신체활동사업에서의 보건교육사의 역할과 능력 개발 (Role and Competencies for Health Education Specialist in Physical Activity Programs)

  • Objectives: Physical activity provides economic benefits and contributes in improving health and quality of life. Opportunities for physical activity continue to decrease with the increasing prevalence of sedentary lifestyles. In various settings, there have been many efforts to enhance physical activity to prevent chronic disease for people of all ages. This study was performed to define competencies of physical activity specialists in health promotion and compare with those of health education specialists. Methods: The study employed official data and manuals of health promotion programs that have been published and uploaded on public websites. Results: Competencies for physical activity in health promotion included needs assessment, analysis of data and scientific information, planning and evaluation, developing strategies and materials, management, building healthy environment, research. To compare with the competency of health education specialists, competencies of physical activity were almost similar to that except the developing individual-based physical activity program in exercise science. Conclusions: Physical activity programs for health promotion should be planned and implemented throughout various health topics and in coordination with multiple sectors. To increase efficiency of the utilization of human resources in health promotion, health education specialists needs to participate in physical activity programs and would require empowerment in exercise science.

앤트리를 활용한 색채대비 수업의 효용성 (Usefulness of Color Contrast Class Using Entry Software)

  • 본 연구는 특성화 고등학교 50명을 대상으로 색채대비에 관련된 실습 수업을 종이 활동지를 활용한 전통적인 방식과 엔트리 소프트웨어를 활용한 활동지 수업을 진행한 후 학습자들의 수업 결과물과 설문지를 통해 미디어 프로그램인 엔트리 소프트웨어를 활용한 수업의 효용가치를 이해도, 활용도, 만족도, 흥미도 면에서 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 수업 결과물 경우 엔트리 소프트웨어를 활용한 수업에서 재료로 인한 색채의 제한이 없어 학생들이 이론에 부합하는 다양한 색채를 사용했다. 둘째, 엔트리 소프트웨어를 활용한 활동지 수업은 종이 활동지를 활용한 전통적인 수업에 비해 이해도 영역을 제외한 활용도, 만족도, 흥미도 면에서 긍정적인 답변이 나왔다. 이에 본 연구는 색채 관리 수업에서 엔트리 소프트웨어를 활용한 실습 활동의 효용성을 증명하였다.

중성자 방사화분석법을 이용한 소각로 바닥재의 원소분석 (Elemental Analysis of Bottom Ash from Incinerator by Neutron Activation Analysis)

  • 도시 생활폐기물의 소각로에서 발생되는 바닥재중의 무기원소 함량을 중성자 방사화분석법으로 결정하였다. D도시 소각장에서 월별로 채취한 바닥재 시료를 5 mm 크기의 체로 거르고 오븐에 건조한 후, 막자사발로 분쇄하였다. 시료는 한국원자력연구소의 하나로 연구용 원자로에서 NAA #1 조사공을 사용하여 중성자 조사하였으며, 조사된 시료는 HPGe-감마선 분광분석장치를 사용하여 방사능을 측정하였다. 측정된 핵종의 방사능으로부터 방사능 생성식과 핵 데이타를 적용하여 As, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Sb 및 Zn을 포함한 33종의 원소를 정량하였다. 또한 미국표준기술원의 인증 표준물질을 동시에 분석하여 품질관리를 하였다.

진한 염산용액에서 Alamine336에 의한 염화코발트의 용매추출 (Solvent Extraction of Cobalt Chloride from Strong Hydrochloric Acid Solutions by Alamine336)

  • Solvent extraction reaction of cobalt by Alamine336 from strong hydrochloric acid solution was identified by analyzing the solvent extraction data reported in the literature. Analysis of the data by graphical method revealed that Alamine336 took part in the solvent extraction reaction as a monomer in the concentration ranges, [Co(II)] : 0.0169 - 0.102 M, [Alamine336] ; 0.02- 1.75 M, and [HCl ] : 5 - 10 M. The following solvent extraction reaction and equilibrium constant was obtained from the experimental data by considering the activity coefficients of chemical species present in the aqueous phase. $Co^{2+}+2Cl^{-}+R_3NHCl_{org}=CoCl_3\;R_3NH_{org}$, $K_{ex}=2.21$ The distribution coefficients of cobalt predicted in this study agreed well with those reported in the literature.

