Objectives: This study conducted a survey research to characterize traffic accident(TA) patients seeking Korean medicine treatment and to analyze the symptom improvement and satisfaction scores. Methods: A survey was conducted in 122 outpatients, who visited OO University Korean Hospital due to TA-associated symptoms from November, 2017 to May, 2018. The questionnaire included information on patient demographic characteristics, accident circumstance details, pain levels, reason for treatment selection, treatment methods, treatment purpose, symptom improvement and satisfaction. All statistical analyses were performed using Windows SPSS version 20.0 Results: The characteristics of traffic accident patients using Korean medical institution were usually accidents that occurred while driving slowly, and minor injuries like a sprain. The most important consideration in choosing Korean medical institution was its past experience. The biggest reason for switching treatment from Western medicine to Korean medicine was for diverse treatments. Satisfaction with Korean medicine was measured between very satisfaction and satisfaction. Patients showed the highest satisfaction with acupuncture, followed by pharmacopuncture and chuna manual therapy. Most treatments were measured between very satisfaction and satisfaction. After treatment, 95.90 percent of the patients said they would recommend Korean treatment. Conclusions: Although this study has limitations as research in survey format, we intended to analyze determining factors for the use of Korean medicine treatment through satisfaction, symptom improvement, and Numeric rating scale (NRS) change.
The purpose of this study was to contribute to the relatively neglected area of out -patient satisfaction with physical therapy service by measuring and determining the factors affecting patient satisfaction in the Andong region. One hundred and forty-five subjects (81 males and 64 females) at 11 facilities with a mean age of 39.2 years (SD=16.2) responded to the satisfaction questionnaire. Each questionnaire contained a set of demographic questions and 19 patient satisfaction items. Cronbach's alpha test of reliability was used as the measure of internal consistency . The satisfaction scale had a good reliability coefficient : Cronbach's alpha=.8688. The average satisfaction score (minimum score=19, maximum score=95) was 75.4 ranging from 38 to 90. Respondent variables including sex, education, marital status, religion, medical security, average monthly income, and number of physical therapy out-patient department treatment visits were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, and ANCOVA. Satisfaction with the service was largely unrelated to mallets of sex, education, occupation, or other demographic variables. However, marital status, age, average monthly income, and number of treatment visits in the out-patient department were significantly related to patient satisfaction. The analysis presented here could be replicatied with a larger sample in other areas. Other factors such as physical therapist availability, physical therapist competence, accessibility, waiting time, and atmosphere of the treatment area should be considered in further studies.
Effects on Health Center and Hospital Visit Patient Characteristics and Overall Satisfaction As a result of comparing the characteristics of visiting patients in the public health centers and hospitals, the number of patients at the public health centers was relatively higher than the hospital patients, the number of medical benefits patients was higher, and there were more vaccinations or physiotherapy patients than the purpose of disease treatment. There was a small number of private insurances,The older adults were more. The most influential variable on the overall satisfaction level of the public health center is the facility satisfaction And doctor satisfaction had a weak effect. In the case of hospitals, the facility satisfaction Also, the degree of satisfaction with doctors, satisfaction with medical expenses, and satisfaction with treatment environment were in order.
Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of simultaneous treatment with supplementary therapy and treatment interval for improving symptoms and satisfaction rate by treating child rhinitis or paranasal sinusitis patients. Methods 41 rhinitis or paranasal sinusitis patients who visited the clinic between April 2004 and April 2006 were involved for this study. The patients were classified into Group A(2 sessions per week, simultaneous supplementary therapy), Group B(1 session in 2 weeks, simultaneous supplementary therapy) and Group C(1 session in 2 weeks, no supplementary therapy). After the experiment, the improvement rates of symptoms and satisfaction rate were surveyed by the questionnaires. Supplementary therapies used in Group A and B were aroma spray, Saengbit-patch, cutaneous acupuncture, nebulizer and Chuna manipulation. Results From 41 of the rhinitis or paranasal sinusitis patients, the Group A(simultaneous treatment group, 2 sessions of intensive care per week with supplementary therapy) showed the remaining symptoms score of $12.1{\pm}10.0$ in average. This score was the lowest comparing with the average of $25.7{\pm}12.9$ in Group B(1 session in 2 weeks, simultaneous treatment group with supplementary therapy) and the average of $21.0{\pm}20.1$ in Group C(1 session in 2 weeks, no supplementary therapy). Nose symptoms and sleep scores were significantly lower in Group A(p<0.01). The satisfaction score was the highest in Group B that had the most remaining symptoms and it had no significant relationship with the symptom improvement. Additional analysis showed that among many factors such as treatment interval, treatment method, cost, accessibility of the clinic, family history and satisfaction with the doctor; the satisfaction with their doctor was the most closely related to the satisfaction rate of the patients. Conclusions In this study with 41 of rhinitis or paranasal sinusitis patients, the 2 sessions of intensive care group showed the best results in improving symptoms. Supplementary treatments were also used simultaneously; aroma spray, cutaneous acupuncture, Saengbit-patch, Chuna manipulation and nebulizer. The questionnaires showed that the satisfaction rate of the patients(care taker) was not related to the symptom improvement. Additional analysis of the factors that influence the satisfaction rate showed that it was more closely related to the satisfaction with their doctors.

In this study, we investigated the effects of service quality factors on overall satisfaction of medical treatment service. Especially, we focused on the differences between patients and guardians in impact of service quality factors. The data was gathered by using a structured questionnaire from 220 patients and 220 guardians. Based the factor analyses, we derived the five factors of medical service quality-process, speciality, kindness, convenience of facilities, and cleanness. Then, we examined the effects of the five service quality factors on guardians' satisfaction as well as on patients' satisfaction. The results of the empirical study showed that the kindness is more important to patients than to guardians whereas the speciality is more important to guardians than to patients.
