A Design of an Interpolation Algorithm using the Adaptive Pseudomedian Filter (적응형 pseudomedian 필터를 이용한 보간 알고리즘의 설계)

  • Many techniques have been proposed for digital image enlargement, which use spatially neighbored pixels information in a still image. In this paper, we propose the digital image interpolation method that improves edge characteristics by selectively transposing the sub-windows of pseudomedian filter, which results in relatively better performance than others. We have simulated the proposed algorithm using Visual C++ and verified performance of the algorithm by PSNR(Peak signal Noise Ratio) and edge characteristics. Finally, we have designed the adaptive pseudomedian by using synopsys VHDL(Very high speed integrated circuit Hardware Description Language).

  • 본 논문에서는 정보교과에서 알고리즘 및 프로그래밍 관련 학습을 진행하는데 있어서, 기존의 텍스트 기반 프로그래밍과 로보틱스 프로그래밍으로 프로그래밍 학습을 하였을 때의 학습 효과에 대해서 분석하였다. 연구는 초등학교 고학년 학생들을 대상으로 하였고, 학습에 필요한 학습 프로그램은 기존 텍스트기반 프로그래밍 학습 도구로는 Visual C를, 로보틱스 프로그래밍 학습도구로는 MSRDS(Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio)에서 제공하는 Visual Programming Language를 이용하였다. 그 결과 학생들의 흥미도와 몰입도가 상승하였고, 알고리즘 이해도와 과제 수행 능력이 증가하였음을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 로보틱스 프로그래밍 학습은 개정 교육과정에서 제안하는 알고리즘을 통한 문제해결능력 신장에 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

Reasons for Variation in Sensitivity and Specificity of Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) for the Detection of Pre-Cancer and Cancer Lesions of Uterine Cervix

  • Alternative strategies such as visual inspection of cervix with acetic acid, are real time, economical and easily implemented methods for cervical cancer screening. However, variable sensitivity and specificity have been observed in various community based studies. The possible reasons could include variation in man power training, light source used for visualization, and preparation of diluted (4-5%) acetic acid and its storage. A standardized protocol for training, teaching material (easy to understand in the local language) for trainees, supervision and reinforcement by intermittent and supplementary training to check the quality of their observation, a standard protocol for preparation dilute acetic acid and its storage and a standard good light source (equivalent to day light) are needed to minimize the variation in sensitivity and specificity of VIA in community settings.

  • In this paper, we developed a Windows 98 version of-line programming system which can simulate a track vehicle model in 3D graphics space. The track vehicle was adopted as an objective model. The interface between users and the off-line program system in the Windows 98's graphic user interface environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by Silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for 3D Graphics.

  • We propose a unmaned integrating control system based-on Windows XP version Off-Line Programming System which can simulate a Robot model in 3D Graphics space in this paper. The robot with 4 and 6 axes modeled SM5 and AM1 respectively were adopted as an objective model. Forward kinematics, inverse kinematics and robot dynamics modeling were included in the developed off-line program. The interface between users and the off-line programming system in the Windows XP's graphic user interface environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for 3D Graphics.

  • Since the 1980s, a number of professionals in the ESL/EFL field have investigated the role of pronunciation in the ESL/EFL curriculum. Applying the insights gained from the second language acquisition research, these efforts have focused on the integration of pronunciation teaching and learning into the communicative curriculum, with a shift towards overall intelligibility as the primary goal of pronunciation teaching and learning. The present study reports on the efficacy of audio-visual aids and hyper-pronunciation training method in teaching the productions of English consonants to Japanese college students. The talk will focus on the implications of the present study, and the presenter makes suggestions to teaching pronunciation to Japanese learners.

  • The study aims at looking, into conceptual transfer of environment between Minimal Art and Minimalism architecture and analysing architectural expressional characteristics which could visually show pro-environmental expression from concept of environment-orientation in the architecture in regional minimalism. This study issued the survey of Minimalism architecture as newly architectural trend since Late-Modernism, and pro-environment as important paradigm in the near future. In this analyses, the characteristics of pro-environmental expression can be classified as follow ; a the brightness and darkness of light, b. the perspective view of simplified wall, c. the visualization of environmental characteristics, d. the transparency and reflectiveness of glass, e. the all direction of cube, f. the visual division of architecture. These show that symbolized variety implying expression variety and implying Oriental view of nature were expressed as unique language of regional Minimalism architecture, by visual simplicity as characteristics of Minimalism and Occidental Modernism as motive of Minimalism.
