It is well-known that default rules require a nonmonotonic logic. Veltman proposed one dynamic theory which interprets default rules in such a way that correct inferences can be made at each information state. But his theory has some problems. First, this theory excludes the possibility that a default rule can be true of false. Second, his representation of an information state makes it difficult to interpret a default rule embedded in another sentence. Third, the notion of a frame which is introduced in the interpretation of a default rule and the adjustment of inferential expectation has a more complex structure than is necessary, In this paper, I propose a truth-conditional theory of default rules in which the meaning of a default rule is defined as a truth-condition in a possible world and which assumes a simpler structure of a frame. This makes it possible to interpret a default rule embedded in a sentence. A dynamic theory for default rules is also proposed for correct inferences based on default rules.

지능형CCTV시스템 성능평가를 위한 영상취득 및 영상DB 구축 그리고 평가방안을 제시한다. 영상취득은 각 시나리오에 대하여 원거리, 중거리, 근거리 영역을 설정하여 취득하였다. 영상DB에는 영상녹화정보, 검출영역, 실측경보를 XML형식으로 기록한다. 본 논문에서는 영상DB 제작을 위한 효율적인 실측정보 기록을 위한 영상 주석도구를 제안한다. 영상 주석도구는 특정 영상에 대하여 실측정보를 기록하고 지능형CCTV시스템의 출력경보와 비교하여 검출 성능을 평가하는 기능을 포함한다.

A new method for grouping of relevant and equivalent inputs of a logical circuit was proposed by the authors by making use of pseudorandom M-sequence correlation. The authors show in this paper that it is possible to estimate the input grouping from a part of correlation functions when we admit small percentage of error, whereas it is impossible to reduce the data necessary to estimate the grouping by use of the truth table method. For example in case of 30-input logic circuit, the number of correlation functions necessary to calculate can be reducible from 1.07 * 10$^{9}$ to 465.

본 논문은 논리문장으로 표현된 지식을 처리하는 정리증명 과정에서 증명이 완료되기 전에 잠정적 결론을 유도하는 확률추론 기법을 제시한다. 정리증명 과정 중에 베이지안 해석을 이용하여 지식을 갱신하는 방법을 제시하고, 의사결정 방법을 사용하여 시간에 민감한 사안에 대해 신속하게 대처할 것인지 아니면 고의로 미룰 것인지를 결정하는 방법을 밝힌다.

In recent years, there has been an increasing demand for improved accuracy and reliability of Earth Observation Satellite (EOS) data. Most of the data users in the field of remote sensing require understanding of product accuracy and uncertainty. Especially, EOS application products should be validated for practical application in the field. In order to evaluate the availability and applicability of application products, it will be necessary to establish a systematic validation system including techniques, equipments, ground truth data, etc. The Product Validation Site (PVS) for generation and validation of KOMPSAT application products was designed and established with various in-situ equipment and dataset. This paper presents the status of PVS and summarizes some results from experiment studies at PVS.

By the exponential representation form (EF) for fuzzy logic, any fuzzy value a (in fuzzy valued logic or fuzzy linguistic valued logic) can be represented as Bc, where B is called the truth base and C the confidence exponent. This paper will propose the basic concepts of this form and discuss its interesting properties. By using a different truth base, the exponential form can be used to represent the positive and the negative logic in fuzzy valued logic as well as in fuzzy linguistic valued logic. Some Simple application examples of EF for approximate reasoning are also illustrated in this paper.

최근 이병덕은 직설법적 조건문이 질료적 조건문을 함축한다는 논란 없는 원리를 부정하고 나섰다. 나는 여기서 논란 없는 원리에 대한 이병덕의 부정은 전건 긍정식이 부당하다는 것을 의미하게 될 뿐만 아니라, 직설법적 조건문의 진리조건이 질료적 조건문의 진리조건보다 약하다는 주장을 의미하게 된다는 점을 밝힌다. 아울러 나는 그가 그런 견해를 내세우게 된 것은 조건문이 정당화되는 구조에 대한 잘못된 이해 때문이라고 주장한다.
