  • This research was implemented by using TRAM model. An existing research (Ok 2011) which dealt with technology readiness and social commerce at once had only asked consumers' attitude on 'general technology'. This research, however, has specifically focused on Social Network Service and mobile social commerce. Research hypotheses and research model were developed and tested by using 610 consumer survey data. It was found that individual's positive/negative technology readiness has a direct influence positively/negatively on perceived ease of use and perceived trust respectively. Also their positive and negative technology readiness has an indirect influence positively/negatively on perceived usefulness. Thus someone's positive and negative attitude on SNS has a different direction towards the perception of mobile social commerce. Perception on mobile social commerce depends on their attitude (positive or negative) concerning SNS. Managerial implications and limitations of the study were also discussed.

With increasing speed of its market, this study is to focus on detecting the crucial variables promoting the use intention, which results in the sustainable competitive advantage in social commerce market. This research empirically analyzed the use intention of social commerce. Also, this study explores the moderating effects of gender in explaining intention to use social commerce. A technology acceptance model is applied for pinpointing the antecedents of intention to use social commerce and for revealing cross-gender differences. The results from a survey of 452 participants reveal that the effects of perceived risk, perceived usefulness, ease for use and subjective norm on intentions to use social commerce differ across gender. Findings imply that the risk-free quality and portrayal of in-group or out-group situations of social commerce need to be communicated to female consumers, along with the social norms of using social commerce. When targeting male consumers, the technological features illustrating the usefulness of social commerce should be focused. This study will provide diverse implications companies providing social commerce services.

  • Unlike existing social platforms that seek openness, an audio-based social platform is characterized by its limitations. This study uses the Value-Based Acceptance Model(VAM) to analyze the role that such limitations play in the user's acceptance of audio-based social media. In this study, restrictive properties are defined as access-limitation, communication-limitation, and content-limitation. This study aims to analyze the effect of each variable on the perceived value and usage of audio-based social media. The hypothesis test was conducted based on the survey responses total of 207 users and potential users. The results was analyzed that three limiting variables affect perceived benefit factors, usefulness and playfulness, and the user's acceptance intention. This study is significant in that it presents a model based on the VAM and provides guidance for new forms of social media growth.

  • As the usage of SNS has grown dramatically over the last years, it has been used in various sectors not just a tool for communication. In particular, corporate companies actively use Facebook as a tool for corporate marketing. Corporate companies communicate with their customers by providing service or events information. In this study, empirical analysis was carried out on corporate companies that are using Facebook as a marketing tool, thus finding out the influencing factors in continued usage of Facebook Fan Page users. In addition, analysis of the factors will be investigated according to continued usage of the users, where the user's intention will differ depending on how corporate companies operate and deal with the Facebook Fan Page. Factors affecting the user's satisfaction, perceived usefulness, and perceived playfulness were deducted through the analysis of the existing literature study on corporate company's continued intention on the usage of Facebook Fan Page. Accordingly, factor affecting this such as relationship, speed, content diversity, which are the media characteristics of the Facebook were deducted and finally hypothesized. In addition, the type of corporate company's Facebook Fan Page was divided into event type, communication type, information service type. And hence investigated the factors that differed from the continued usage depending on the type. Results analysis shows that perceived usefulness affected only relationship, speed, content diversity. Furthermore, analysis shows that corporate company's Fan Page of communication and event types are the factors that affect the usage intention which meant it only affected the perceived enjoyment. On the basis of this study, we are able to present an implication of value where corporate company use it as a marketing tool, through factors from continued usage of coroporate company's Facebook Fan Page users.

  • This paper examined how the millennial generation consumes mobile news through social networking sites with regards to user patterns, preference topics and news values, and whether news topics and news values may influence their overall mobile SNS news consumption and interactivity. The findings show that more than 2/3 of respondents consumed mobile SNS news at least once everyday for 30minutes to one-hour. Male millennials tended to use Facebook and Kakao-talk more than female. While the portal site was the most accessed channel for consuming mobile news, SNS was the second, more than the combined use of national daily papers, TV, and internet newspapers. The respondents' demographic characteristics and news topics also affect the form and degree of news interactivity. With regards to their preferences and prioritization of news values, millennials tend to perceive 'impact' and 'usefulness' as being most important, despite the differences of their demographic characteristics. They also preferred those news values most. There were significant differences in terms of preferred news topics according to the demographics' characteristics.

The importance of Chinese Internet business is increasing, because of its size and growth potential. This research is focused on following two questions. In order to find out the answer about this question, the case study on Tencent QQ and Sina Poco, the most representative social networking services company in China, was done. And the reason of the use of social networking services, their contents, and the attitude toward the paid service were identified. Second, what are the major factors influencing the use of social networking services in China. User participation, network effect, usefulness, and system quality were inferred as the factors influencing the use. These factors were based on motivation theory, technology acceptance model, and the related research papers. This research model was proved by data analysis using Partial Least Square. As results, the use of social networking services was influenced by usefulness, network effect, user participation, and system quality. But social influence was not significant of the use of social networking services.

  • As the risk of privacy invasion due to self-disclosure increases in SNS environment, many studies have tried to discover the influencing factors of self-disclosure. This study is an extension of this research stream and pays attention to the role of interaction privacy controls(friend list and privacy settings) as a new influencing factor. Specifically, the study theorizes and test the logic that the ability to effectively control interactions between individuals using IPC(called IPC usefulness) satisfies the three psychological needs(autonomy, relationship, and competency needs) suggested by the Self-Determination Theory, and in turn increase the amount of self-disclosure. As a result of data analysis, it was found that IPC usefulness has a very strong influence on the satisfaction of psychological needs and is a major factor in increasing the degree of self-disclosure by users. Based on these findings, the study discusses the theoretical and practical implications as well as future research directions.

Recently, Facebook has added six different emotion buttons reflecting suggestions claiming that "Like" button is limited, and thus must be improved. Regarding to how well newly updated six different emotion buttons were utilized, a survey that inquires the usefulness and usability of buttons for further improvement in service was conducted to 35 Facebook users of 20's and 30's, the most active ages with frequent usages. As a result, users responded with negative attitudes considering expression of six different emotions in Facebook, and exhibited less frequent usages of the service.
