  • 90/150 CA is a CA completely specified by using rule 90 and rule 150. Since 90/150 CA whose minimal and characteristic polynomials are identical has outstanding randomness, this CA is more attractive than LFSR. Sarkar proposed a scheme based on the 90 uniform CA and the 150 uniform CA. That scheme provided authentication by digital signature and other basic security requirements like confidentiality. In this paper we analyze 90 or 150 uniform CA and give a synthesis method of 2n-cell uniform CA and (2n+1)-cell uniform CA using a special n-cell 90/150 CA. And we propose an effective method of computation of characteristic polynomial corresponding to uniform CA.

  • In this paper we analyze the CA formed by combining the uniform 102 CA $\mathbb{C}_u$ and the m-cell 90/150 hybrid CA $\mathbb{C}_h$ whose characteristic polynomial is $(x+1)^m$. We analyze cycle structures of complemented group CA derived from $\mathbb{C}_u$ and propose a condition of complemented CA dividing the entire state space into smaller cycles of equal lengths. And we analyze the cycle structure of complemented group CA $\mathbb{C}^{\prime}$ derived from the CA $\mathbb{C}$ formed by combining $\mathbb{C}_u$ and $\mathbb{C}_h$ with complement vector F such that $(T+I)^{q-1}F{\neq}0$ where $(x+1)^q$ is the minimal polynomial of $\mathbb{C}$.

  • The effect of CaO impurity on the microstructural evolution during the sintering of ultrapure alumina(>99.999%) was studied under "clean" firing conditions. The sinterability of undoped alumina was low, but its microstructure was maintained uniform. In the case of CaO-doped alumina, the distribution of grain size and that of grain boundary dihedral angle became wider, and facetted pores observed frequently. When MgO was doped in addition to CaO, the sinterability increased drastically and the uniform microstructural characteristics resumed. This study suggests that the effect of CaO is to induce inhomogeneous microstructures presumably by anisotropic segregation to grain boundaries and pore surfaces, and that MgO suppresses the anisotropic segregation of Ca.

  • Recently, the advent of wireless communication and other handhold devices like Personal Digital Assistants and smart cards have made in implementation of cryptosystems a major issue. One important aspect of modern day ciphers is the scope for hardware sharing between the encryption and decryption algorithm. The cellular Automata which have been proposed as an alternative to linear feedback shift registers(LFSRs) can be programmed to perform the operations without using any dedicated hardware. But to generalize and analyze CA is not easy. In this paper, we characterizes uniform/hybird complemented group CA with rules 195/153/51 that divide the entire state space into smaller spaces of maximal equal lengths. This properties can be useful in constructing key agreement algorithm.

  • The high cost of Si-based solar cells remains a substantial challenge to their widespread adoption. To address this issue, it is essential to reduce the production cost of solar-grade Si, which is used as raw material. One approach to achieve this is Si electrodeposition in molten salts containing Si sources, such as SiO2. In this study, we present the pulse electrodeposition of Si in molten CaCl2 containing SiO2 nanoparticles. Theoretically, SiO2 nanoparticles with a diameter of less than 20 nm in molten CaCl2 at 850℃ have a comparable diffusion coefficient with that of ions in aqueous solutions at room temperature. However, we observed a slower-than-expected diffusion of the SiO2 nanoparticles, probably because of their tendency to aggregate in the molten CaCl2. This led to the formation of a non-uniform Si film with low current efficiency during direct current electrodeposition. We overcome this issue using pulse electrodeposition, which enabled the facile supplementation of SiO2 nanoparticles to the substrate. This approach produced a uniform and thick electrodeposited Si film. Our results demonstrate an efficient method for Si electrodeposition in molten CaCl2 containing SiO2 nanoparticles, which can contribute to a reduction in production cost of solar-grade Si.

  • Membrane separation technologies have some of advantages are considered a better alternative to traditional methods. Research of novel membranes is very vital for covering the higher required of membrane in several purposes like water desalting technology. In this work polyamide-6/cellulose acetate (PA-6/CA) blend membrane was developed according to the wet phase inversion system. The structures of the prepared membranes were examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). SEM images showed uniform particles distribution in the prepared membranes. Moreover, SEM images revealed that the membranes have relatively uniform surface (PA-6/CA). PA-6/CA blend membranes systems are evaluated by using synthetic NaCl solution. The separation performance showed that salt rejection increased with increasing of heat treatment of the casted films and it was improved with increasing of operating pressure.

  • Porous calcium phosphates were successfully fabricated by using a cuttlefish bone. The cuttlefish bone, which is composed of $CaCO_3$, showed a special porous microstructure containing uniform-sized voids. In this study, the pre-forms infiltrated distilled phosphoric acid were sintered at $1200^{\circ}C$ in an air atmosphere. The porous microstructure of the pre-forms was kept their original pattern after sintering with a synthesis of calcium phosphate. The obtained porous calcium phosphate, sintered at $1200^{\circ}C$ for 3 h at 17% concentration of phosphoric acid, showed uniform open pores of 150 ${\mu}m$ in size and $\beta$-TCP phase in the XRD patterns. Above 16% concentration, CaO phase, derived from the decomposition of $CaCO_3$, decreased gradually in the sintered samples, and the measured Ca/P ratios of the samples prepared from 16% and 18% concentration were 1.67 and 1.43, which are close to stoichiometric HA (1.66) and $\beta$-TCP (1.50).

  • Two dimensional cellular automaton (CA) models were developed to investigate growth of biofilms in aquatic ecosystems. Simple local rules on CA were applied to governing growth of bacterial populations in relation to different nutrient concentrations. Initial bacterial distribution played an important role in determining population size and morphology of biofilm at low concentrations of nutrition. With clumped distribution, population size increased slowly compared with uniform and random distributions, while the porosity tented to be higher with uniform distribution compared with other initial distributions.

  • Generally, the non-uniform flow with varying speed distribution ca be formed near narrow straits or waterways. One of the most dynamic modes of capsizing can occur as a result of manoeuvring of ships in non-uniform flow. This paper covers the investigation into the factors affecting the likelihood of server ship motions in non-uniform flow. Digital simulation of manoeuvring is carried out in order to predict conditions which could lead to serve ship motions in non-uniform flows. Hydrodynamic force derivatives of a container ship are used. Finally, possible conditions of severe ship motions are suggested and guidelines for reducing the liability to capsize are given both for the ship operator and the naval architect.
