임상실습 중 치위생과 학생들이 경험한 언어폭력이 자아존중감 및 진로정체감에 미치는 영향 (The effect of verbal violence experienced by dental hygiene students during clinical practice on their self-esteem and career identity)

  • Background: To confirm verbal violence experience in dental hygiene students and to verify its influence on their self-esteem and career identity. Methods: Data were collected using a structured self-reported questionnaire targeting 180 dental hygiene students at M University. Descriptive statistics, one-way analysis of variance, t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis were performed using SPSS WIN 25.0. Results: Older students reported that they experienced verbal violence more frequently during clinical training, especially those who were dissatisfied with clinical training. The students experienced verbal violence more frequently from dental hygienists than from dentists and patients. Dental hygiene students had high self-esteem and career identity. The students who were majorly satisfied with clinical training had higher self-esteem and career identity than those who were dissatisfied. Dental hygiene students had lower self-esteem and career identity when they experience verbal violence more frequently from dentists and dental hygienists during clinical training and clinical practice. Conclusion: An intervention program needs to be developed to prevent verbal violence against dental hygiene students and a strategy to increase their self-esteem and career identity is required.

수술실 간호사의 언어폭력유형, 정서적 반응과 대처에 대한 융합연구 (Verbal Violence Type in Operating Room Nurses, Fusion Study on Emotional Response and Coping)

  • 본 연구는 수술실 간호사의 언어폭력유형, 정서적 반응과 대처와의 관계를 규명하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구 대상은 종합병원 20곳 수술실에 근무하는 간호사 400명을 편의 추출하였고, 총 382부 중 372부가 분석되었다. 분석결과, 대상자가 경험한 언어폭력 가해자는 의사, 직속상사가 많았고, 대상자의 과반수이상이 이직을 생각하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 언어폭력이 발생하는 상황은 수술동안 사용해야 할 혹은 사용 중인 장비가 기능을 못할 때가 가장 많았고, 폭력유형은 반말을 한다가 가장 높게 나타났다. 언어폭력경험은 결혼, 임상경력, 근무형태에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였고, 언어폭력 정서적 반응은 성별, 직위와 대처와는 연령, 학력, 임상경력, 직위와 유의한 차이를 보였다. 언어폭력 경험과 정서적 반응, 정서적 반응과 대처간의 유의한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구결과는 언어폭력 대처방법 및 예방교육 프로그램 개발에 일조할 것이다.

포스트휴먼 시대 청소년의 정신 건강: 비대면 대화 매체 사용과 언어폭력 관련성 연구 (The Mental Health of Adolescents in the Post-Human Era: A Study of the Relationship Between Non Face-To-Face Communication Media and Verbal Violence)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to identify the problems of verbal violence that adolescents face in the post-human age, when the non-face-to-face media is increasing. Methods: A survey was conducted on 305 adolescents, aged 14 to 16 years of middle school and high school students. The data were analyzed with the SPSS 25.0. Results: As a result of conducting multiple regression analysis to identify the type of conversation that affects verbal abuse of adolescents, a model with a conversation with family, conversation with other people, messenger conversation such as KakaoTalk, and video chat conversation was selected. The amount of explanation was 11.4%. (R2 = .114) Of these, non-face-to-face conversations have been shown to increase verbal violence, and face-to-face conversations with family have, in turn, lowered the risk. As a result of t-testing to examine the effect of verbal abuse experience on the verbal violence index, the damage experience was significant in depression (p = .042) and impulsive aggression (p = .021). (P = .000). Conclusion: This study reiterates the importance of family dialogue along with the fact that the development of various non-face-to-face media in the Fourth Industrial Revolution can have a negative impact on adolescent mental health.

