Mobile applications market has emerged as new business model. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors of mobile applications adoption. Based on prior studies of TAM and mobile technology/service, service quality, user experience, OS compatibility, self-efficacy, innovativeness, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and cost were identified as affecting factors of mobile applications adoption. According to the results, service quality is significantly related to the perceived usefulness, and self-efficacy and innovativeness are significantly related to the perceived ease of use. User experience was also found to be related to both the perceived usefulness and the perceived ease of use. In case of OS compatibility, it was found to be significantly related to the perceived ease of use, but not to the perceived usefulness. Both the perceived usefulness and the perceived ease of use were found to be related to the adoption of mobile applications. However, cost was not found to be significant to the relationship between the perceived usefulness/the perceived ease of use and the adoption of mobile applications. This study contributes to provide the base of activation strategies and practical implications for mobile applications.
This paper presents and tests a conceptual model of Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) that explains perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, organizational commitment and turnover intention in terms of psychological commitment in mandatory environments. The model focuses on psychological commitment(Kelman's internalization, identification, compliance) as the primal of predictor of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and organizational commitment we discuss our current understanding of technology acceptance, as well as the notion of mandated use. The results and implications of the research are as follows. First, organizational commitment negatively influence turnover intention in mandatory environment. Second, perceived usefulness positively influence organizational commitment in mandatory environments. Third, psychological commitment positively influence organizational commitment, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use in mandatory environments. Fourth, perceived ease of use positively influence perceived usefulness in mandatory environments. Through this research, psychological commitment is a strong determinant of technology acceptance in mandatory environments. These findings advance theory and contribution to the foundation for future research aimed at improving our understanding of user adoption behavior in mandatory environments.
In the field of dance creation, the use of film and television skills, cyberspace, action sets, computer graphics and other technology and media technology have made the creative environment for dance art that it rapidly improves and presents a new situation. Especially in the dance creation part, VR technology can show many possibilities and can be used as a tool to fully satisfy the choreographer's intention and imagination. Therefore, this study analyzes the acceptance model of virtual reality technology in dance creative education, and we will examine the effect of social influence, shared trust, innovation, interest, and self-efficacy on perceived usefulness and perceived ease. Second, we will examine the effect of perceived usefulness and perceived ease on intention to use. The study is targeted at ordinary dance creators who currently reside in Hebei Province, China. The survey was conducted for approximately 30 days from March 16th to April 17th. The total number of valid samples collected was 377. The results of the identification of the hypotheses between variables based on the questionnaire data are as follows: Firstly, social influence, shared trust, innovation, interest, and self-efficacy have a positive impact on perceived usefulness, perceived ease. Secondly, perceived usefulness, perceived ease has a positive effect on the intention to use. In view of the above research results, the theoretical significance and limitations of this research and the future research directions are discussed in depth.
Purpose Compliance support system (CSS) aims to support employees' voluntary compliance activities, however, it requires a different approach from the acceptance of other general information systems. In other words, the user's concern that his/her compliance activities recorded in the system are monitored may hinder the active use of the system. In this regard, we set up a research model to investigate the factors that affect the intention to use CSS, by including perceived usefulness, compliance commitment, and surveillance concern. Design/methodology/approach A questionnaire survey was conducted for the employees of a domestic oil-company, who operates their own CSS. Based on the 865 data collected, a structural model analysis using PLS was conducted. As a result, all four hypotheses were accepted. It was found that perceived usefulness of CSS has a positive effect on the intention to use CSS. Compliance commitment has a positive effect both on perceived usefulness and intention to use CSS. In contrast, surveillance concern of one's non-compliance recorded in the CSS was shown to have a negative effect on the relationship between compliance commitment and perceived usefulness. Findings This study has academic implications in that it extends the viewpoint of the existing technology acceptance mechanism by examining the two aspects, i.e., compliance commitment and surveillance concern. This study may also provide practical directions to strengthen the use of the active compliance support system by the employees.
This study examines the impact of live commerce characteristics on customer responses in the ELM perspective. Based on ELM, the central route is composed of information completeness, accuracy, and currency, and the peripheral route is composed of streamer credibility, streamer reputation, social presence, and system quality. An online survey of female customers aged 20 to 49 who have purchased beauty products through live commerce within the past three months was conducted. The results demonstrate that information completeness and information currency exert significant impact on perceived usefulness and enjoyment. Social presence and system quality also exert significant impact on perceived usefulness and enjoyment. Moreover, perceived usefulness and enjoyment had significant impact on behavioral intention. The effect of information completeness on perceived usefulness and enjoyment was much stronger for high product involvement groups. Furthermore, the effect of streamer reputation on perceived enjoyment was much stronger for high product involvement groups. In contrast, the effect of social presence on perceived usefulness and enjoyment was much stronger for low product involvement groups. This study suggests theoretical implications for applying ELM to live commerce and practical implications for differentiated live commerce marketing strategies.
Purpose: This study aims to investigate how the online review usefulness affect consumers' shopping behavior in non-face-to-face shopping, which is now very common format of shopping environment after COVID-19 pandemic. Factors influencing online reviews were determined as quantity of review, agreement of review and characteristic of review based on research by existing researchers. Research design, data, and methodology: Customers in their teens to 60s who had experience of checking online reviews and purchasing products were surveyed using a Google questionnaire form from January 15, 2022 to February 19, 2022. To verify the validity and reliability of the research model, confirmatory factor analysis and discriminant validity analysis were conducted. In addition, the causal relationship between factors was verified through path analysis. Results: As a result, quantity of review and agreement of review had a statistically significant effect on review usefulness. However, characteristic of review did not have a statistically significant influence on review usefulness. And review usefulness had a statistically significant effect on attitude and purchase intention. Conclusions: This study investigated the factors affecting usefulness of online reviews and empirically analyzed the effects of online reviews on consumer attitudes and purchase intentions providing practical and theoretical implications for corporate online review management.
Purpose The aim of this study is to investigate how system quality, privacy concerns, and usefulness impact user satisfaction and word-of-mouth intention towards smart order services among Chinese consumers. Findings The study results are as follows. First, system quality was found to have a positive effect on usefulness and user satisfaction. Second, privacy concerns were found to have a positive effect on user satisfaction, but not on usefulness. Third, user satisfaction was found to have a positive effect on consumers' word-of-mouth intention of the smart order service. Finally, mediating effects were found between system quality and user satisfaction through usefulness, as well as between system quality, perceived privacy concern, and usefulness through user satisfaction.
Purpose This study employed the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to understand students' acceptance of online learning systems. Specifically, this study investigated the factors influencing the behavioral intention of South Korean major university students to use online learning systems for educational purposes in the period when their university life had largely returned to the state it was in before the COVID-19 pandemic. Design/methodology/approach This study examined the impact of four external factors: self-efficacy, personal innovativeness, perceived enjoyment, and system quality, on two TAM constructs: perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. Additionally, this study explored how perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness affect the behavioral intention to use online learning systems. We conducted an online-based survey using a structured questionnaire. The data collected from the survey were then subjected to Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis to test the study's hypotheses and examine the relationships among the various constructs. Findings The findings reveal that perceived usefulness and ease of use significantly influence students' behavioral intentions to use online learning systems. Furthermore, factors of self-efficacy, perceived enjoyment, and system quality positively affect perceived usefulness and ease of use. Notably, personal innovativeness impacts ease of use but not perceived usefulness.
