  • In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the digital revolution is taking place, various attempts have been made to provide various contents in a digital environment. In this paper, agent-recruitment service system based on collaborative deep learning is proposed for the intelligent head hunting service. The service system is improved from previous research [7] using collaborative deep learning for more reliable recommendation results. The Collaborative deep learning is a hybrid recommendation algorithm using "Recurrent Neural Network(RNN)" specialized for exponential calculation, "collaborative filtering" which is traditional recommendation filtering methods, and "KNN-Clustering" for similar user analysis. The proposed service system can expect more reliable recommendation results than previous research and showed high satisfaction in user survey for verification.

  • The MPEG user description (MPEG-UD) which is a standard under exploration to ensure interoperability among customized recommendation services has been contributed since MPEG $104^{th}$ meeting at 2013. Twenty-two use cases that were divided into different applications have been proposed in the MEPG meetings. Most of use cases were referred to specific and restricted regarding to applications, it appears to miss an overall and explicit infra-structure. In this paper we describe a reference model, namely methodology to overcome aforementioned problems. Thereafter, we have applied reference model to context-based recommendation system to demonstrate the methodology and MPEG-UD schemas. In addition, we propose a development process of recommendation system in compliance with MPEG-UD.

  • This paper presents a novel method for evaluating the usefulness of online product recommendation. Previous studies on evaluating recommendation systems have mostly relied on two methods : testing the accuracy of estimating user preferences by recommendation systems, or empirically testing the effectiveness with lab experiments involving human participants. The former does not measure the usefulness directly and hence can be misleading; the latter is expensive in that it requires a working online store System and test participants. In order to address the problems, the proposed approach uses simulation to imitate customer behavior and evaluate the usefulness of recommendation. Models for user behavior and an abstract Internet store are developed for simulation. Actual simulation experiments are performed to illustrate the use of the approach.

  • The amount of data is increasing significantly as information and communication technology advances, mobile, cloud computing, the Internet of Things and social network services become commonplace. As the data grows exponentially, there is a growing demand for services that recommend the information that users want from large amounts of data. Collaborative filtering method is commonly used in information recommendation methods. One of the problems with collaborative filtering-based recommendation method is the cold start problem. In this paper, we propose a method to improve the cold start problem. That is, it solves the cold start problem by mapping the item evaluation data that does not exist to the initial user to the automatically generated data from the mobile app. We describe the main contents of the proposed method and explain the proposed method through the book recommendation scenario. We show the superiority of the proposed method through comparison with existing methods.

  • In this paper, we propose a semantic web approach for personalized book recommendation. Our approach takes advantage of the content-based recommendation and improves its disadvantage that users should input their interesting fields into all book search systems they use. Our approach provides the sharing of users' profile with their interesting fields by enabling user's interesting fields to be described over each book classification ontology of various book information providers. We also provide a middleware that manages users' profiles written in RDF and analizes similarity between user's interesting field and each concept over the book classification ontology. Our approach provide better performance than traditional keyword-based search by sharing the user's profile among book recommendation systems.

  • The growth in social media, blogs and restaurant listing directories have led to increasing customer reviews about restaurants, their quality of food items and services available on the internet. These user reviews offer a massive amount of valuable information that can be used for various decision-making purposes. Currently, most food recommendation sites provide recommendation scores about restaurants rather than food items of the restaurant and the provided recommendation scores may be biased since they are calculated only from user reviews listed only in their sites. Usually, people wants a reliable recommendation about foods, not restaurant. In this paper, we present a reliable Korean food items rating method; we first extract food items by applying NER technique to restaurant reviews collected from many Korean restaurant recommendation web sites, blogs and web data. Then, we apply lexicon-based sentiment analysis on collected user reviews and predict people's opinions as sentiment polarity scores (+1 for positive; -1 for negative; 0 for neutral). Finally, by taking average of all calculated polarity scores about a food item, we obtain a rating to individual menu items of the restaurant. The proposed food item rating is more reliable since it does not depend on reviews of only one site.

  • Media Contents Recommendation Web Service (service name 'mobodra') is a web service that analyzes media types and genre tastes for each user and recommends content accordingly. Users select some of the works randomly provided on the web when signing up for membership and analyze their tastes based on this. Based on this analysis, preferred content for each user is recommended. In this paper, we implement a content recommendation algorithm through item-based collaborative filtering. When the user's activity data or preference is re-examined, the above process is executed again to update the user's taste.

  • Recently, with a rapidly growing of the mobile content market, a variety of mobile-based applications are being launched. But mobile devices, compared to the average computer, take a lot of effort and time to get the final contents you want to use due to the restrictions such as screen size and input methods. To solve this inconvenience, a recommender system is required, which provides customized information that users prefer by filtering and forecasting the information. In this study, an tailored multi-information recommendation system utilizing a Personalized information recommendation system on smartphone is proposed. Filtering of information is to predict and recommend the information the individual would prefer to by using the user-based collaborative filtering. At this time, the degree of similarity used for the user-based collaborative filtering process is Euclidean distance method using the Pearson's correlation coefficient as weight value. As a real applying case to evaluate the performance of the recommender system, the scenarios showing the usefulness of recommendation service for the actual restaurant is shown. Through the comparison experiment the augmented reality based multi-recommendation services to the existing single recommendation service, the usefulness of the recommendation services in this study is verified.

  • As the mobile market expands, a variety of platforms are available to provide multimodal media content. Multimodal media content contains heterogeneous data, accordingly, user requires much time and effort to select preferred content. Therefore, in this paper we propose multimodal media content classification using keyword weighting for recommendation. The proposed method extracts keyword that best represent contents through keyword weighting in text data of multimodal media contents. Based on the extracted data, genre class with subclass are generated and classify appropriate multimodal media contents. In addition, the user's preference evaluation is performed for personalized recommendation, and multimodal content is recommended based on the result of the user's content preference analysis. The performance evaluation verifies that it is superiority of recommendation results through the accuracy and satisfaction. The recommendation accuracy is 74.62% and the satisfaction rate is 69.1%, because it is recommended considering the user's favorite the keyword as well as the genre.

  • Recommender systems can be used to assist users in selecting required services for their tasks in Internet of Things (IoT) environments in which diverse services can be provided by utilizing IoT devices. Traditional research on recommendation mainly focuses on predicting preferences of individual users. However, in IoT environments, not only individual users but also groups of users can access services in the environments. In this study, we analyzed user groups' preferences on services and developed service recommendation approach for new groups that do not have a history of accessing IoT-services in a certain place. Our approach extends the traditional user-based collaborative filtering by considering the similarity between user groups based on their member organization. We conducted experiments with a real-world dataset collected from IoT testbed environments. The results demonstrate that the proposed approach is effective to recommend services to new user groups in IoT environments.