일개 중소병원 간호사가 경험한 언어적, 신체적 폭력 사건 실태 (A Survey on Nurses' Experience of Verbal and Physical Violence in Small and Medium-sized Hospitals)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the types of violence experienced by small and medium sized hospital nurses. Methods: Data were collected from March 1 to 30, 2017, using self-report questionnaires. Responses from 87 nurses were analyzed using descriptive statistics, $x^2$ test, Fisher's exact test, t-test. Results: The majority of the respondents experienced violence from patients (60.2%), visitors (25.5%), doctors (12.2%), and other staffs (2.0%). Verbal violence (80.5%) and physical threats (74.7%) were more frequent than physical violence (25.3%). Violence occurred throughout the hospital. However, verbal violence ($x^2=20.85$, p=.005) and physical threat ($x^2=20.80$, p=.006) were statistically significant according to the department. Violence occurred most frequently in surgical ward, followed by artificial kidney room, emergency room, and outpatient department. Conclusion: Most nurses are exposed to frequent violence. These results suggest that hospital should improve the respective organizational cultures and develop promotional programs and administrative policies to prevent violence. Also, hospitals should develop of violence intervention policies and education programs and counseling programs for nurses.

병원 내 간호사의 언어폭력 경험에 관한 연구 (Nurses's Experience of Verbal Violence in Hospital Setting)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this phenomenological research was to identify nurses's experience of verbal violence from doctor in hospital setting. Methods: The participants of this study were twelve nurses who work at a hospital in Chungbuk. Data was collected through documents, observation, and tape-recorded in-depth interview individually from participants. It was analyzed using the phenomenological methodology by Colaizzi. Results: From significant statements, seven categories were identified as follows: Lowering self-esteem due to authoritative and insulting remarks, Getting angry and being disagreeable due to blunt remarks, Being disgraceful due to broad jokes sexually, Hoping to escape present due to skepticism in their job, Being estranged due to bad feeling, Expressing their anger, and Using various way for improvement of relationship. Conclusion: Nurses's experience of verbal violence was showed nurse-doctor relationship was still vertical, not collaborative and supportive. This vertical relationship would cause conflicts between doctor and nurse. Therefore it is need doctor to be changed the mind that nurse is a professional, and to come up with the plan for enhancing inter-collaborative relationship in order to solve conflict between them.

유통업 근로자의 직장폭력 경험 실태 (Conditions of Workplace Violence Experience among Workers in the Distribution Industry)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore violence experienced by workers in the distribution industry. Methods: The research subjects were 236 workers from 2 department stores and 1 large scale discount store located in Daejeon City, Korea. The collected data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, $x^2$-test, and logistic regression analysis. Results: 72.9% of the research subjects experienced verbal violence, and 9.3% of the respondents experienced physical violence during last year. 17.8% of the respondents reported that they had experience of sexual harassment at their workplaces. The variables which affected verbal violence included working departments and stress level, whereas the variable that affected physical violence was educational level of workers. The variables that affected experience of sexual harassment turned out to be gender as well as the duration of work at the current workplaces. Conclusion: The findings from this research revealed that many of the workers engaged in the distribution industry were exposed to workplace violence. For the reduction of risk of workplace violence for these workers, it is required to develop and execute programs including violence related policies and education about workplace violence.

간호사의 직장폭력 경험에 따른 분노 및 외상 후 스트레스 장애 (The Influence of Workplace Violence on Anger and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder among Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was done to identify the influence of workplace violence on anger and post traumatic stress disorder among nurses. Methods: The research design for this study was a descriptive survey design using a random sampling. Data collection was done using self-questionnaire with 477 nurses. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$-test and logistics regression. Results: The incidences of total violence, verbal, physical, and sexual violence were 31.2%, 28.7%, 6.3%, 3.6% of the nurses, respectively. Anger was significantly associated with verbal violence (OR: 2.34, CI: 1.40~3.91) and physical violence (OR:4.85 CI: 1.67~14.13). Post traumatic stress disorder was significantly associated with verbal violence (OR: 15.99, CI: 9.58~26.69) and physical violence (OR: 5.37, CI: 1.66~17.40). Conclusion: To promote psychological health in nurses, there is a need to develop prevention programs to decrease workplace violence and to develop programs supporting psychological aspects of verbal violence that nurses experience.

