The Colchicaceae comprising 250 species and 15-19 genera of rhizomatous or cormous perennials, the moderate sized family in Liliales, distributes widely through the temperate and tropical areas of Africa, Asia and North America. The division of two subfamilies in Colchicaceae is still unclear because of different results in previous studies. Moreover, sister taxa of this family has not been determined. In genus level, it was uncertain that whether expand circumscription of three genera of Colchicum, Gloriosa, and Wurmbea which are include Androcymbium, Littonia and Onixotis, respectively, is reasonable or not. In this study, three coding genes of atpB, matK and rbcL were analyzed to reconstruct phylogenetic relationship of Colchicaceae and both of maximum parsimony (MP) and Bayesian analysis were conducted. Among three genes, matK region was most variable and provided more parsimony-informative sites, whereas the atpB and rbcL regions were similar in the variation and number of informative characters. Monophyly of Colchicaceae was strongly supported and it was divided into two subfamilies (Wurmbeoideae and Uvulariodeae). Uvularia-Disporum clade, comprises the subfamily Uvularioideae, is a sister of the rest Colchicaceae and subsequently differentiated Burchardia was a sister within subfamily Wurmbeoideae. Burchadia was used to be supposed to be a sister of the family in the previous studies. It was clear the monophyly and phylogenetic relationship among six tribes sensu Vinnersten and Manning (2007) within the family. In addition, the expanded circumscription of three genera was also strongly supported; Colchicum-Androcymbium (BP99), Wurmbea-Onixotis (BP100), and Littonia-Gloriosa (BP100). Here, we propose a re-circumscription among taxa of Colchicaceae.

Total 15 different corn hybrids, Kwangpyeongok, Gangdaok, Yanganok, Singwangok, Jangdaok, Cheonganok, Cheongdaok, Andaok, Dapyeongok, Pyeongkangok, Pyeonganok, Daanok, Sunwon P3394, Gangilok, P3394, had been used to investigate the plant growth and yield of corn hybrids depends on the sowing date. Sowing dates were April 5th, June 25th, and July 5th and all experiments had three repeats. The growth of Gangdaok was the best. However, in the case of Kwangpyeongok, the growth was not the best to compare with Gangdaok, but the stem to ear height ratio was lower than Gangdaok, it may be better for the stable cultivation. Both of the growth and yield of Daanok was not good regardless of planting date, but the yield and ear shape of Pyeongkangok and Dapyeongok were good for fresh corn. The growth and yield of 15 different corn hybrids were variable depends on the planting date, however, the growth degree days (GDD) was the most important factor for the maturity of the corn. More than $1500^{\circ}C$ of GDD was enough to harvest mature corn hybrids in the central region of Korea. Besides the yield and growth, other characters such as sweetness and taste as a food should be investigated further for the fresh corn to be suggested.
The TMY (Typical Meteorological Year) for the solar energy study is generated using observation data with 22 solar sites from KMA (Korea Meteorological Administration) during 11 years (2000-2010). The meteorological data for calculation the TMY are used solar radiation, temperature, dew point temperature, wind speed and humidity data. And the TMY is calculated to apply the FS (Finkelstein and Schafer) statistics and RMSE (Root Mean Squared Error) methods. FS statistics performed with each point and each variable and then selected top five candidate TMM months with statistical analysis and normalization. Finally TMY is generated to select the highest TMM score with evaluation the average errors for the 22 whole points. The TMY data is represented average state and long time variations with 22 sites and meteorological data. When TMY validated with the 11-year daily solar radiation data, the correlation coefficient was about 0.40 and the highest value is 0.57 in April and the lowest value is 0.23 in May. Mean monthly solar radiation of TMY is 411.72 MJ which is 4 MJ higher than original data. Average correlation coefficient is 0.71, the lowest correlation is 0.43 in May and the highest correlation is 0.90 in January. Accumulated annual solar radiation by TMY have higher value in south coast and southwestern region and have relatively low in middle regions. And also, differences between TMY and 11-year mean of is distributed lower 100 MJ in Kyeongbuk, higher 200 MJ in Jeju and higher 125 MJ in Jeonbuk and Jeonnam, respectively.
