Purpose: The aim of this study was to analyze radiological change of Kager's triangle in patients with retrocalcaneal disorders. Materials and Methods: Areas of Kager's triangle and calcaneus were calculated with Heron's Formula. Average of area ratio (area of Kager's triangle / area of calcaneus) was calculated for comparison and analysis, according to disease activity and aging process. One-tailed Z-test was done with the average of area ratio. Results: Average of area ratio (area of Kager's trianlge / area of calcaneous) tends to decrease according to aging process and disease existence. Conclusion: Because area of Kager's triangle in patients with retrocalcaneal disorders tends to change according to disease activity and aging process, we should consider clinical correlation between the anatomical structure of Kager's triangle and retrocalcaneal symptoms.

When we develop the tight-fit 2D pattern from the 3D scan data, segmentation of the 3D scan data into several parts is necessary to make a curved surface into a flat plane. In this study, Garland's method of triangle simplification was adopted to reduce the number of data point without distorting the original shape. The Runge-Kutta method was applied to make triangular patch from the 3D surface in a 2D plane. We also explored the detailed arrangement method of small 2D patches to make a tight-fit pattern for a male body. As results, minimum triangle numbers in the simplification process and efficient arrangement methods of many pieces were suggested for the optimal 2D pattern development. Among four arrangement methods, a block method is faster and easier when dealing with the triangle patches of male's upper body. Anchoring neighboring vertices of blocks to make 2D pattern was observed to be a reasonable arrangement method to get even distribution of stress in a 2D plane.

We shall propose several estimators for the scale parameter in a uniform distribution with the presence of a half-triangle outlier, and obtain mean squared errors(MSE's) for their proposed estimators. And we shall compare numerically efficiencies for proposed several estimators of the scale parameter in a uniform distribution with the presence of a half-triangle outlier in the small sample sizes.

This paper presents a method for designing a control system to stand upright inverted triangle. A linearized model is obtained form the nonlinear system by Taylor series expansion and a state controller is designed based on the model. After implementing the control system which is combined control law and estimator with reference input, experiments are carried out to stand upright inverted triangle at any angluar position.

For multiply Type-II censored samples from a half-triangle distribution, the maximum likelihood method does not admit explicit solutions. In this case, we propose some explicit estimators of the location parameter in the half-triangle distribution by the approximate maximum likelihood methods. We compare the proposed estimators in the sense of the mean squared error for various censored samples.

What is a foundational element of plane geometry? Isn't it possible to constitute the contents of plane geometry from that element? In this paper, we suggest a view point that triangle is a foundational element of plane geometry. And take some examples of reconstruction of usually given contents and mathematical activity centered on the triangle in plane geometry.

A solid modeller was developed in this paper. Representation scheme of modelling is nonmanifold B-rep. While namy B-rep modellers use edges as basic element of modelling, this modeller is triangle-based. New modelling element, split triangle that is composed of 3 pure half-edges and has no information about the adjoining triangles, was defined to enlarge the range of representation. Corresponding algorithms for Boolean set operations were also developed.
