  • With speediness of economy, the structure of land use has taken lots of change. How can we quickly and exactly obtain detailed land use/cover change information, and then we know land resource amount, quality, distributing and change direction. More and more high resolution satellite systems are under development. So we can make good use of RS data, existed GIS data and GPS data to extract change information and update map. In this paper a fully automated approach for detecting land use/cover change using remote sensing data with object-oriented classification based on GIS data, GPS data is presented (referring to Fig.1). At same time, I realize integrating raster with vector methods of updating the basic land use/land cover map based on 3S technology and this is becoming one of the most important developing direction in 3S application fields; land-use and cover change fields over the world. It has been successful applied in two tasks of The Ministry of Land and Resources P.R.C and taken some of benefit.

  • Inappropriate antibiotic use is the most important factor causing increased bacterial resistance to antibiotics, thus affecting patient outcomes. Multidrug-resistant bacteria have become a serious public health threat, causing significant morbidity and mortality worldwide. In Korea, the burden of antibiotic-resistant bacteria has become an important public health issue. There is increasing evidence of overuse and misuse of antibiotics in Korea, as observed in cohorts with large sample sizes. Antibiotic use among children should receive particular attention because of the frequency of community-associated infections among this population and the elevated risk of transmission. Recent studies from Korea have demonstrated that the use of broad-spectrum antibiotics, either for inpatient or outpatient treatment, has increased among many age groups, especially children. In this review, we aim to describe the patterns of antibiotic prescription and evaluate recent trends in antibiotic use among children. Coordinated efforts toward communication and education in order to address misunderstandings regarding antibiotic use, involving interprofessional antimicrobial stewardship programs, are required in the near future.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the current status of firefighting seatbelt use and factors affecting the wearing seatbelt of firefighters. The seatbelt use of citizens was also studied for comparative study. Two T-tests were conducted to confirm the characteristics of firefighters' safety belts wearing firefighters. As a result, there was a statistically significant difference, on seatbelt use in general vehicles, between firefighters and citizens. And a significant difference between fire vehicles and general vehicles, on firefighters' seatbelt use, and the average was lower in fire vehicles. Factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were conducted to 10 influential factors affecting seatbelt use of firefighters'. And factor analysis and reliability analysis revealed two major factors (Physical factors, Learning factors). In multiple regression analysis, it was confirmed the two independent factors had a positive effect on the dependent variable, the rate of seatbelt use of firefighters'.

  • This study was conducted to explore the causal relationship between the characteristics of mobile shopping mall use and the effect on the intention to use mobile shopping malls through perceived value (hedonic value and utilitarian value). Specifically, this study defined the usage characteristics of mobile shopping malls as accessibility, convenience, and enjoyment, respectively, and attempted to explain the relationship on the intention of use through perceived value. The research results are as follows. First, it was found that enjoyment had a positive (+) effect on hedonic value. However, it was found that convenience did not affect hedonic value. On the other hand, contrary to expectations, accessibility was found to have a negative (-) effect on hedonic value. Second, it was found that accessibility and convenience had a positive (+) effect on utilitarian value. However, it was found that pleasure did not affect utilitarian value. Third, it was found that utilitarian value had a positive (+) effect on the intention to use mobile shopping, while hedonic value did not affect the intention to use mobile shopping. Through this, it is meaningful to provide mobile shopping users with solutions to improve their restrictions in the shopping process.

  • This study aims to understand how people evaluate the credibility of news they use every day and how such evaluation is related to their credibility assessment of news on media overall. For this purpose, this study examines the relationship between credibility of "news I use" and credibility of news on television and news portals overall, respectively. It also explores whether the relationship is moderated by the strength of political ideology. From regression analyses of a nationwide survey of 5,010 adults in South Korea in 2021, the results showed a lower level of credibility for "news I use" than for overall news on television and portals. The results also revealed a significant relationship between the credibility of "news I use" and credibility of overall news on the two media respectively. The expected moderation effect was significant for portal news, but not for television news. Findings and implications are discussed.

  • Size of building has a direct relationship with building cost, energy use and space maintenance cost. Therefore, minimizing building size during a project development is of paramount importance against such wastes. However, incautious reduction of building size may result in crowded space, and therefore harms the functionality despite the fact that building is supposed to satisfactorily support users' activity. A well-balanced design solution is, therefore, needed at an optimum level that minimizes building size in tandem with providing sufficient space to maintain functionality. For such design, architects and engineers need to be informed accurate and reliable space-use information. We present in this paper a conceptual framework of an agent-based space-use prediction simulation system that provides individual level space-use information over time in a building in consideration of project specific user information and activity schedules, space preference, ad beavioural rules. The information will accordingly assist architects and engineers to optimize space of the building as appropriate.

  • This paper touches the limitations of existing theories related to technology acceptance, which mainly focus on users' perceived ease of use and usefulness, and proposes the role for sensory capabilities and enjoyment in understanding smartphone use. Furthermore, we develop a model that explains smartphone usage and intention to use it for a task and analyzes 442 questionnaire survey responses of smartphone users. First, perceived usefulness, perceived sensory capability, and perceived enjoyment influenced smartphone usage. Second, we found that both perceived usefulness and smartphone use were significantly associated with users' intention to utilize the smartphone for their job-related tasks. Finally, both perceived sensory capability and enjoyment were found to be more powerful factors than ease of use in explaining smartphone use. From the study findings, implications and future research directions are also discussed.
