  • Background: The influence of social capital on the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and related behaviors and perceptions has been recognized during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to analyze the trends in social capital using primary data from the Korean Community Health Survey, which is the only available source in Korea for local-level social capital analysis. It also investigates the relationship between various variables, including social capital, as factors influencing COVID-19-related behaviors and perceptions. Methods: The study analyzed the temporal trends of social capital using raw data from four community health surveys conducted in 2017, 2019, 2020, and 2021. A multilevel analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between social capital and COVID-19-related behaviors and perceptions following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Results: Social capital consists of trust, bonding social capital, and bridging social capital. Within the trust sub-factor, trust in neighbors (Trust-1) declined after the COVID-19 pandemic, whereas trust in safety and general environment (Trust-2) and trust in medical services and public transportation (Trust-3) increased. Additionally, the gap between municipalities narrowed. COVID-19-related behaviors and perceptions, such as adherence to COVID-19 prevention measures, return to normal activities, and fear of COVID-19, showed improvement in 2021 compared to the previous year. Individual-level trust in neighbors was associated with reduced fear of COVID-19, while community-level trust in neighbors was associated with increased fear of COVID-19. Conclusion: Social capital plays a role in mitigating public health crises, and it is necessary to implement active policies that address the gap in social capital between metropolitan and rural areas. Strengthening risk communication regarding emerging infectious diseases such as COVID-19 is crucial.

  • Mobile banking service has emerged as an important profit source for both banks and mobile phone service companies. However, the growth of the mobile banking service is behind the expectation of banks and mobile phone companies. One plausible explanation for this laggard diffusion of mobile banking may be the lack of consumers' initial trust on the service. Therefore, this study investigates the critical factors in building trust and intention to use mobile banking services. Our research results show that propensity-to-trust, structural assurance, and relative advantages of services have significant impacts on consumers' initial trust in mobile banking service Furthermore, initial trust in mobile banking service is a critical factor for adopting mobile banking services Contrary to our expectation, however, reputation of banks and mobile phone companies are not significant in attracting consumers to mobile banking services.

The result is that trust transfer becomes different in accordance with the linking direction of hyperlink. In other words, setting up target site as comparative subject, it is more reliable than single site. Setting up source site as comparative subject, trust changes are slight. This study is composed of 6 good site and 6 poor site. And trust transfer by hyperlink on online is consistent, especially trust transfer is affected by not source site but target site. If target site is poorer than source site, trust transfer originate definitely. So we can draw consistent conclusion that it rate higher than single site. On the other hands, if targer site is better than source site, trust transfer occurs not inter-website. Instead, affected by human mentality, it rates good site higher by conformity reversion.

  • Lately, the importance of social responsibility of venture companies is becoming highlighted in Korea. This study is to empirically suggest that the practice of social responsibility by venture companies will become the foundation for formation of the organizational trust and for the sustainable growth of the organization. The certification on social responsibility for venture companies has been conducted for past five year and based on the research on difference of organizational validity on companies that are certified and non-certified by its practice of social responsibility, we've found organizational trust difference in two groups; the companies that already formed organizational trust did not have new mediation effect due to organizational commitment but the non-certified companies that did not have organization trust created new medication effect from organizational commitment. This can be understood that the organizational commitment effect through social responsibility is already formed for companies that have created organizational trust through social responsibility certification. The organizational infrastructure is needed for sustainable growth and development of an organization; therefore, the differentiated organizational trust for social responsibility certified organization will become the infrastructure for growth of the certified organizations.

  • Globalization of market and diversification of customers' needs make enterprises to collaboration of participants in supply chain. To establish collaboration, supply chain must have the flexibility and reconfigurability, which are supported by fractal based supply chain management (FrSCM). In this paper, base on the FrSCM, formulation of trust model among the enterprises in the supply chain, and development of profit sharing strategies in the supply chain based on the trust model are investigated. To evaluate trust model, generation of enterprise's goal and its description, extraction and systematic composition of trust factors and trust evaluation are investigated. Based on the developed model, we developed the fuzzy inference engine to evaluate the trust value in terms of numerical value. And then revenue sharing strategies are developed based on the fractal concept and trust model for the collaborative SCM. The fractal concept is used to obtain the optimal production and transportation plans. In addition, the trust model will be integrated into the RS model. In such an RS model, the supply chain will obtain the maximum total profit and profit of each participant depends on its trust value.

  • The aim of this research is to examine the impact of trust in reviews. Expertise, enjoyment, recency, and usefulness-four aspects of reviews-are designated as independent variables, and trust in reviews has been chosen as the mediating variable. The dependent variables are trust in firms and trust in products. For explaining the flow of trust, this study uses the theory of Trust Transfer. The study's findings demonstrated that customer trust in a product leads to consumer trust in a company, which is derived from trust in reviews. Reviews were found to be important from a practical standpoint. Furthermore, it was discovered that a product's category or features would have an impact on how reviews are trusted.

Companies are establishing eco-friendly policies to meet the changing expectations of customers. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of eco-friendly behavior and third-party certification on trust, satisfaction, and loyalty as well as the mediating role of satisfaction based on SOR and signaling theory. Research design, data and methodology: This study collected data from 501 respondents who visited restaurant and analyzed using measurement model with SPSS 28.0 and SmartPLS 4. Results: First, restaurants' eco-friendly behavior and third-party certification (TPC) positively influenced trust while these did not influence satisfaction. Second, trust positively influenced satisfaction. Third, trust and satisfaction positively influenced loyalty. Fourth, TPC had stronger impact on trust and satisfaction compared to eco-friendly behavior in female group while TPC had stronger impact on trust in male group. Conclusions: This study emphasized the importance of TPC over eco-friendly behavior. Restaurants should maintain pro-environmental behaviors such as reducing single-use items while obtaining TPC such as ISO and LEED certifications to increase customer trust. It also found the importance of trust and satisfaction in securing loyal customers. Restaurants should make efforts to build bonds with customers through authentic marketing such as events that encourage customer participation.