學校에서의 高學生의 攻擊行動에 관한 硏究 (A Study on the High School Student's Aggressive Behavior in School)

  • The purpose of the study is to examine the realities of the high school students's aggressive behavior, and to analyze factors causing aggressive behavior. Subjects were 418 Humanity High School students of 2nd grades in pusan. Analysis methods were used to frequency, percentage, t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression of SPSS program. The results are as follows ; 1) Male students are more aggressive than female students. 2) The more verbal aggression is the more physical aggression. 3) Students with the experience of parent-child violence are more aggressive. 4) Students with observation of parents's violence are more aggressive. 5) Family's social economic status is not related to the aggressive behavior. 6) Male students not admitted by teacher are more aggressive in verbal and physical behavior. 7) Female students not admitted by friend are more aggressive in verbal and physical behavior. 8) Students with deliquent friends are more aggressive in verbal and physical behavior. 9) Students with Academic anxiety are more aggressive in verbal behavior. 10) the variables influential to verbal aggressive behavior are sex, a delinquent friends and academic anaxiety. These factors explain 23.5% of the total variance of verbal aggressive behavior variables. The variables influential to physical aggressive behavior are a delinquent friends, sex, experience of parent-child violence and teacher's denial attitude. These factors explain 29.6% of the total variance for physical aggressive behavior variables.

노인경비원의 폭력피해 경험과 직무스트레스에 대한 연구 (A study of elderly private security guards about their victimization experience in the workplace and their perception of occupational stress)

  • 전반적인 사회의 고령화 추세에 따라 민간경비에 종사하는 노인근로자의 비중은 갈수록 증가하고 있다. 그러나, 노인경비원에 대한 선행연구는 아직 많지 않고, 특히, 노인경비원이 폭력피해를 당할 위험에 상당 부분 노출되어 있어 그들의 폭력피해 경험에 대한 실태조사가 시급하다. 본 연구는 전국의 55세 이상 노인경비원을 표본으로 추출하여 그들이 경험한 신체적 언어적 폭력피해에 대해 설문조사를 시행하였다. 또한, 폭력피해 경험의 여부가 노인경비원들이 인식하는 직무스트레스의 수준에 영향을 주는지 알아보았다. 결과에 따르면, 설문에 참여한 노인경비원들은 신체적 폭력피해보다 언어적 폭력 피해를 더 많이 경험한 것으로 응답하였고, 직장 내 상사나 동료보다는 고객으로부터의 폭력이 더 많은 것으로 나타났다. 직무스트레스와 관련하여 언어적 폭력피해를 경험한 노인경비원이 그렇지 않은 경비원에 비해 직무스트레스를 더 많이 느끼고 있었다. 신체적 폭력피해의 경험은 유의미한 결과를 보이지 않았다. 노인근로자를 대상으로 행해지는 신체적 언어적 폭력을 감소시킬 수 있는 제도적 장치의 마련이 필요하다.

언어폭력경험이 이직의도에 미치는 영향과 이용자-제공자 교환관계(CMX)와 직무만족의 매개효과검증 - 건강가정지원센터 일반직과 아이돌봄직의 다집단분석과 잠재평균차이 검증 - (The Effects of Verbal Violence Experience on Turnover Intention and the Mediating Effect of Customer-member Exchange(CMX) and Job Satisfaction - Multi-group and Latent Means Analysis across Job Position -)

  • 본 연구는 사회복지서비스 제공자들이 이용자로부터 당하는 언어폭력경험이 이직의도에 미치는 영향을 확인하고, 두 변수의 관계에서 이용자-제공자 교환관계(CMX)와 직무만족의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 더불어 해당 변수들의 관계에서 직종 간에 차이가 있는지를 알아보고자 건강가정지원센터 직원들을 일반직과 아이돌봄직으로 구분하여 다집단분석과 잠재평균차이 분석을 시도하였다. 연구목적을 위해 서울 및 경기지역 건강가정지원센터 56곳에서 근무하는 직원들을 대상으로 전수조사하여 319개의 응답을 최종분석에 활용하였고, 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회복지서비스 제공자들의 언어폭력경험과 이용자-제공자 교환관계, CMX와 직무만족 그리고 직무만족과 이직의도 간의 관계는 통계적으로 유의미한 것으로 검증되었다. 둘째, 언어폭력경험과 이직의도 사이에서 CMX와 직무만족이 완전매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, CMX와 직무만족을 매개로 하여 언어폭력경험이 이직의도에 미치는 구조적 관계에서 직종 간 차이는 없었으나, 언어폭력경험과 CMX의 잠재평균은 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 이러한 연구결과에 따라 사회복지서비스 제공자들에 대한 언어폭력경험의 부정적 영향을 최소화하고 CMX 질을 높이기 위한 실천적 정책적 방안들을 제언하였다.
