S-XML Transformation Method for Efficient Distribution of Spatial Information on u-GIS Environment (u-GIS 환경에서 효율적인 공간 정보 유통을 위한 S-XML 변환 기법)

  • In u-GIS environment, we collect spatial data needed through sensor network and provide them with information real-time processed or stored. When information through Internet is requested on Web based applications, it is transmitted in XML. Especially, when requested information includes spatial data, GML, S-XML, and other document that can process spatial data are used. In this processing, real-time stream data processed in DSMS is transformed to S-XML document type and spatial information service based on web receive S-XML document through Internet. Because most of spatial application service use existing spatial DBMS as a storage system, The data used in S-XML and SDBMS needs transformation between themselves. In this paper, we propose S-XML a transformation method using caching of spatial data. The proposed method caches the spatial data part of S-XML to transform S-XML and relational spatial database for providing spatial data efficiently and it transforms cached data without additional transformation cost when a transformation between data in the same region is required. Through proposed method, we show that it reduced the cost of transformation between S-XML documents and spatial information services based on web to provide spatial information in u-GIS environment and increased the performance of query processing through performance evaluation.

Efficient Transformation Method of Soybean Using Meristematic Tissues of Germinating Seeds (발아종자의 분열조직을 이용한 효율적인 콩 형질전환 방법)

  • An efficient transformation method for soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] using meristematic tissues of germinating seeds has been established. The embryonic axes were excised from germinating seeds of Korean soybean cultivar, Iksannamulkong and 0.5-2 cm long segment containing meristematic tissues were prepared by cutting hypocotyl region. The explants were inoculated with Agrobacterium tumefaciens strain LBA4404 harboring a binary vector with the bar gene as a selectable marker gene and a ${\beta}-glucuronidase$ (GUSINT) reporter gene, and then co-cultured for 7 days on co-cultivation medium (CCM). The meristematic tissues were cultured on shoot induction medium (SIMP6) supplemented with 0.4 mg/l $N_6-benzylaminopurine$ (BAP) and 0.1 mg/l indolebutyric acid (IBA) in the presence of 6 mg/l L-phosphinotricin (PPT) for 2 weeks and the surviving explants were transferred to shoot elongation medium (SEMP6). Transformation was confirmed by Southern blot analysis and the transformation efficiencies ranged from 1.48 to 2.07%. The new modified transformation method was successfully implemented for obtaining several transgenic lines with SMV-CP gene. It is expected that this method could efficiently be used for the transformation of recalcitrant soybean cultivars.

  • Sometimes characterized graphic map rather than realistic graphic map can help users to understand information more easily. This paper tried to reveal the relation between the methodology to create outline on the map using caricature automatic algorism and level of human cognition. Caricature algorism such as exaggeration transformation algorism, joint transformation algorism and simplification algorism were used to create outline on the map. In order to apply exaggeration transformation algorism and joint transformation algorism, the method to create average form of the object were developed. We survey how users recognize the similarity of the characterized map with the real map when realistic map is simplified by certain value of simplification rate and transformed into certain value of exaggeration rate or joint transformation rate. We also survey how users recognize the similarity differently according to the scale of the map. As a result of this study, the method to calculate the optimal data is developed for users to recognize caricatured map effectively by shifting scale. This data can be used as basic data, when map developers create outline of map with programming code on computer

  • We propose a result on the stabilization of nonlinear time-delay systems via the feedback linearization method. Using the predictor based control and the parametric coordinate transformation, we introduce a stabilizing controller to compensate time delay. Specifically, we present the delay-dependent stability analysis to makes the considered system stable. Also, an illustrative example is provided

  • An important assumption for the active power filter design using instantaneous power theory and the d-q transformation method in a 3-phase power system is based on balanced 3-phase system. However, under pratical conditions, the 3-phase power system can not be continuously balanced due to unbalanced loading. In this paper, a method to control the 3-phase active power filer using instantaneous power theory and the d-q transformation under unbalanced power system is presented and the theoretical results are verified by simulated results.

  • This paper describes an exact method of analysis for natural vibration of diagonal networks by considering an equivalent cyclic periodic structure and adopting the double U-transformation technique. Both a lumped mass system and a distributed mass system are considered to investigate the diagonal networks. The exact solution for the frequency equations and the natural modes of the networks can be derived. As numerical examples, square diagonal cable networks with different meshes are worked out.

  • In this paper the stress intensity factor under uniform pressure in the arbitrarily-shaped plane crack configuration transformed elliptic crack by Mobius mapping are determined. Using Dysons formula Boussinesq-Papkovich potentials for mode I deformation are constructed. In the example the stress intensity factors are approximately calculated by least square method.

  • In this thesis, we work on the curve recognition with real time processing and the Robot tracking method on recognized curve. Image information of segment curve is supplied to computer to run to a Robot so that it is a feedback system. Image coordinate frame to world coordinate transformation represents in this paper and curve matching algorithm subscribes by two method, first transformation matching algorithm, second image coordinate matching algorithm.   • Using computer picture processing, a method of extracting the region of a car number plate is described. A modified Hough transformation, in which parameter plane is restricted, is proposed. The demerits of Hough transformation, i.e., it requires much computation time and storage capacity, are reduced by this method. Further, taking the features of a car number plate into consideration, the region of a car number plate is extracted.
