수학수업에서 의사소통 분석 -언어상호작용을 중심으로- (An Analysis on Communication in a Math Class - Based on Verbal Interactions -)

  • From a social constructivists' perspective, knowledge is not transmitted by language but it is constructed by social interactions with others. That is, it is viewed in social constructivism that learning is a process in which knowledge is constructed by communicative interactions with more capable others. In this vein, a class might be analyzed and characterized in terms of interactional patterns of teacher-student and student-student in class. For this, a primary math class was selected and observed and it was analyzed by the Flanders category system to investigate the effects of the math teaching based on verbal interactions on the learning of math. The class was taught in a teacher-centered and direct way but in the class math knowledge was taught through univocal communications in the form of question-answer. The results of this study appeared to suggest that verbal interactional patterns should take place frequently in math teaching in the sequence of a teacher's questions$\to$students' extensive responses $\to$ positive feedback for the students' responses by the teacher $\to$ the acceptance of the students' responses $\to$ the teacher's explanation or students' questions. In other words, math might be taught more effectively through the verbal discourse patterns proposed in this study.

과학영재 학생의 학습 특성에 관한 사례연구 -소집단에서의 언어적, 비언어적 상호작용을 중심으로- (A Case Study on the Learning Characteristics of Science-Gifted Students in Jeonnam Province -Focused on Verbal and Nonverbal Interactions in Small Group-)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate gifted students' verbal-nonverbal interactions in small grouped classes and to classify them into characteristics. For this study, an instrument to measure gifted student's verbal-nonverbal interactions was developed. The subjects were 16 students of 5th and 6th grades at H-area gifted center in rural area. Video recorded was classified each 5minutes by researchers. The results were as follows; First, verbal interactions were about 27% and non-verbal interactions were about 73%. Activities unrelated to learning were about 20%. Second, high achievement gifted students enjoyed verbal interactions including discussions. Third, gifted students can be classified 3 types(Spoken-centered, Written-centered and Played-centered) by interactions. The results revealed that gifted student's verbal-nonverbal interactions played an important role in communication between students and teacher as well as students. Small-grouped instructions according to characteristic and levels of gifted students are needed in gifted science education.

외식업 직원의 비언어적 커뮤니케이션이 고객감정, 고객만족, 고객신뢰 그리고 재방문의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Non Verbal Communication of Restaurant Employees on Customer Emotion, Customer Satisfaction, Customer Trust, and Revisit Intention)

  • Purpose - Non-verbal Communication with customers in restaurant business can play an important role because it affects customer behavior and attitudes as a means to develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of non-verbal communication with customers and the effect of the influence on customer satisfaction, trust, and revisit intention. Research design, data, methodology - In order to verify the research models and hypotheses of this study, questions were prepared for each variable and data were collected through questionnaires. The questionnaire survey was conducted from March 27, 2018 to April 17, 2018, for those who agreed with the citizens of the Jeju area who visited the restaurant recently. 50 out of 100 were conducted by internet survey and 50 were surveyed. Thus, a total of 100 responses were used using structural equation modeling with Smartpls 3.0. Results - The results of the study are as follows. First, non-verbal communication has a significant impact on customer emotion. Second customer emotion have a significant impact on customer trust and satisfaction. Third, Customer satisfaction had positive a significant effect on revisit intention. Fourth, Customer trust had positive a significant effect on revisit intention. Conclusions - The implications of this study are following as: The food service company should continuously provide non-verbal communication training to employees so that they can respond to customers with the right attitude and bright smile. In particular, in the case of restaurant franchises, customer response manuals should be created and distributed to the franchisees, and a regular training program for the franchisees should be implemented to provide the same service to the customer. Second, CEOs should have to worry about what kind of experience he or she has left since leaving the store. It is also necessary to constantly look at what customers experience in their stores or in their brands, and what emotions they form through their experiences. Third, the more satisfied or trusted customers are formed through the service of the employee, the more loyal the restaurant business will be, and the more likely it is to make continuous revisit and positive word-of-mouth activities..