Primary rotavirus gastroenteritis infection usually occurs in infants under 2 years of age worldwide regardless of level of hygiene, quality of water, food or sanitation or type of behavior. In Korea, the disease mostly occurred in infants under 2 year old, and usually in late fall to early winter with the highest incidence shown in November until early 1990s. However, since then, relatively the age incidence of this infection has increased in children over 2 years old, and it has mainly occurred in late winter to early spring with the highest incidence shown between February and March. And rotavirus gastroenteritis serotypes varied year to year as well as varied by year within the same region in our country. The comparison of severity scores between age groups in Korea showed that severity score was lowest in infants less than 3 months and highest in infants more than 6 months and less than 12 months, and hospitalization period between age groups was longest in infants older than 3 months and less than 3 months and highest in infants more than 6 months and less than 12 months and less than 6 months. In this aspect, rotavirus vaccines should be given to infants less than 2 years of age in whom the incidence of rotavirus gastroenteritis is the highest, and vaccination should be ideally started before 3 months considering hospitalization period and severity of rotavirus gastroenteritis. However, It should be careful for the introduction of new rotavirus vaccine, and the effectiveness of rotavirus vaccines should be assessed by long-term post marketing surveillance. And we guess an multivalent vaccine may be an ideal rotavirus vaccine to prevent primary infection caused by variable rotavirus strains in Korea. In addition, clinical epidemiology studies on rotavirus gastroenteritis which evaluate the age and serotypes related severity should be continuously conducted in various regions.
This study aims to analyze the housing satisfaction of 55 years and older (55+) single-person householders in U.S. urban communities with the 2011 American Housing Survey Data. Single-person householders younger than 55 years of age (55-) were used as a reference group. Housing Adjustment Theory was used to develop a research framework to depict the relationships of housing satisfaction (dependent variable) with demographic and housing variables (independent variables). The regression analysis revealed that age, health status, government income, race, gender, age of house, housing quality, neighborhood, structure type, and tenure status had a significant effect on housing satisfaction levels of both those aged 55- and 55+. However, for the cohort of 55+, education, census region, housing affordability, and structure size also affected their housing satisfaction. Neighborhood satisfaction had the strongest effect on housing satisfaction of both groups. These variables were discussed in terms of resources and constraints contributing to their housing satisfaction. This study highlights the present and future housing trends and challenges of U.S. single householders in U.S. urban communities.
The purpose of this study is to find factors associated with the preventive health behavior in the daily lives of housewives of a region in Korea, with a hope that knowledge on the health behavior obtained from this study can be of use in promoting practice of good health behavior of the people. The data this study was collected from 672 persons, randomly selected among residents in Wonseong-Dong Chu-nean City and BuanGun, Junbug. Chisquare test, Pearson's C. C., and Stepwise multiple regression are major statistical methods used in this study. Major findings are as fellows: 1) Health behavior of the respondents was found to be related to their characteistics such as residence. age, educational attainments, and standard of living. However, no statistical significant relation has been found between respondent's health behavior and their characteistics such as size of household living together with children or not, yes or no elderly living together. and yes or no Sick family menber. 2) The preventive health behavior of respondents were found to be significantly related to their interests in their own health status. But the association between the practice of certain health behavior and their recognition of their own health status was statistically insignificant. 3) Practice rates of certain preventive health behavior were found different depending their general knowledge on health(P<0.05). 4) Respondents had significantly different preventive health behavior depending on their attitude on health(P<0.001). 5) Degree of contact with mass-media had shown to be significantly associated with preventive health behavior(P<0.001). 6) In the stepwise regression analysis on preventive health behavior. independant variables representing attitude and knowledge on health and contact of mass-media all together explained 20.4 % of the variance of dependent variable.

In the present study, the $CuN_x-Cu-CuN_x$ layer the partial pressure ratio Cu metal of Ar and $N_2$ gas using a DC magnetron sputtering device, was generated by the In-situ method. $CuN_x$ layer was able to obtain a surface reflectance reduction effect from the advantages of the process and the external light. $CuN_x$ layer is gas partial pressure, DC the Power, the deposition time variable transmittance in response to the thickness and partial pressure ratio, the reflectance was measured. $Ar:N_2$ gas ratio 10:10(sccm), DC power 0.35 A, was derived Deposition time 90 sec optimum conditions. Thus, according to the optimal thickness and the composition ratio was derived surface reflectance of 20.75%. In addition, to derive the value of ${\Delta}$ Ra surface roughness of 0.467. It was derived $CuN_x$ band-gap energy of about 2.2 eV. Thus, to ensure a thickness and process conditions can be absorbed to maximize the light in a wavelength band in the visible light region. As a result, the implementation of the $12k{\Omega}$ base line resistance of using the Cu metal. This is, 5 inch Metal mesh TSP(L/S: $4/270{\mu}m$) is in the range of the reference operation.
