Context-awareness is a technology to facilitate information acquisition and execution by supporting interoperability between users and devices based on users' context. It is one of the most important technologies in ubiquitous computing. In this paper, we propose a middleware and a context server for dealing with context-awareness in ubiquitous Computing and implement an application system using them. The middleware proposed in our work plays an important role in recognizing a moving node with mobility by using a Bluetooth wireless communication technology as well as in executing an appropriate execution module according to the context acquired from a context server. In addition, the proposed context server functions as a manager that efficiently stores into a database server context information, such as user's current status, physical environment, and resources of a computing system. Finally, our application system implemented in our work one which provides a music playing service based on context information, and it verifies the usefulness of both the middleware and the context server developed in our work.

Smart phone allows advertisers to estimate customers behavior by selecting user context awareness information and gives users instant feed back about their behavior. Electronic equipments such as smart phone enable advertisers to advertise interesting product for each customers at the point of purchase. In this paper, we deal with the trends of Smart phone and internet based TV in the spotlight as the upcoming advertising media and propose the effective way of advertising, Smart Advertising model, which can give users advertising contents of their interesting product by collecting user context information from a variety of devices including N-screen in smart space. This model will induce modern people who live in flood of advertisements to buy products by providing interesting advertising contents.

Increasing interest and technological advances in smart home has led to active research on context-awareness service and prediction algorithms such as Bayesian Networks, Tree-Dimensional Structures and Genetic prediction algorithms. Context-awareness service presents that providing automatic customized service regarding individual user's pattern surely helps users improve the quality of life. However, it is difficult to implement context-awareness service because the problems are that handling coincidence with context information and exceptional cases have to consider. To overcome this problem, we proposes an Intelligent Sequential Matching Algorithm(ISMA), models context-awareness service using Timed Petri-net(TPN) which is petri-net to have time factor. The example scenario illustrates the effectiveness of the Timed Petri-net model and our proposed algorithm improves average 4~6% than traditional in the accuracy and reliability of prediction.

This paper presents a context-aware information service system in public places that have complex processes, for the disabled and the elderly. The system infers context of a user which is derived from the user's demand, then it informs to the user -what to do, where to go-according to the context. Our system gets user's context from sensor data and informations from the local information system. The system provides more suitable information with a knowledge model, which organizes location and process data coordinately. The information is provided personally to the user, with mobile devices.

Ubiquitous services are high duality and differentiated services which are provided for users by recognizing the context of users and environmental conditions actively. In this case, context-aware middleware is one of the most important technologies required to implement the ubiquitous services. In this paper, we proposed a method for providing ubiquitous services in a specific user space effectively. That is, the design and implementation of intelligent home service middleware based on context awareness is discussed here. Context information from various sensors is gathered, and suitable services are inferred and provided to users by the middleware system.

The user's context awareness is important to the reliability of sensors data. The sensor data is constantly change to external temp, internal& external environment and vibration. This noise environment is affecting that the data collected information from sensors. Of course this method of digital filter and inference algorithm specifically request for the use of ripple noise and action inference. In this paper, experiment was a comparison of the KF(Kalman Filter) and WMAF(Weight Moving Average Filter) for noise decrease and distortion prevention according to user behavior. And, we compared the EWDF(Extended Weight Dual Filter) with several filer. In an experiment, in contrast to other filter, the proposed filter is robust in a noise-environment.

We proposed the context based user profile which is aware of its user's situation and based on user's situation it recommends personalized services. The user profile which consists of (context, service) pair can be acquired by the context and the service usage of a user; it then can be used to recommend personalized services for the user. In this paper, we show how they can be evolved without previously known user information so that not to violate privacy during the learning phase; in the result our user profile can be applied to any new environment without any modification to model only except context profiles. Using context-awareness based user profile, the service usage pattern of a user can be learned by the union of contexts and the preferred services can be recommended by the current environments. Finally, we evaluate the precision of proposed approach using simulation with data sets of UCI depository and Weka tool-kit.

To provide context aware service, certain phenomena and situation information of the user should be detecting and monitoring using sensors. But, the sensor data has heterogeneity about system, syntax, structure, and semantics. So, it is difficult to apply to various services. To solve this issue, we should remove these heterogeneities and convert to context information that is easy to provide context aware services. Also, the existing context aware service mash-up environment require relevant sensor type, criteria of context, programing ability to define the service situation. So, it is difficult to create service for a non-technical user. Therefore, we propose ontology based user-centric service environment to provide context aware IoT services. It provide context awareness and user-desired services using data that acquired via IoT paradigm. The proposed environment consist of the ontology based semantic sensor data processing and the user-centric service environment. It provide convert the object data to the context information and service mash-up process to create user service in easy way.

This research aims to show that the context adaptation system can be used to develop practical context-aware applications by developing a restaurant recommendation system based on location-awareness. In this research, we have designed and implemented a location-aware restaurant recommendation system which provides a customized restaurant recommendation service based on the user's current context. The context-adaptation engine adapts the application program according to the policy file as contexts are changed, and the application provides restaurant recommendation service based on the changed context like location.

In order to realize future ubiquitous, it needs to establish an environment witch service is provided to an user without user's awareness. This study suggests the mobile context awareness algorithm for that. With DB collected using LBS technology, it aims to recognize service status of a terminal and to maximize user's convenience by offering service through continuous inter-operability for various demand and environment of users against the status of a terminal. To realize the algorithm, it adds a terminal status deduction process to MSC. And then, it suggests the algorithm witch determines terminal status depending on status parameter defined by analyzing LBS-based short information by MSC. It realize C code.
