This paper describes a low-power design of decimation filter. To reduce power consumption, an approximate processing method which controls the error in canonic signed digit(CSD) coefficients is proposed. The CSD representation reduces the number of operations by representing multiplications with add and shift operations. The proposed method further reduces the number of operations by controlling the error of CSD coefficient. Processor type architecture is used to implement the proposed method. Simulation result shows that the number of operations is reduced to 56%, 35% and 10% at each approximated filter level.

Clothes and human body are inseparably related. Aesthetic consciousness of the body determines the form of clothing, reflecting the time and culture as well as the individual and society. Clothes can even reorganize the meaning of the body, while transcending their instrumental functions of protecting, expanding and deforming the body. Using 'body' to analyze the clothing form, my study develops a framework by which to classify the representation of the body in fashion focusing on the representation of physicality. In order to inquire the formative style and aesthetic values expressed in representing body in fashion, my study examines subjects from the 14th century European costumes to fashion collections of the 20th century. In fashion, representation of the body is visually analogous to the ideal boily shape and structure, including a realistic presentation of the body as well as reflection of aesthetic ideals. Manipulation of physicality entails the reconstruction of the ideal body image through the clothes that modify physicality into unnatural body. Ruff collar, gigot sleeve, crinoline, bustle, stomacher, and corset were all used to materialize the fictitious curves symbolizing femininity, authority, healthiness, maternity, virginity, socioeconomic status, and fertility. Accentuating specific clothing parts represents emphasizing the symbolism of the correspondent body parts. Consequently, in this phase signifiant is $signifi\'{e}$. Aesthetic ideal of the body is visualized in the firm of a dress. Fashion continues to explore forms and images that transcend the traditional representations of the clothed body. As a type of intimate architecture, fashion always mediates the dialogue between clothes and body, or fashion and figure. My study suggests a framework to analyze bodily representation in fashion, focusing on the relationship between the clothes and body.

In this article, a hybrid class of the q-Hermite based Apostol type Frobenius-Genocchi polynomials is introduced by means of generating function and series representation. Several important formulas and recurrence relations for these polynomials are derived via different generating function methods. Furthermore, we consider some relationships for q-Hermite based Apostol type Frobenius-Genocchi polynomials of order α associated with q-Apostol Bernoulli polynomials, q-Apostol Euler polynomials and q-Apostol Genocchi polynomials.

This article studies the monotonicity, log-convexity of the modified Lommel functions by using its power series and infinite product representation. Some properties for the ratio of the modified Lommel functions with the Lommel function, sinh and cosh are also discussed. As a consequence, $Tur{\acute{a}}n$ type and reverse $Tur{\acute{a}}n$ type inequalities are given. A Rayleigh type function for the Lommel functions are derived and as an application, we obtain the Redheffer-type inequality.

본 연구는 초등학교 4학년 학생들의 수학 문제해결 과정에서 나타나는 시각적 표현이 어떠한지를 알아보고, 이를 바탕으로 수학 문제해결에 유용한 시각적 표현을 효과적으로 지도하기 위한 방안을 모색한 것이다. 연구문제 해결을 위해 서울D초등학교 4학년 1개 학급을 대상으로 학생들의 문제해결 과정에서의 시각적 표현이 어떠한지에 관한 검사를 실시하고 분석하였으며, 문제해결과정에서의 시각적 표현에 특징을 보이는 학생 4명을 선정 심층면담을 실시한 후 그 결과를 분석하였다. 학생들의 문제해결에 있어서 성취도와 문제해결과정에서의 시각적 표현의 활용사이에 깊은 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 학생들이 문제해결과정에서 시각적 표현을 이용해 성공적인 문제를 해결하는 경험을 갖도록 함으로써 문제해결과정에서의 시각적 표현의 유용성을 인식할 수 있게 되었다.

Nature is suiting to the objective of oneself, structurally safe and functional. It continues to transform itself into various forms and has aesthetic beauty. By analyzing how nature's organic property has been expressed in different cases of furniture design, which has objective purpose, this research presents designing pathway to induce nature's organic oder into the furniture design. Simile expression type clearly shows its form through exposing the natural material that it is made out of. Visually, esthetic beauty can be emphasized and mentally it can provide pleasantness. Metaphorical expression type only hints the original material that was used to reproduce. Under the same condition it can have subjective perception and it needs to be used suitably at the right place and time. Abstract expression type it might be hard to recognize the original material visually since it went through many transformation in expression, however it can stage extreme and mysterious atmosphere. Furniture designs employing these three types can have functionality as well as decorative and serve variety of change in the existing uniformed interior space, and it can also satisfy individual's need with practicality and provide aesthetic beauty.

The presence of cracks changes the water content pattern during seepage through a cracked soil as compared to that of intact soil. In addition, several different crack networks may form in one soil type. These two factors result in a variation of water contents in the soil matrix part of a cracked soil during seepage. This paper presents an investigation of the effect of crack network representation on the water content of the soil matrix part of cracked soil using numerical models. A new method for the numerical generation of crack networks incorporating connections among crack endpoints was developed as part of the investigation. Numerical analysis results indicated that the difference in the point water content was large, whereas the difference in the average water content was relatively small, indicating the uniqueness of the crack network representation on the average water content of the soil matrix part of cracked soil.

This paper introduces a new type of representation of the LSPs as a promising alternative used for transmitting the LPC parameters. Major contribution in this paper is that the vocal track information embedded on the spectral envelope can be represented in terms of the reduced number of LSF compared tn the conventional. Hence, it provides a possibility that LPC parameters could be quantized at a reduced bit rate without causing any major spectral distortion. The simulation result illustrates the capability of the proposed LSPs representation as an efficient quantization method via a proper rejection of the redundant pairs of pole and zero along the unit circle.

A point of a Riemann surface X is said to be its fixed point if it is a fixed point of one of its nontrivial holomorphic automorphisms. We start this note by proving that the set Fix(X) of fixed points of Riemann surface X of genus g${\geq}$2 has at most 82(g-1) elements and this bound is attained just for X having a Hurwitz group of automorphisms, i.e., a group of order 84(g-1). The set of such points is invariant under the group of holomorphic automorphisms of X and we study the corresponding symmetric representation. We show that its algebraic type is an essential invariant of the topological type of the holomorphic action and we study its kernel, to find in particular some sufficient condition for its faithfulness.

I. M. Gelfand and G. E. Shilov [GS] introduced the Gelfand-Shilov spaces of type S, generalized type S and type W of test functions to investigate the uniqueness of the solutions of the Cauchy problems of partial differential equations. Using the heat kernel method Matsuzawa gave structure theorems for distributions, hyperfunctions and generalized functions in the dual space $(S^s_r)'$ of the Gelfand-Shilov space of type S in [M1, M2 and DM], respectively. Also, we gave structure theorems for ultradistributions, Fourier hyperfunctions in [CK, KCK], respectively.
