온에 비하여 ${\pm}2%$이내였다.

진성난수 생성기를 위한 베타선 센서 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of a Beta Ray Sensor for True Random Number Generators)

  • 본 논문에서는 진성난수 생성기를 위한 베타선 센서를 설계하였다. PMOS 피드백 트랜지스터의 게이트를 DC 전압으로 바이어스하는 대신 PMOS 피드백 트랜지스터에 흐르는 전류가 PVT 변동에 둔감하도록 설계된 전류 바이어스 회로를 mirroring하게 흐르도록 하므로 CSA의 signal voltage의 변동을 최소화하였다. 그리고 BGR (Bandgap Reference) 회로를 이용하여 공급된 정전류를 이용하여 신호 전압을 VCOM 전압 레벨까지 충전하므로 충전 시간의 변동을 줄여 고속 감지가 가능하도록 하였다. 0.18㎛ CMOS 공정으로 설계된 베타선 센서는 corner별 모의실험 결과 CSA 회로의 최소 신호전압과 최대 신호전압은 각각 205mV와 303mV이고, pulse shaper를 거친 출력 신호를 비교기의 VTHR (Threshold Voltage) 전압과 비교해서 발생된 펄스의 최소와 최대 폭은 각각 0.592㎲와 1.247㎲로 100kHz의 고속 감지가 가능한 결과가 나왔으며, 최대 100Kpulse/sec로 계수할 수 있도록 설계하였다.

USN응용과 범용목적에 적용가능한 센서 신호처리기 (Sensor signal processing device for USN application and general purpose)

  • In sensor signal conditioning and processing, offset and drift characteristics of an operational amplifier are an important factor when the amplifier is used for a precise sensor signal amplifier. In order to use it in high accuracy, an expensive trimming or a complex compensation circuit is required. This paper presents the improved sensor signal conditioning and processing device for ubiquitous sensor network(USN) application or general purpose by developing a hardware of the circuit for reducing the offset voltage and drift characteristics, and a software for its control and sensor signal processing. We realize better offset voltage and drift characteristics of the signal conditioning circuit using low cost operational amplifiers. The experimental results show that this technique is effective in improving the performance of the sensor signal processing device.

Compact Power-on Reset Circuit Using a Switched Capacitor

  • We propose a compact power-on reset circuit consisting of a switched capacitor, a capacitor, and a Schmitt trigger inverter. A switched capacitor working with a clock signal charges the capacitor. Thus, the voltage across the capacitor is increased toward the supply voltage. The circuit provides a reset pulse until the voltage across the capacitor reaches the high threshold voltage of the Schmitt trigger inverter. The proposed circuit is simple, compact, has no static power consumption, and works for a wide range of power-on rising times. Furthermore, the clock signal is available while the reset pulse is activated. The proposed circuit works for up to 6 s of power-on rising time, and occupies a $60{\times}30{\mu}m^2$ active area.

폴리머 애자의 내전압 특성에 따른 부분방전 측정과 자외선 검출 (PD Measure and UV Detection in according to Withstand Voltage Characteristics of Polymer Insulator)

  • The purposes of this paper ensure for the economical efficiency, accuracy, and good applications in domestic site set up the power installations. For the efficient conduct of these purposes, there are measured the partial discharge(PD) used by current probe and compared with detected signal of UV sensor. As the results, PD generated about 35% of breakdown voltage in polymer insulator. UV signal due to high voltage in polymer insulator is detected from about 1.7mV at 30kV to about 3mV at 70kV. Signal detected by ultra-sonic is increased at about 75% of breakdown voltage abruptly. It appears that error range is increased in boundary. UV sensor is needed must use from the practical and economical points of view.

  • In this paper, the authors propose a so-called new zero voltage switching circuit topology arts an improved PWM strategy. In order to minimize voltage stress in dc-ac high switching frequency power conversion, the proposal circuit is used as interface between DC sully and the PWM inverter. The new ZVS circuit provide PWM inverter with a short zero voltage period in the dc 1ink just before inverter switches operate. By using the proposed modulating signal (transformational sinewave) art carrier sinal (sawtooth ware), the amplitude of the fundamental component is increased about 15 percent more than that of a conventional sinusoidal modulating signal and triangular carrier signal, the switching tosses is reduced. Some simulative results on computer are included to confirm the validity of the analytical results.

  • In this paper, a novel 10kV, 50A, 50kHz pulsed power supply based on IGBT stacks is proposed. Proposed scheme consists of series connected 12 IGBT to generate maximum 10kV output pulse and 10kW full bridge phase-shifted zero voltage switching converter to charge DC capacitor voltage. Each IGBTs are sustain the 830V of capacitor voltage at turn off interval. By turn on the each IGBT for the same time it gives the path for the series connection of charged capacitor. From above turn on and off procedure, high voltage repetitive pulse is applied to the load. The synchronization of gating signal is important of series operation of IGBTs. For gating signal synchronization, specially designed gate power circuit using full bridge inverter and pulse transformer is developed to generate IGBT gating signal.
