  • Door Inside Lamp of railway rolling stock is installed on interior of the side doors and illuminated at door opening and closing, isolation and fault. So drivers or passengers can notice the door status visually. In the past, a single color or Bi-color LED Lamps have been using and one ~ multiple lamp was used to implement the feature according to client's requirements. (Example: Total of between 2 and 4 lamps are required for the Warning / Emergency operation / Isolation / Fault.) However these design is not easy to apply if there is the mounting space restrictions and the problems such as rising costs can be caused. In addition, it has vulnerability from point of view aesthetic aspects. Therefore the lamp type has been required that has small size and number of colors in order to resolve these problems. Recently multi LED type door status indication lamp have been developed that can meet the requirements and this lamp has been applied in many railway projects. In this study, I'll introduce the general characteristics and mechanical & electrical characteristics of multi LED type door status indication lamp to help development of this kinds of lamp.

LCC분석을 통한 도시철도 전동차의 경제적 사용내구년한 추정(서울메트로 사례를 중심으로) (Estimation of the Life-span for Urban Rolling Stock through LCC Analysis (Focused on Seoul Metro))

  • 전동차의 사용내구년한은 도시철도법에 의해 25년으로 되어있다. 그 사용제한에 의해 전동차 성능이 양호해도 사용연장을 위해서는 정밀안전진단을 받아야 한다. 사용내구연한의 연장은 내구년한 만료일의 다음 날부터 15년의 범위에서 정밀진단자가 인정하는 기간까지로 규정되어있다. 서울메트로 전동차의 일부가 25년간의 법정 사용내구년한을 채우고 1996년과 2008년에 신형전동차로 교체되었다. 교체된VVVF제어 신형전동차는 구형전동차에 비해서 안전성 유지보수성 내구성이 향상되어 그 성능에 알맞은 내구년한 설정이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 LCC분석을 통하여 적정한 전동차의 경제적내구년한을 산출하였다. 25년부터 유지보수비용가중치 10%를 고려할 때에는 41년, 고려하지 않을 때에는 46년의 결과가 얻어졌다.

  • This paper was showed evaluation method and technical items for measurement test of new catenary system of Honam(Daejeon - Mokpo) conventional railway electrified. This line have tested by three type new electric rolling stocks in order to test construction quality and operation safety of a new catenary system with speed-up than conventional speed. We have some important experiences through measurement test of catenary system by new device installed on train roof.

평행 결합 선로를 갖는 이중 대역의 소형 광대역 대역 통과 필터의 설계 (Dual-Band Compact Broad Band-Pass Filter with Parallel Coupled Line)

  • 본 논문은 평행 결합 선로를 이용한 이중 대역 소형 광대역 대역 통과 필터에 대하여 제안한다. 제안한 필터는 크기가 작고 대역폭의 조절과 이중 대역 운용이 가능하다. 뿐만 아니라 T-형태의 대역 저지 필터를 삽입하여 이중 대역의 지원이 가능하도록 하였다. 이중 대역의 대역 통과 필터는 첫 번째 운용 중심 주파수와 대역폭이 각각 5.8 GHz 및 60 %, 그리고 두 번째 운용 주파수 중심 주파수와 대역폭은 각각 16.2 GHz 및 60 %이다. 첫번째 주파수의 삽입 및 반사 손실은 각각 0.4 dB 및 17.4 dB를 갖고 있고, 두 번째 주파수의 삽입 및 반사 손실은 각각 0.62 dB 및 19.8 dB를 갖는다.

  • This paper represents the comparison of harmonic loss characteristics of the inverter-driven 3-phase squirrel cage induction motor with slit and U-iron bridge slots of rotor. Two-dimensional time-stepped finite element method is used for electromagenetic field analysis. And spectrums of bar current, phase current, and torque are compared in each case.

  • The hunting is the natural characteristics of the railway wheelset which is originated from the contact between the conical type wheel profile and rail. The critical speed of rolling-stock is called when the hunting is occurred, and it is closely connected with vehicle stability. The parameters which influence the hunting motion are like wheel profile, primary spring property and wheelset dimension, etc. The studies for these parameters are reported diversely. In this study, we aim to analyze the influence of parameters on hunting with the change of wheel profile produced by wheel wear and material property produce by aging of primary spring. For this, we made a dynamic model for wheelset and vehicle. Using these models, we analyzed the critical speed with the variations of the parameters like as wheel profile and primary spring property and we show the results.

  • This study introduces comparison the testing results of the AL car body which is applied to FSW and GMAW welding method. The car body is made of aluminum structure materials like a sandwich panel. The static load test was performed to evaluate the structural characteristic and stability of the AL car body. Considering the vertical, compressive, twisting load and 3-point supporting, Bend natural frequency Measurement, Twist natural frequency Measurement type as a testing terms, the structural stability of a car body was evaluated.

  • Life cycle of the rolling stock is normally 20 to 40 years, though there is some difference in accordance with each vehicle. Maintenance cost is over the twice of purchasing price. and also it is true that precise statics is not managed properly except for some developed countries due to the difference of maintenance method, skills. After KORAIL introduced ERP system in 2007, maintenance cost is managed by type of cars, by unit. but, afterwards it should be controlled as an index and also more precisely. it is the best pending issues to make train maintenance efficiency, to utilize accumulated indexes. I want to attribute to train maintenance efficiency by analysing what is the problems in the present maintenance method.

한국형 차세대 고속전철의 기술이전을 통한 중국진출 방안 연구 (A Study on Strategical Penetration of the Korean High-Speed Train System into Chinese Market through the Technology Transfer)

  • Studied was a strategic plan for the Korean High-Speed Train system to penetrate the Chinese railway market in exchange of the technology of KHST. Firstly, taken was a glance at Chinese Government plans to extend total length of his railway lines and to construct the Beijing~Shanghai high-speed railway line. Then, disparity of railway technology in Korea and China was reviewed. From the review, SWOT Analysis were carried out to penetrate the foreign markets. Countermeasures to cope with SWOT were also considered. Strategical governmental supports and the establishment of the special organization to be in charge of penetration of KHST into foreign markets were proposed. Finally, also proposed was the transfer of KHST technology to Chinese counterparts in exchange of tangible benefits for Korean side. The benefits may include (1) adoption of KHST as the type of rolling stock for the Beijing~Shanghai line, (2) guarantee of participation in the project and royalty for the KHST technology used for the future high-speed railway line construction, (3) prior written approval and partnership when making its way to third country, and (4) participation of Korean construction companies in Chinese railway construction project, etc. Adoption of KHST in China indeed gives chance to integrate the high-speed railway network after reunification of Korean peninsular, and enhance the economic ties between two countries.