이미지 사전을 이용한 보완대체 의사소통 시스템의 구현 (Implementation of Augmentative and Alternative Communication System Using Image Dictionary)

  • 본 논문에서는 언어장애인이 이미지를 사용하여 쉽게 의사를 전달할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 이미지 사전에 기반을 둔 보완대체 의사소통 도구를 구현하였다. 일반적으로 언어장애를 가지고 있는 사람들은 그들의 의사를 전달하기 위하여 몇 개의 제한된 언어를 사용한다. 또한 언어 장애인들에게는 말로서 의사를 전달하는 데에는 어려움이 있기 때문에 이미지를 사용하면 훨씬 효과적으로 의사소통을 할 수 있다. 따라서 대화자의 의사전달의 핵심을 이루는 동사와 형용사에 해당하는 단어에 대하여 이미지들을 제작하고, 이 이미지들과 결합할 수 있는 명사 이미지와의 의미관계를 패턴으로 정의하여, 이미지 사전을 구축하였다. 본 논문의 보완대체 의사소통 시스템은 사용자가 동사의 이미지를 클릭하고, 이 이미지의 의미관계를 기반으로 하는 결합 패턴의 구성요소인 명사의 이미지를 선택하여 문장을 생성한다. 구현된 시스템은 언어장애아들을 대상으로 그들이 얼마나 효율적으로 의사를 전달할 수 있는지에 대하여 평가되었으며, 약 70% 이상의 대화 성공률을 보였다.

  • In animated films, characters materialize narratives through acting. The narrative is an element to materialize accurate delivery of lines and emotions. The non-verbal actions should express lots of emotions and lines in scenes, and also they can be used as a way of empathy. This study analyzed the visualization factors of narrative focusing on a cat character frequently shown in animated films. For this, the visualization factors of non-verbal actions expressed in characters' personal space and dynamic space were extracted. Based on this, it aims to suggest the emotion expressing method of characters to realize effective narrative visualization. In the future, it aims to be used as reference data in case when producing non-verbal communication for 3D characters.

  • In modern business organization, the most important strategic factor in maintaining competitive advantage in business is to manage and utilize human resources effectively, which has eventually increased workload and psychological pressure in organizations. And research show that increased workload and psychological pressure has produced various tensions in business organizations, and it appears that those tensions have increased the workplace aggressive behavior among employees. In various types of aggressive behavior, this study focuses on verbal aggression. The study also attempts to find out the relationships among verbal aggression, job involvement, and turnover intention among administrative workers in colleges from May 20 to May 26, 2015. Summary of the research result is as follows. First of all, the study shows that verbal aggression directly increases the employee turnover intention.

영아의 비언어적 의사소통과 어머니의 언어적 행동 및 영아 어휘력 간의 관계 (The Relationships among Infants' Nonverbal Communication, Maternal Verbal Behaviors and the Infants' Acquisition of Vocabulary)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among infants' nonverbal communication, maternal verbal behaviors and the infants' acquisition of vocabulary. The subjects were 93 pairs of 10 to 18 months old infants and their mothers residing in the Seoul and GyeongGi-Do area. The results were as follows : (1) In terms of the infants' nonverbal communicative means, it appeared that the group of 16~18 month olds utilized more gesture and vocalization. As regards the infants' nonverbal communicative functions in terms of social behavior and joint attention, the group of 16~18 month olds was found to perform more of the behaviors from this category than the other groups. There was a significant difference in the maternal verbal behavior among the different age groups. (2) Among the infants' nonverbal communicative means, gesture and vocalization, there appeared to be a significant relationship between vocalization and the infants' acquisition of vocabulary. In addition, there was an important relationship between the high usage of infants' nonverbal communicative functions with behavior regulation and the high usage of joint attention and the successful acquisition of vocabulary among infants. (3) Social play, which is a maternal verbal behavior categorized as one of the strategies for getting infants' attention, was significantly related to the acquisition of infants' vocabulary. (4) When mothers used more imitating sounds and mimetic words, requests for information, descriptions, conventional social expressions, and imitation to enhance responsiveness, infants were found to have acquired a larger vocabulary.

티셔츠 문양의 커뮤니케이션 기능 및 이를 응용한 디자인 연구 (A Study on T-shirt Patterns as Communication and Its Design Application)

  • Clothing not only offers protection for the body and an aesthetic function but also accomplishes a communication role by delivering a message. And symbolic meanings of clothes deliver important information about the wearer. The T-shirt is one of the most popular items of clothing because of its simplicity and utility, In particular, T-shirt patterns, being simple forms, accomplish non-verbal communication directly by making possible the expression of an idea and showing the personality of the wearer. For these reasons, the T-shirt is becoming established as an Important item of clothing that shows one's personality and individuality in modern society. One purpose of this study is to confirm the communication function of fashion and understand that fashion plays an important symbolic role as a means of communication. Another purpose is to see how T-shirt patterns relate to human communication, through studying of widely accepted T-shirt in modern society. The final purpose is to develop a T-shirt design application based on this study and show how T-skirts contribute to expressing one's individuality and deliver ideas about society through clothing. The results of this study are as follows: 1. T-shirt patterns play a part in non-verbal communication. 2. T-shirt patterns have been variously expressed through conditions of society, culture and types of patterns, and formation techniques. 3. The communication function of T-shirt patterns have been classified to 5 categories; publicity, persuasion, solidarity, art, and fashion. 4 T-shirt design patterns were developed and produced. 5. T-shirt patterns could be useful ways to express individuality of oneself today.

