  • This paper presents a modeling and simulation of a fuzzy controller for maximum power extraction of a grid-connected wind energy conversion system with a link of a rectifier and an inverter. It discusses the maximum power control algorithm for a wind turbine and proposes, in a graphical form, the relationships of wind turbine output, rotor speed, power coefficient, tip-speed ratio with wind speed when the wind turbine is operated under the maximum power control. The control objective is to always extract maximum power from wind and transfer the power to the utility by controlling both the pitch angle of the wind turbine blades and the inverter firing angle. Pitch control method is mechanically complicated, but the control performance is better than that of the stall regulation method. The simulation results performed on MATLAB will show the variation of generator's rotor angle and rotor speed, pitch angle, and generator output.

  • This paper proposed the optimal operational scheduling of cogeneration system for paper mill connected with several auxiliary devices. Auxiliary devices that include auxiliary boiler, waste boiler and sludge incinerator operate with multi-cogeneration system. Especially environment element was considered in objective function to solve environment problem. Electricity can be purchased through power system from utility. The proposed operational strategy on cogeneration system for paper mill to increase energy efficiency can be applied to the similar cogeneration system in industrial field.

  • In this paper, we composed of utility interactive pv generation system of voltage source inverter, and represented uninterrutible power supply (UPS) equipment maintaining constant voltage, using a pulse width modulation(PWM) voltage fed inverter, as power source disconnection, voltage variation and output current variation with load variation. This system is driven by being synchronized voltage fed inverter and AC source, and in the steady state of power source charge battery connected to dc side with solar cell using a photovoltaic (PV) that it was so called constant voltage charge. In addition, better output waveform was generated because of PWM method, and it was proved to test by experiment maintained constant output voltage regardless of AC source disconnection, load variation, and voltage variation of AC power source.

  • This paper describes a new interactive inverter between a photovoltaic(PV) array and single-phase utility that avoid the bulky input (60Hz) transformer on the AC side. The interface employs a pwm boost converter on the DC side followed by a pwm current-forced single-phase rectifier for injecting the power from the PV array into the mains. The current waveform at the AC side remains sinusoidal and exactly in phase at all time. The circuit also has the advantage of requiring fewer switching device than high-frequency link system. This paper describes modeling of PV array and new system topology. Simulation results on the performance of the connection are also presented.

  • 발전용 연료전지시스템에서 PCS를 여러 대 병렬운전하게 되는 경우 계통에 이상이 발생하여 단독운전으로 모드전환 시 각 계통연계 스위치의 동작 시간 차이 및 각 제어기의 연산시간 차이에 의해 단일 인버터의 모드전환 시 보다 더 큰 과도상태가 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 병렬 연결된 3상 계통연계 인버터에서 과도상태를 최소화 할 수 있는 병렬운전 기법을 선정하고 과도상태 없이 모드전환 할 수 있는 간접전류 제어기법을 제안한다.

  • The main purpose of this study is to design and develop the grid connected 4kW photovoltatic PCS(Power Conditioning System) targeting for Japanese market. To make this task, the development of DC to DC converter, one phase inverter and EMI filters, and the research on connection between inverter and utility line are made. The developed 4kW PCS has fully carried out performance verifications and evaluation works and acquired the JET(Japan Electrical Safety & Environment Technology Laboratories) certification for safety and performance.

  • The distributed jointing method is used in the underground tunnel due to narrow space of jointing. This method causes non-uniform length between cable joints. It has an effect on the sheath circulating current and the induced voltage. Furthermore the distributed jointing method may cause transient overvoltage resulting from lightning in underground cable which is connected with overhead line. The author diversely studied the sheath circulating current and induced voltage on underground cable depending on the distributed jointing length under the normal and the transient circumstances. The various simulation results really improve the cable system utility.

  • Most of all countries have a governmental system for regulating the certification of nursing. In Korea, certification of advanced practice nurse(APN) is statuary regulation under supervision of government. In this article, the writers discuss the legal characters and effects of certification and regulatory body for certification and suggest the new regulatory system. The advanced practitioner may be recognize "new" health provider in the future. The nursing specialist have right to use title and practice expanded role. It's different things with physicians certification. The regulatory body is important because certification protected the title and empower APN authorize of expanded role. The certification of nursing is closely connected with public interest. The Korea government delegate power of national examination to private institute. To improve utility and publicity of certification system, we suggest that statutory empower the certification authority to public institute which composed with nursing professionals.

  • 독립형 인버터의 경우 상용 AC 계통(Utility Grid)이 없는 지역에서, 출력으로 단상 AC 전압(220Vrms / 60Hz)을 발생하는 전력 시스템이며 휘발유 연소 에너지, 풍력 에너지, 태양광 에너지 등 다양한 형태의 에너지를 전기 에너지로 변환하여 시스템의 입력으로 사용한다. 계통 연계 형 인버터의 경우 상용 AC 계통에 직접 연결하여, 발전된 전력을 계통에 주입(Inject)하는 전력 시스템을 말하며 출력으로 계통 전압과 동기화(Synchronization)된 단상 AC 전류를 발생시킨다. 기존 독립형 인버터의 출력에 계통 전원을 연결하면 작동이 불가능하고, 반대로 기존 연계형 인버터의 출력을 계통 전원 없이 동작하려고 하는 경우 또한 작동이 불가능하다. 본 논문에서는 상기 기존 기술의 한계를 극복할 수 있는 독립형 / 계통연계 호환형 단상 인버터를 제안하고 실제 구현을 통해 작동을 검증하였다.

A Study on a Quantitative Measurement of Contact Pressure Between two Rough Flat SurFaces by Means of Ultrasonic Waves. (초음파를 이용한 이체 평면접촉부의 정량적인 접촉압력 측정에 관한 연구)

  • It is important to have exact information about the contact pressure distribution in the design of connected parts of machines and structures. In previous works, stress analyses on a two body contact problem have been carried out in large numbers. Besides, the measurement of contact stress is important to confirm the adequateness of the theoretical analysis, to verify appropriateness of Hertzian contact theory and to know the practical pressure distribution, but an excellent measuring method con't be found at present. Therefore, a quantitative measurement of contact pressure by means of ultrasonic waves using a normal probe and an angle has been proposed to measure the contact pressure distribution between two rough flat surfaces. At first, in a new proposed calibration method, the relation between mean contact pressure and sound pressure of reflected waves is obtained by using calibration blocks with various surface roughnesses made of the same material as the rectangular section beams And then, this experimental results are compared with the analytical ones, and the utility of this method is discussed.