목질 재료의 자기가수분해 및 효소당화에 관한 연구 (IV) - Laccase 및 Cellulase의 동시 이용 가능성 - (Autohydrolysis and Enzymatic Saccharification of Lignocellulosic Materials (IV) - Simultaneous Utilization of Laccase and Cellulase -)

  • This study was carried out to know the possibility of simultaneous utilization of laccase from white-rot fungus with cellulase on enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulosic substrate from autohydrolyzed oak wood. Laccases from 3 white-rot fungi, Pleurotus ostreatus. Ganoderma lucidum, and Phanerochaete chrysosporium, were isolated, purified and measured their activities. The highest activity was shown in Pleurotus ostreatus and the lowest in Phanerochaete chrysosporium. Laccase from Pleurotus ostreatus has optimum pH of 5.94, Km value of 3.209 mM and appeared to be stable at relatively wide pH range, 4.7-8.72. Temperature stability showed that 60% activity was preserved after 40 minutes at $50^{\circ}C$. Laccase from Ganoderma lucidum reached to the maximum activity during 15-20 day incubation. This enzyme has optimum pH of 6.45, Km value of 6.71 mM and pH range of 5.0-9.0 for stabilization. 95% activity was preserved at $30^{\circ}C$ and 58% activity at $50^{\circ}C$. Concerned to the enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulosic substrate with both enzymes, cellulase and laccase, simultaneously, mixed culture filtrates and mycellium extracts were shown higher hydrolysis rates than those of Trichoderma viride. There were no significant differences in the extent of hydrolysis among various mixed culture filtrates and mycellium extracts.

Synthesis and electrochemical analysis of Pt-loaded, polypyrrole-decorated, graphene-composite electrodes

  • In this study, an electro-catalyst of Pt nanoparticles supported by polypyrrole-functionalized graphene (Pt/PPy-reduced graphene oxide [RGO]) is reported. The Pt nanoparticles are deposited on the PPy-RGO composite by chemical reduction of H2PtCl6 using NaBH4. The presence of graphene (RGO) caused higher activity. This might have been due to increased electro-chemically accessible surface areas, increased electronic conductivity, and easier charge-transfer at polymer-electrolyte interfaces, allowing higher dispersion and utilization of the deposited Pt nano-particles. Microstructure, morphology and crystallinity of the synthesized materials were investigated using X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. The results showed successful deposition of Pt nano-particles, with crystallite size of about 2.7 nm, on the PPy-RGO support film. Catalytic activity for methanol electro-oxidation in fuel cells was investigated using cyclic voltammetry. The fundamental electrochemical test results indicated that the electro-catalytic activity, for methanol oxidation, of the Pt/PPy-RGO combination was much better than for commercial catalyst.

  • Learning for educating creative thinking and problem solving abilities and for future-oriented method should have appropriate laboratory, experimental equipments and appliances. Technology laboratory model pertinent to experiment or activity for educating creative persons is suggested in the following : (1) It is considered that many problems of current education result from an overcrowded classes. The number of students per laboratory should be $30{\sim}40$ persons. (2) There should be sufficient activity spaces for students. Unlike normal classrooms laboratory should have various tools and materials, information, facility and equipment. (3) Flexible activity spaces for various activities should be provided for groups and individuals. (4) Safety facilities should be provided sufficiently. (5) Learning experiences of collection, analysis and utilization of information should be given. (6) Laboratories should be designed to be a place for self-propelled learning. They should be designed to be able to learn by individuals and small groups after taking into consideration the individual differences as students differ in interest, curiosity and ability.