제스처 인식을 위한 손가락 개수 인식 방법 (A Finger Counting Method for Gesture Recognition)

  • 인간은 의사소통을 통해서 상호관계를 유지시키고 발전시켜나간다. 의사소통은 크게 언어적 의사소통과 비언어적 의사소통으로 나뉜다. 언어적 의사소통은 말 또는 글을 사용하는 것이고 비언어적 의사소통은 몸동작으로 의사를 전달하는 것이다. 우리는 일상생활에서 대화를 할 때 말과 더불어 제스처를 함께 사용한다. 제스처는 비언어적 의사소통에 속하며, 다양한 형태와 움직임으로 의사를 전달할 수 있다. 이러한 이유로 제스처는 HCI 분야와 HRI 분야에서 NUI/NUX를 구현하기 위한 수단으로 각광받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 키넥트와 손의 기하학적인 특징을 사용하여 손 영역 검출과 손가락 개수를 인식하는 방법을 제안한다. 키넥트가 제공하는 깊이 영상을 이용하여 영상에서 손 영역을 검출하고 손의 윤곽선과 중점의 거리를 비교하여 손가락 개수를 파악한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법에 따른 손가락 개수 인식률은 평균 98.5%이고 수행시간은 0.065ms이다. 이 방법은 기존의 연구와 비교 했을 때, 인식 속도가 빠르며, 복잡도가 O(n),으로써 성능 또한 우수하다. 향후 이를 통해 제스처의 인식 가능한 범위를 증가시켜 보다 컴퓨터와 인간의 상호작용이 수월해지는데 도움이 될 것이다.

해부설명회의 도입에 따른 의학전문대학원생들의 자기 평가 요인과 학업성취도 상관관계 분석 (Correlation between Self-evaluation Factor and Academic Achievement of Medical Students according to Introduction of Explanation Meeting in Cadaveric Dissection)

  • 본 연구에서는 해부학 실습 교육과정에 해부설명회를 도입에 따른 의학전문대학원생들의 자기평가요인(만족도, 전공 연계성, 운영 적절성, 의사소통)과 학업성취도와의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 2008학년도 1학기 해부학 실습교육을 받은 의학전문대학원생들(n=57)이 일부 수업시간을 활용하여 해부설명회에 참가하였고, 보건 의료 계통의 학부생들에게 사체를 활용하여 인체 구조에 대한 설명과 토론을 마친 후 설문지와 소감문을 작성하게 하였다. 이를 바탕으로 자기 평가 요인들을 분석하였고, 2008학년도 해부학 성적과의 상관관계를 조사하였다. 설문 대상자의 일반적 특성에 따른 자기 평가 요인을 분석한 결과, 성별, 연령, 과거 경험 유무 등의 일반적 특성과 상관없이 만족도, 전공 연계성, 운영 적절성, 언어적 및 비언어적 커뮤니케이션 모두에서 높은 수치를 나타내었다. 자기 평가 요인 중 학업성취도와 높은 상관관계를 갖는 요인은 언어적 커뮤니케이션이었다(p<0.05). 또한 언어적 커뮤니케이션은 비언어적 커뮤니케이션과도 높은 상관관계를 가졌다(r=0.673, p<0.01). 결론적으로 커뮤니케이션 기법을 활용한 해부설명회의 도입은 의전원 학생들에게 심화 학습의 기회를 제공하였고 학습동기를 유발시키며, 적극적인 학습태도를 갖게 하였다. 아울러 커뮤니케이션에 대한 중요성을 깨닫게 되었고, 타 전공자와의 상호교류를 통한 학문적 이해의 폭이 확대되었음을 확인하였다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 진행과정에 나타난 문제점을 보완하고 개선한다면 해부학 실습의 개선 방안으로서 해부설명회의 활용가치가 충분하다고 판단되었다.
