Previous studies of syllable frequency effects have proposed that inhibitory effects due to high first syllable frequency were the products of competitions between activated lexical candidates within a lexical level. However, these studies have primarily used lexical decision tasks to examine the nature of syllable frequency effects. This study investigates whether a syllable frequency effect can arise in semantic categorization tasks and whether phonologically or orthographically defined syllables interact with semantically related variables such as morphological family size. If the syllable frequency effect was created by activations and competitions on a lexical level, it is highly possible that the effect was related to semantic categorization tasks. To test this hypothesis, we conducted two experiments. In Experiment 1, morphological family size and phonological syllable frequency were factorially manipulated. In Experiment 2, morphological family size and orthographic syllable frequency were factorially manipulated. The results demonstrate that morphemes have no relationship with phonological syllables but do with orthographic syllables. This suggests that phonological syllables and orthographic syllables have different roles in the syllable frequency effect on visual word recognition process.

Through the Airbone LiDAR point, the study for three-dimensional modeling of the city zone has been in progress. So, deciding the Density of Airbone LiDAR point for that is very important to get a result of three-dimensional modeling of the city zone and make efficient use of airbone LiDAR. This study made the standard density to decide the optimum density of Airbone LiDAR point in the city zone. Through each standard density point of DSM and the outline of the buildings, It executed the visual evaluation and the accuracy inspection to decide the optimum density point, and presented the optimum density for the airbone LiDAR point in the city zone.
We modeled fish school movements as a capture process in relation to the purse seine method using the three steps of the stimulus-response process (i.e., input stimuli, central decision-making and output reaction). Input stimuli of the model were categorized as either physical stimuli such as visual stimulus, sound stimulus, water flow, and weather or as biological stimuli such as species and size, swimming performance, sensual sensitivity, and presence of prey or predators. The output process determining the spatial orientation of the fish school for 3-D movements was based on swimming speed and angular change in the fish response, and these movements were animated as the relative geometry between the fish school and the purse seine. Simulations were carried out for skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) schools reacting to a pelagic purse seine in the southwest Pacific Ocean. Simulation results showed that escape ratios varied from 20 to 70% by the relevant ranges in the stimulus-response thresholds, swimming speeds, and angular changes of fish schools were similar to those observed in the field. Therefore, with knowledge of relevant parameters, this model can be used to predict capture and escape probabilities of purse seine operations for different fish species or conditions.
The objective of this study is to integrate the business, maintenance and production processes of a manufacturing system by incorporating errors. First, the required functions are estimated according to the historical data. The system activities are simulated by Visual SLAM software and the required outputs are obtained. Several outputs including lead times in different dimensions, total cost and production rates are computed through simulation. Finally, data envelopment analysis (DEA) is utilized in order to select the best option between the defined scenarios due to the multi-criteria feature of the problem. This is the first study in which the lead times, cost and production rates are simultaneously considered in the integrated system imposed of business, maintenance and production processes by incorporating errors. In the current study, the major bottlenecks of the system being studied are identified and suggested different strategies to improve the system and make the best decision.
Usability is one of the most important factors that affect customers' decision to purchase a product. Several studies have been conducted to model the relationship between the product design variables and the product usability. Since there could be hundreds of design variables to be considered in the model, a variable screening method is required. Traditional variable screening methods are based on expert opinions (Expert screening) in most Kansei engineering studies. Suggested in this study are statistical methods for screening important design variables by using the principal component regression(PCR), cluster analysis, and partial least squares(PLS) method. Product variables with high effect (PCR screening and PLS screening) or representative variables (Cluster screening) can be used to model the usability. Proposed variable screening methods are used to model the usability for 36 audio/visual products. The three analysis methods (PCR, Cluster, and PLS) show better model performance than the Expert screening in terms of $R^2$, the number of variables in the model, and PRESS. It is expected that these methods can be used for screening the product design variables efficiently.
We have to select business Item at various alternatives through BMO Evaluation Method. This study suggested selection method best business item using Visual Basic Program. Selection item of business item is technically power, capital strength, business administration capability, Maketings, Possible total sales, Goods of future growth, Expectations of competition goods, Creation of goods, and Management. Evaluation of each item value, add total values. It is important that business item selected well for adapted business. It should be able to decide business item using this study's program.
In this paper, a PMS(Pavement Management System) is presented for the public agency who wish to execute rational repair by referring to asset management information regarding road pavement. The aim of the paper is to provide the decision makers with the planning information regarding maintenance strategies for efficient road pavement management. We found that life cycle cost can be minimized and repair cost in each year fluctuates when repeating repair at the IRI management level. The validity of PMS application presented in this paper is investigated through case studies for conducted for 22 national highway road sections in Korea.

This paper specifically delineated the methodological application of constructivism in smart tourism studies. It explained what constructivism is and how this methodology could be applied in the study of smart tourism. In this study, residents of Seoul participated in constructivist research using the Q method to identify their subjectivities toward Seoul based on photographs most commonly found in tourism promotional material. Residents are concerned with good governance and cultural integrity, and they are aware of their role as stakeholders in tourism in their communities. However their potential contribution to destination image formation has been usually overlooked by researchers and marketers. Three clusters of subjectivities were revealed after 42 photographs of Seoul were sorted by 37 respondents. The results show how respondents perceived Seoul's destination image. The three clusters agreed that symbolic monuments were the key representations of Seoul. The paper recommends that tourism marketers and policy makers should focus on understanding and coordinating with residents' perceived image of Seoul as a destination when planning and decision making, especially in promoting Seoul as a destination market. This study, in conjunction with other constructivist research offers insight into how destination image is, especially with the rise of smart tourism, a complex social construction.
Choosing an appropriate sample unit is a fundamental decision in the design of ecological studies. While numer-ous methods have been developed to estimate organism abundance, they differ in cost, accuracy and precision.Using both field data and computer simulation modeling, we evaluated the costs and benefits associated with twomethods commonly used to sample benthic organisms in temperatc kelp forests. One of these methods, theTargeted Sampling method, relies on different sample units, each "targeted" for a specific species or group ofspecies while the other method relies on coefficients that represent ranges of bottom cover obtained from visual esti-mates within standardized sample units. Both the field data and the computer simulations suggest that both meth-ods yield remarkably similar estimates of organisnm abundance and among-site variability, although the Coefficientmethod slightly underestimates variability armong sample units when abundances are low. In contrast, the twomethods differ considerably in the effort needed to sample these communities; the Targeted Sampling requiresmore time and twice the persormel to complete. We conclude that the Coeffident Sampling metliod may be bettcrfor environmental monitoring programs where changes in mean abundance are of central conccm and resources arelimiting, but that the Targeted sampling methods may be better for ecological studies where quantitative reIation-ships among species and small-scale variability in abundance are of central concern.
In this paper, we propose a new framework for detecting the unauthorized dumping of garbage in real-world surveillance camera. Although several action/behavior recognition methods have been investigated, these studies are hardly applicable to real-world scenarios because they are mainly focused on well-refined datasets. Because the dumping actions in the real-world take a variety of forms, building a new method to disclose the actions instead of exploiting previous approaches is a better strategy. We detected the dumping action by the change in relation between a person and the object being held by them. To find the person-held object of indefinite form, we used a background subtraction algorithm and human joint estimation. The person-held object was then tracked and the relation model between the joints and objects was built. Finally, the dumping action was detected through the voting-based decision module. In the experiments, we show the effectiveness of the proposed method by testing on real-world videos containing various dumping actions. In addition, the proposed framework is implemented in a real-time monitoring system through a fast online algorithm.