2015 개정 교육과정 중학교 기술·가정 교과서 '가정생활과 안전' 영역 활동과제에 반영된 교과역량 분석 (An Analysis of Subject Competencies Applied in the Activity Tasks of the 'Home Life and Safety' area in Middle School Technology-Home Economics Textbooks based on the 2015 Revised National Curriculum)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze two subject competencies (practical problem-solving capability and independent life capability) reflected in the activity tasks included in the 'home life and safety' area of 12 middle school technology-home economics textbooks in accordance with the 2015 revised curriculum. The analysis criteria were sub-elements of two subject competencies. Seven sub-elements were derived from each competency. Frequency analysis was performed to determine how often the sub-elements were reflected in the activity tasks. The results were as follows. First, with regard to the sub-elements of 'practical problem-solving capability', 'value judgment' was reflected most frequently in the activity tasks followed by 'exemplification of solution', 'logical thinking', 'critical thinking', 'decision-making', 'practical reasoning', and 'evaluation of solutions'. Secondly, the sub-elements of 'independent life capability' were unevenly distributed in the activity tasks. The 'capability to perform conscious living' was reflected most frequently followed by 'development and self-identity', 'time, money, and leisure management', and 'reasonable consumption and resource utilization'. For teachers wanting to teach activity-oriented classes and student participatory classes, the results pinpoint the materials necessary to develop learners' subject competencies by using textbooks from different publishing companies.

Production of Xylanolytic Enzyme Complex from Aspergillus flavus using Agricultural Wastes

  • Five types of agricultural wastes were used for the production of xylanolytic enzyme by Aspergillus flavus K-03. All wastes materials supported high levels of xylanase and ${\beta}-xylosidase$ production. A high level of proteolytic activity was observed in barley and rice bran cultures, while only a weak proteolytic activity was detected in corn cob, barley and rice straw cultures. Maximum production of xylanase was achieved in basal liquid medium containing rice barn as carbon source for 5 days of culture at pH 6.5 and $25^{\circ}C$. The xylanolytic enzyme of A. flavus K-03 showed low thermostability. The times required for 50% reduction of the initial enzyme activity were 90 min at $40^{\circ}C$, 13 min at $50^{\circ}C$, and 3 min at $60^{\circ}C$. Xylanolytic activity showed the highest level at pH $5.5{\sim}10.5$ and more than 70% of the original activity was retained at pH 6.5 and 7.0. The higher stability of xylanolytic enzymes in the broad range of alkaline pH is useful for utilization of the enzymes in industrial process requiring in alkaline conditions. Moreover, the highest production of xylanolytic enzyme was obtained when 0.5% of rice bran was supplied in basal liquid medium. SDS-PAGE analysis revealed a single xylanase band of approximately 28.5 kDa from the culture filtrates.

폐섬유자원의 발효공학적 이용에 관한 연구 (제오보) 분리균 Cellulomonas속 균주의 이용성 (Studies on the Fermentative Utilization of Cellulosic Wastes. (Part V) Utilization of Cellulomonas sp.)

  • 비교적 효율적으로 이용되고 있지 않는 섬유성물질의 이용성을 높이고 섬유소 자화세균에 의한 섬유소 단세포단백을 생산할 목적으로 전보에서 분리, 동정한 Collulomonas flavigena GFB 24-1의 몇 가지 균학적 성질을 통한 이용성을 검토한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 섬유질 자화세균 생육배지에서 배양한 결과 pH 7.0에서 50시간 배양하였을 때 균체증식이 가장 좋았고, 배양시 유리되는 단백질은 배양중 시간이 경과됨에 따라 증가하였다. 2. Cellulolytic activity는 pH 5~7에서 40~50시간, 배양하였을 때 가장 좋았다. 4. 생육배지에서 배양시 기질의 농도의 증가에 따라 6%까지는 균체증식이 직선적으로 증가하였으며 8%까지는 완만하게 증가하다가 9~10%농도에서는 감소하였다. 5. NaOH 처리한 볏짚은 기질로 하여 진탕 flask에서 배양한 결과 48기산 배양하였을 때 균체증식이 10.6mg/ml로써 가장좋았다.