In this paper, we propose a real-lime face detection and tracking algorithm using AdaBoost(Adaptive Boosting) algorithm. The proposed algorithm consists of two levels such as the face detection and the face tracking. First, the face detection used the eight-wavelet feature models which ate very simple. Each feature model applied to variable size and position, and then create initial feature set. The intial feature set and the training images which were consisted of face images, non-face images used the AdaBoost algorithm. The basic principal of the AdaBoost algorithm is to create final strong classifier joining linearly weak classifiers. In the training of the AdaBoost algorithm, we propose SAT(Summed-Area Table) method. Face tracking becomes accomplished at real-time using the position information and the size information of detected face, and it is extended view region dynamically using the fan-Tilt camera. We are setting to move center of the detected face to center of the Image. The experiment results were amply satisfied with the computational efficiency and the detection rates. In real-time application using Pan-Tilt camera, the detecter runs at about 12 frames per second.

From a theoretical analysis point of view, the 2-stage precipitator is decomposed into two units: charging cell and collecting cell. Collection efficiency predictions of the two-stage parallel-plate electrostatic precipitator have been performed theoretically incorporating with the charging and the collecting cells. Particle trajectorise passing the charging cell have been modeled as a simple one. Particle charge distribution at the outlet of the charging cell is calculated through integration of the present unipolar combined charging rate along the entire particle trajectory, and average charge of particles at the outlet of the charging cell is obtained from the particle charge distribution. As for the collecting cell, the diminution of particle concentration along the longitudinal direction of the collecting cell is investigated considering the conventional Deutsch's theory and the laminar theory. One should note that the collection efficiency formula derived is based on monodisperse aerosols. It has been confirmed through the analysis that predictions of particle charge by applying White's unipolar diffusion charging theory overpredict actual cases in the continuum regime, while predictions by Fuch's unipolar diffusion charging theory indicate the reasonable result in the same regime. Theoretical predictions of collection efficiency are also compared with the available experimental results. Comparisons show that the experimental results are consistently located in the collection efficiency region bounded by the two limits, the Deutsch and the laminar collection efficiencies. Finally design parameters of the 2-stage electrostatic precipitator have been investigated systematically through the one-variable-at-a-time method in terms of collection efficiency. Applied voltages on the corona wire of the charging cell and the plate of the collecting cell, and the average air velocity have been selected as the design parameters.

In 1991, Prof. Toshio Masuda of Kyoto University for the first time synthesized a representative of diphenylacetylene polymer derivatives, poly[1-phenyl-2-(p-trimethylsilyl)phenylacetylene] [PTMSDPA]. This polymer is highly soluble nevertheless a ultra-high molecular weight (Mw) of > $1.0{\times}10^6$ which showed excellent chemical, physical, mechanical properties [1]. As one of the most interesting features of PTMSDPA, Prof. Katsumi Yoshino of Osaka Univ. reported that this polymer emits an intense fluorescence (FL) in a visible region because of the effective exciton confinement within the resonant structure between the polyene pi-conjugated chain and side phenyl full-aromatic bulky groups [2]. Very recently, Prof. Ben-Zhong Tang of Hong-Kong Institute of Science and Technology clarified the idea that the FL emission of disubstituted acetylene polymer derivatives originates from intramolecular excimer due to the face-to-face stacking of the side phenyl groups [3]. Thus, to know what influence to intramolecular excimer emission in the film as well as to further understand how the intramolecular excimer forms in the film became more crucial in order to further precisely design the optimized molecular structure for highly emissive, substituted acetylene polymers in the solid state. In recent studies, we have focused our interests on the origin of the FL emission in order to expand our knowledge to developments of novel sensor applications. It was found that the intramolecular phenyl-pheyl stack structure of PTMSDPA in film was variable in response to various external chemical stimuli. Using PTMSDPA and its derivatives, we have developed various potential applications such as latent fingerprint identification, viscosity sensor, chemical-responsive actuator, gum-like soft conjugated polymer, and bioimaging. The details will be presented in the 49th KVS Symposium held in Pyong Chang city.
